Beautifully kept property in a fantastic location in the centre of Nairn, ideal for golfers playing the local courses. Host was very helpful also.

Super family holiday
Excellent location, central for everything. Very well equipped house. Lovely big rooms. The kitchen is great for cooking and playing games in. Overall brilliant for a family. The owner is very attentive and any issues sorted them quickly.

Spacious,, high-character lodging foe a family
Our family of five adults and teens stayed at Cala Sona for 4 nights during an unusually warm stretch in June. The house itself is delightful - spacious, well-equipped eat-in kitchen where we cooked several meals, 4 large bedrooms and 2 full baths, and a lovely lounge. Despite the heat of the day, the house stayed remarkably cool; the thick stone walls and well-placed top floor skylight window kept the air moving and refreshing. While close to everything it was also quiet. And having off-street parking was also key.
The location is great. The beach, three grocery stores, and tons of cafes, bars and restaurants are all just a couple minutes walk away. We especially enjoyed the Bandstand, which is a minute away and overlooks the beach park. The staff and fare at Cafe Fusion on the high street were also wonderful.
Nairn is also a good base for trips to Inverness, Culloden, Cawdor Castle, and numerous hiking spots. We’re not golfers but apparently there are wonderful courses nearby if that’s your thing.
Jim was fabulous to work with. Always available and super friendly. He gave insider tips for where to go and eat in Nairn that were spot on. We had a blip with the internet our first day and Jim promptly acted and resolved it immediately.
We loved our stay at Cala Sona and would jump at the chance to stay again. Thank you, Jim!

Terrific
Great location, close to everything: shops, restaurants, beach. The house is immaculate with large rooms, a big eat in kitchen, and a handsome grassy garden. The owner checked in with us regularly by email to make sure we didn’t have any questions or problems. Would definitely rent again!

Stunning and Special in the Scottish Highlands
Stayed at Cala Sona for a week and could not have been more pleased. All four ladies in my travel party were delighted by the charming home and town. The house and garden are lovely and provide the perfect homebase for a Nairn holiday. The host is top notch and cares about his guests having a fantastic stay. Highly recommend this property. Cheers!

Perfect!
A 5 minute walk to grocery store, specialty shops, returants, and a great pub! Home was outfitted with comfortable beds and a large eat-in kitchen with all the utensils needed to cook. You are a half block from a beautiful sandy beach and large grassy area for watching and playing sports. There is even a nice play space for kids with an ice cream stand. Enjoy Nairn’s harbor and river walk. All sooo close. Taxis are available for trips to nearby castles, forts, train station and tours. Fun memories were made. Enjoy!

Fantastic house
A great house with everything you could need. Such a central location. A few minutes walk to beach, the main street, pubs and restaurants. The host Jim sent great information on places to visit and where to eat. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to explore the area and would definitely book again.

Wonderful beach holiday house in Nairn
Great house that comfortably accommodated 6 adults and 2 children. So close to the beach and the town it made an ideal spot for our holiday. We loved the family kitchen and the kids loved the jacuzzi bath. The whole house was so comfortable that it felt like home and with the enormous sandy beach so close and beautiful scenery surrounding it let alone seeing dolphins it all made for a wonderful holiday.

wunderschönes Häuschen in toller Lage
Das Haus ist ein urgemütliches, typisches schottisches Cottage. Wir waren 3 Erwachsene und 3 Teenager und hatten ausreichend Platz. Es gibt 2 Badezimmer, eines im Erdgeschoss mit Toilette und Dusche und eines im ersten Stock mit Toilette und Whirlpool-Badewanne inkl. Dusche. Insgesamt hat das Haus 3 Stockwerke: im EG Wohnzimmer, Küche mit großem Esstisch und angrenzendem Waschraum mit Waschmaschine und Trockner, ein kleiner Abstellraum mit Staubsauger etc. und das Bad. Im ersten Stock sind 2 (Doppelbett)Schlafzimmer und ein Badezimmer. Im Dachgeschoss befindet sich ein Schlafzimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten und ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Einzelbett, außerdem gibt es in der "Galerie-Nische" noch einen Schreibtisch. Wir fanden das Haus sehr sauber vor und unser Gastgeber James war immer per WhatsApp erreichbar. Er ist selbst nicht vor Ort, hat uns aber bei Bedarf Ansprechpartner genannt (wir haben sie nicht gebraucht) und die Schlüsselübergabe war per Schlüsselsafe bestens geregelt. Auch tolle Ausflugs- und Restauranttipps haben wir von James erhalten. Wir haben uns während unseres Aufenthaltes rundum wohl und gut betreut gefühlt. Als einzigen kleinen Kritikpunkt kann ich nur die Anzahl und Größe der Töpfe anbringen, diese waren für uns sechs Personen etwas knapp bemessen. Eine große Auflaufform wäre auch schön gewesen, es waren nur ziemlich kleine vorhanden, die etwas knapp sind für sechs Personen. Ansonsten war die Küche sehr gut und großzügig mit Essgeschirr und Besteck ausgestattet. Auch grundlegende Kochzutaten wie Essig und Öl, Pfeffer und Salz etc. waren vorhanden. Es gab ausßerdem eine Kapsel-Kaffeemaschine (haben wir allerdings nicht benutzt, wir hatten unsere eigene dabei), einen Toaster und eine Mikrowelle.
Wenn man seitlich am Haus vorbei durch die Gasse geht (vorbei an einem sehr guten Restaurant/Pub, Reservierung empfehlenswert) kommt man über die Straße und eine große Rasenfläche direkt zum wunderschönen Sandstrand.

Excellent accommodation, outstanding host!
This house was perfect for our golf group consisting of 4 golfers. 4 bedrooms and 2 baths were just what we we desired. House had all the amenities we needed, everything was well maintained and in excellent condition. Location is very central and easy walk to restaurants and pubs. A bonus is the owner, James, who provided lots of useful recommendations on places to eat and drink and things to see and do. He followed up and checked on us several times to insure all was well with our stay.
Very much appreciated. I highly recommend this house to anyone planning a trip to the Nairn/Inverness area.
