We loved Anchor Lodge the moment we turned into the drive. We were three families meeting for a holiday together and were delighted with the accommodation. There are five bedrooms each with an en-suite bathroom. Also a very large living room, two "snugs" and a really well-equipped kitchen including washing machine and dishwasher. There was plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. The garden led directly onto the shoreline of the Moray Firth and the views were delightful.
The property was within easy reach of the main A9 so plenty of opportunity for sightseeing. It really is an ideal property for a holiday in the Highlands.

10 bed spacious house.
Just had 1 week at this property only 10 minutes drive outside Inverness on the banks of the Beauly Firth.
6 adults lots of space in this large property.
Pool table was well used.
Wake up look out the window over the Beauly Firth.
Bella the property owner was very helpful.
Great place would recommend to anyone travelling in the Inverness area.

Excelente ubicación
Ubicación ideal para conocer las highlands, frente al mar. Antiguo hotel, se nota por las instalaciones pero limpio. Muy recomendable

Wonderful family holiday! And pet-friendly, too!
Lovely situation on the banks of Beauly Forth and within easy reach (driving) of Inverness. Lots of room for everyone, large kitchen and two lounges and a conservatory. Ideally placed for exploring the Black Isle, Culloden ans Loch Ness area. We were also lucky enough to see dolphins from Chanonry point!
Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay
First, it is important to make it clear what the house and is not. Just making sure future guests know what to expect.
Also, we run a Trip Advisor Cert of Excellence vacation rental property ourselves and the feedback we provide is grounded on how we run our own rental.
The house is a very large home outside of Inverness. It has 5 bedrooms that are pretty much the same and feel like hotel rooms. The living room is huge. There is a separate TV room and enormous kitchen.
This is a house that requires a car. This is not a home in town that is within walking distance to anything.
We chose this house as we are a large family that needs the space. We also wanted a base camp from which to drive all over the Highlands but come back to at night.
The house was perfect for our needs. Bella was easy to get hold of and quick to communicate with.
The description is accurate, but we don’t think it gives the house credit for its amazing location. Ditto for the pictures.
We found the house to be spotless. Sheets and bedding were crisp and pure white. Plenty of everything. The walls have been freshly painted.
Where the home falls short is the carpet and the bathrooms. The carpet is old and should have been replaced 10 years ago. The bathrooms have dim lightbulbs, have this cheap plastic tiles around the tub/shower, and the sinks use the cute, but archaic and not very useful separate faucets for hot and cold water. We understand that this may be consistent with the British heritage, but in the year 2018 guests expect simplicity and the ability to control the water temperature coming from the faucets.
Overall we would highly recommend this house. The location and the views from the house are priceless. A new carpet and birighter light bulbs will breath new life in this otherwise great house.
