Beautiful Cottage in the countryside, quite, peaceful, spotless and well equipped with all the essentials that you need for your holiday, Myself and extended family had a great week here in August.. The views of The Reek are stunning, We loved Mayo, its so beautiful, Teach Mo Croí is very near Ballintubber Abbey and Corleys Pub/Resteraunt where food is great, I would highly recommend for your holiday, you won't be disappointed... ❤️

Our family had a pleasure to stay at this lovely cottage last week. It was such a wonderful home, beautiful design, very spacious, clean and tidy. Outdoor space great for children, they can play safely. Maura the hostess was very helpful, she explained everything to us.

Our family of 7 spent a wonderful week in Teach Mo Chroí in July. With our kids’ ages ranging from 11 to 20 it’s not always easy to find a place where everyone is happy but this beautiful country home ticked all the boxes for us! The house truly exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully maintained and equipped with everything you can think of. There is lots of space (both indoors and outdoors), a large well-equipped kitchen, really comfortable beds, great showers, plenty of hot water and the all-important Wi-Fi for the teenagers. The outdoor spaces and gardens were also fantastic. The view from the back patio was stunning. We were fortunate to get great weather for our week. As a result we were able to dine outdoors every day and the BBQ got great use, as did the football goals, the basketball nets and the swing-sets! The house is a peaceful rural retreat and a beautiful spot to relax but it’s also a great base for exploring Mayo and beyond. We climbed Croagh Patrick, spent a day on beautiful Keem Beach in Achill, had a great visit to Joyce’s Sheepherding dog demonstrations (which was a highlight of the week for our kids), visited Westport and Westport House, among other things. A return visit will be required to do some of the other activities we had hoped to do but didn't manage to fit in on this trip, such as cycling on the Greenway and a Corrib Cruise. The owner Karla was a pleasure to communicate with and provided us with lots of information on things to do in the area. The local hostess Maura was also lovely to deal with and keeps the house in immaculate condition. Looking forward to a return visit in the future!

We had a very relaxing weekend at Teach mo Croi. The house is extremely comfortable and well thought through. We were a family of 5 and our three children (age 2-11) disappeared into the garden for most of the weekend. The soccer pitch, basket ball hoops and swings came into great use. The house is in a rural setting so the only noises we heard were a passing tractor or nearby donkey braying. It’s located mid way between Westport and Castlebar, both lively towns but for basic supplies there is a petrol station 3min drive from the house that is well stocked. The local pub Corleys beside Ballintubber Abbey does fantastic food and the family that run it couldn’t be more friendly and welcoming. The owner was great at communicating all the information we needed and the lady who met us to give us the key had some great local tips. We’ll definitely be looking to escape to Teach mo Croi again.

My young family and I really enjoyed our holiday in Teacht Mó Craoí. The house had plenty of room for entertaining our three kids - with a large garden area complete with football nets and a swing set. The house was spotless and serenely quiet - but still only a short drive to the nearby shop. The house had nice features: a huge, fully equipped kitchen, a cosy wood panelled living area and a spacious wet room for drying off wet gear after hill walking/cycling the green way. They also supplied sets of binoculars for getting closer looks at Croagh Patrick which is visible from the back of the property. A great base for exploring wild Mayo! The shop was a short drive away and it was a great base for exploring Westport and beyond.

Thanks to Covid, we decided to staycation in Mayo this year. Knowing the weather can be at best predictably changeable, we wanted to ensure we had a good comfortable base to come back to each evening after cycling or walking. Teach mo Chroi was just that. A stylish country cottage with views of Croagh Patrick, the house was spotlessly clean, had all the mod cons and the most comfortable beds, we have slept in for a long time. All my kids slept until well past nine every morning which was an added bonus!! Every detail is thought of for a home away from home stay. Flat screen tv in the living room wi thy a lovely stove for the evenings, all the mod kitchen appliances, well equipped bathrooms and tonnes of room. I could t recommend it highly enough..

What a find! Absolutely everything has been thought of for visitors. A beautiful house, beautiful grounds and an ideal base for travelling around Mayo. Booking was stress free, instructions regarding our stay and use of house and appliances were clear and readily accessible. Would definitely recommend this charming stay.

This is our 3rd stay in this wonderful home. Plenty of room for myself and my Dad and several of my Irish cousins who spend time with us while there. Wonderful large kitchen for cooking family dinners and Irish breakfasts, great view out of the back of the house. Cozy sitting room with stove, step down transformer allows us to use US electronics and medical equipment without adapters. En-suite bathroom was just remodeled, walk in shower enlarged with a seat. Great for my Dad who has a slight disability from a stroke. House is always clean, warm and welcoming. I have recommended to family and friends. A taste of Ireland with great amenities. Looking forward to our return in 2021.

There was 11 people in our party. We booked the house as we planned to climb Croagh Patrick. We were blessed with the weather. This house is in a beautiful location, so tranquil. Big front garden and plenty of room for our 6 children. The house was in pristine condition upon arrival. Literally home from home. The cupboard in the hall was full of clean towels and linen. We didn't want to leave!! I have never stayed in such a well equipped house. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much.
