Myself & my 5 friends stayed in Mount Cogill at the weekend and what an amazing place it is, Felicia & Roland the owners are amazing hosts and were so good showing us around and even leaving us breakfast for the mornings. The house is full of beautiful artwork and is spotless. The beds are super comfy and we all slept so well, we all live in Dublin so wanted to take a break somehere after covid where we could all just relax and chill out and we did just that. Its fairly rural so you would need to bring your own food with you for cooking or you can drive 10 mins to the lovely Step House Hotel where you can get food but we chose to eat in the house and just enjoy our surroundings.
The house is not suitable for kids as there is a metal staircase but also far too many nice items in the house that could be damaged but also could hurt a child if something fell plus there is a pond out back but its no harm having somewhere that you can get away to without the kids.
We would have loved to stay for an extra day and said next time we book we will stay for 3 nights, I came across Mount Cogill just be googling places to stay and am so glad I did as it is a gem of a place with wonderful hosts.

An absolutely palatial, rural estate
Our family of four stayed here in August, 2019. This is simply the most beautiful (and expansive) property in which we've ever stayed.
The architecture, the furnishings and the appointments are absolutely stunning. All of the rooms are expansive and extremely functional. This rental has simply ruined future rentals for me with its opulence.
It's a bit of a drive on some isolated roads to reach (but honestly an adventure itself which the kids enjoyed), but it's the perfect little retreat amidst a busy vacation.
The proprietors, Felicia and Roland, were an absolute pleasure: personable and always ready with a bit of history or travel advice!
We normally try to book modest, two-bedroom rentals, but this property made me feel like absolute royalty during our stay.
Heartily recommended and I only hope we'll have a chance to stay here again!

Beautiful house & gardens
We spent 2 nights here recently
The house is only 11/2 hours from Dublin
It is a really fabulous house, perfect for 4 couples, the art & furniture make it very special & unique
It is quite remote - this was not a problem for us at all as it was made clear on the website
Our hosts were close by & were very friendly & helpful when needed
Would definitely recommend it & we all hope to return

Fantastic
I was looking for a house for my husband and myself and my 3 adult children. I found Mount Cogill online through Air B&B. As soon as I saw the house and property I was sold. But...it far exceeded my expectations. The house was extraordinary...full of amazing art work with an incredible home design. And so comfortable!! The gardens and pond in the immediate perimeter were so lovely and the views of the countryside surrounding the property were awesome. Roland and Felicia were wonderful hosts. They wanted to assure our privacy but were there with so much knowledge and great suggestions! I recommend it highly and plan to go back!!

Excellent in Every Way
We were a family grouping of 8 including a 4 week old baby celebrating a special birthday. We had such an enjoyable long weekend in this amazing house - very interesting layout, lots of open space to relax in and wonderful views. The hosts, Felicia and Roland, were wonderful in every way from the initial welcome including providing lots of 'goodies' in the fridge. This is a real gem - we hope to be back.

A beautiful house in a tranquil setting....
We traveled to Ireland for a wedding. We were a family of seven, ranging from Nan to our 8 year old.
We all found the the house special. Very comfortable, offering picturesque views and ample space inside and also outside for the young ones to explore and enjoy.
Roland and Felicia were very welcoming and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

AMAZING!!!!!
A stunning home with breathtaking views and a wonderful host. We booked Mount Cogill for a large party and it was perfect. We searched for Kevin McCloud but it was a grand design home just for us. We loved everything from the amazing wet room to the quirky art and alternative layout. An experience, Id move back permanently if I could. Thank you Felicia! You made our Weekend

Enjoyable Stay
During our stay in this unbelievable house, we enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing two night break. The house itself is an experience on its own and I would recommend this to anyone. On behalf of our group I would like to thank the owners of this property for the hospitality and warm welcome they gave to us. Will definitely be back!

First Class Stay
Very enjoyable stay for two nights at this property! The owners were very helping and caring to us. The décor of the house was fascinating. Definitely recommend this property to anyone!
