This is the third year running we've stayed with Steve and Debbie and we just love it so much. You won't find two more welcoming and friendly people hence why we keep returning (that and of course Steve's Rugby Ribs!!, and Wine!!)

Fantastic
A really quiet retreat from everything but close to places to visit. We managed Carcassonne, Limoux and of course the wonderful market and town of Mirepoix. Hosts Debbie and Steve could not have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it had been longer. Back next year for more.

A wonderful, quiet, well appointed gite. Close to loads of interesting places to visit. Brilliant, friendly hosts. Have just spent 6 days here but wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you Debbie and Steve.

Excellent base to explore a beautiful area
Great location with lots of lnteresting places to visit, super scenic road trips and cities to explore in this beautiful part of France . The owners Steve and Debbie could not have been any more helpful which made our trip a great success, the cottage was well appointed and a pleasure to live in, I would thoroughly recommend this property.

Lovely Gite, lovely hosts
The house was really lovely and a testament to the hard work Steve and Debbie have put in. Both Steve and Debbie we very friendly and welcoming and full of really useful information about the region, things to do etc, with a really comprehensive selection of brochures, leaflets and books available. We loved our stay and hope Steve and Debbie enjoyed the BBQ before we left. We'd highly recommend staying here and we hope to again. As the title says "lovely gite, lovely hosts". X

An absolutely splendid Gite in a peacefu situationl with beautiful atmosphere - personally run by lovely hosts
On our recent trip to the Carcassonne region in France, we stayed at “Chez Grady”, a wonderfully endearing Gite in the small village of Cailhavel, run by Debbie and Steve who live in the adjoining premises. What excellent hosts. Thanks to you both for making our stay so perfect. The accommodation (and we have stayed in many similar properties in Europe over the years) was of the highest standard and the situation was quite perfect. Whilst being totally non-intrusive our hosts were always available to attend to any needs, and to offer friendly counsel on places of interest to visit, all of which were within easy travelling distance, and how best to get there. More information on places, markets and local attractions was abundant in a collection of brochures etc. comprehensively indexed for easy reference. All of this and the personal touch made our holiday run so smoothly. The furnishings and equipment were of the highest standard and the interior décor was equally pleasing and comfortable. During our stay our daughter visited the region and Debbie set up the spare room in our Gite for her use during the period of her stay, we were therefore able to spend quality time with her, again due to our hosts welcoming and friendly efforts. It is indeed difficult to say how much they added to the excellent quality of accommodation and atmosphere without sounding perhaps “over the top” - but believe me these two lovely people really know how to make guests feel welcome and looked after in a pleasant location with high standards of facilities. I know we will visit the region again and I know exactly where we will be staying!!! Thank you Debbie and Steve for making Carcassonne 2017 a really splendid holiday. See you again (very) soon.

Cosy, comfortable, quiet cottage, within easy reach of all this region has to offer.
We stayed for a week and enjoyed glorious Autumn weather, but Deborah and Steve made sure the heating was on and provided plenty of logs for the wood burner so we were cosy in the cooler evenings. We were made very welcome and were very impressed with the well-organised and detailed information about things to see and do in the area. The cottage was immaculate and very well-equipped with comfy beds. We slept really well. For us it was a perfect base from which to explore the region - Carcassonne, Cathar castles, mountains, medieval villages, markets, the Canal du Midi ( we rented an electric boat at Bram for an hour) and the coast. There are no cafes, shops or restaurants in the village, so we ate out at lunchtime and cooked in the evenings, before planning our next day's itinerary sitting in front of the log burner. Thank you Deborah and Steve for a relaxing and fascinating holiday!

Pour un séjour réussi
Nous avons séjourné dans le gîte du 13 au 27 août 2016 et c'est avec un immense regret que nous avons quitté cet hébergement où tout a été pensé pour qu'on s'y sente bien. La rénovation est une parfaite réussite car réalisée avec goût et sans ostentation. La literie est très confortable et le canapé et les fauteuils du salon ne sont pas des anciens meubles en toute fin de vie comme on en trouve trop souvent, même dans les gîtes 3 épis. A l'extérieur, nous disposions d'un " coin repas" sur la terrasse et d'un salon à l'ombre d'un immense figuier et ...nous avons pris tous nos repas à l'extérieur.
Mais nous avons particulièrement apprécié la gentillesse, la générosité et la discrétion de nos hôtes qui savent aussi se montrer disponibles pour donner des idées de randonnées ou de visites dans cette belle région qu'ils connaissent bien. De plus la documentation est abondante, récente et très bien classée.
On sent que Steve et Debbie font tout pour qu'un séjour dans leur gîte soit un excellent souvenir et ils y parviennent complètement. Alors bravo à eux et mille mercis pour toutes les petites attentions dont nous avons bénéficié.
