This spacious 2 bedroom house is conveniently located on the beach, near a Frappe shop & restaurants and on the same road to the local beach. We woke up to a rainbow one morning and to manatees a few feet away the next! We loved the soothing sounds of the waves. The home is equipped with A/C's and TV's in the bedrooms and has everything you need for a pleasant stay (beach towels, kitchen utensils, even a caldero). There is also a pool table that my husband and kids enjoyed using. The owner is an amazing host. She is friendly and accommodating and makes you feel right at home. We were visiting with kids and spent a lot of time outside the home but in the future I would plan to stay and just enjoy the patio on the beach. There is a canopy, beach chairs and even a bed to enjoy tanning or a nap (see pic). Visitors are allowed. Perfect for entertaining and watching the sun set. We felt safe in this area and the owner was staying upstairs. If you aren't looking for luxury but want a safe, pleasant, fun, practical, affordable place on the beach, then you just found it.

Excelente lugar, muy bueno para descansar y pasarla bien en familia. Tiene una vista espectacular al mar y se puede disfrutar de las visitas de los manatí. Me encanto.

We absolutely loved this place! The host went above and beyond all expectations to ensure we were happy. Location was ideal with the ocean in our back yard! House was spacious and sparkling clean. It was even equipped with everything necessary, from beach towels to salt and pepper in the kitchen. We were really happy to find a washing machine as well. Great bar/restaurant next door. We especially enjoyed having a few late night drinks with some friendly locals at a very small bar further down the street but still within walking distance of Maria's Beach house. We also made friends with some very friendly stray dogs there and returned to feed them the next day, so dont forget to bring some dog food with you! Cat food would be good too since a cat appeared to eat some of the dog food we put out. Lol Can't say enough about how great this place is!

Beautiful spacious house in El Bajo en Patillas with the public beach just down the road. Maria met us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house. She introduced us to the neighbors who care for the home in her absence. The house is great for entertaining as the living and dining rooms are a huge open space. The house was also equipped with everything needed including little extras such as toiletries and towels. Working A/C in both bedrooms. The backyard leads to the beach and a one morning we spotted a manatee in the distance!! Shortly after 6pm a beautiful sunset. Only observation is the master bedroom has a full bath and the other one is a half bath. So we all had to shower in the master one, the 3rd one which is a full bath located outside, perfect for washing off after the beach. The 2nd bedrm has a bunk bed and a queen bed. A little tight for our group but Maria did offer a mattress for the liv rm. The two sofas are loveseats so not comfy to sleep on. Once the lights were out in the bedrm everyone else was in the dark bc there is no lamp in the room 😊 and no TV just a small in the master room. Overall we felt safe, there is a frappe/restaurant a few houses down and the host was super nice. Did I say backyard beach!! Totally worth it and we recommend this home if it fits your needs!

Everything Maria told us was true. We also got some great tips on things to do from the people living on the top floor and the neighbor. We kayaked with Manatees, had great dinners a few houses down, drinks were good and inexpensive everywhere we went. Visited 3 great but different local beaches. Our only comment for improvement was one air conditioner for the whole place and it would keep only the bedroom cool. Breezes did give some relief inside in the evening. The cost was well worth the time spent. We will go back.

Very nice and private! Lots of room and everyone is friendly! There was a really nice seafood restaurant just a one minute walk away! The kitchen in the house had everything I needed. I would go back again!
