Just returned to England after a wonderful stay at the beautiful Casa Mata in Torremolinos. From when I booked the house until I left Greg the owner has been a very helpful and kind host. Miguel who checked me in was also very helpful and kind too. The Casa Mata is a beautiful typical Spanish house tucked away but with very easy and close by access to Calle San Miguel, the little shops, bakery, Llanjaron and Ponderos and the beach. Extremely well equipped with everything to hand and then some I very quickly felt at home. Very well cared for and clean. Slept really well the best in a long time. The local Spanish neighbours were very kind and helpful. Appreciated my attempts in Spanish. Very much looking forward to returning soon. Thank you so much Greg and Miguel.

Lovely we house in the centre of Torremolinos Had a great stay surrounded by friendly locals The house is small but has everything you would need for a great holiday. The bed was so comfy .Would highly recommend for couples The house is surrounded by restaurants and bars all well priced and full of locals. There was even a fountain with fresh mountain spring water at the end of the street which we used to have fresh water daily. Gregorio the owner is an extremely nice and helpful guy Really hope to be able to return soon

Fabulous authentic little house
We stayed for 11 nights (5th - 16th may 2019) at this super little house. Forget the high rise holiday hotels and mingle with the locals in this comfortable pleasantly decorated accomodation.lovely kitchen and 2 bathrooms (one en suite) very handy! The bedroom is fantastic with an extremely comfortable bed - slept so well for busy days ahead. Close to everything you need -train station, town centre, supermarkets, shops and bakeries with a fantastic selection of bread, pastries and cakes (delicious!) We received a warm welcome and some handy tips/advice - thank you.The weather was great which meant we did lots of walking and time spent at the beach. Visits to malaga, benalmadena and batterie park to name a few. So many restaurants difficult to choose where to go - we had some delicious meals -little italy and an italian restaurant on the steps to the beach (forgot the name) are definately worth a mention.We love the costa del sol - so many fabulous places to visit, however this was our first time staying in torremolinos. We wern't disappointed!i'm sure we'll be back (sooner rather than later) i would highly recommend this little house to friends and family.

Perfect little house.
Small but perfectly formed with all amenities in the middle of the old part of Torremolinos. Short walk from station. Easy 15 minutes down to beach. Uphill coming back but there is actually a lift for the worst part but we didn’t actually use it. Food at the Lanzaron restaurant around the corner delicious and reasonably priced. We caught a train to Malaga for the day and in the other direction to Fuengirola on another day. Everyone very friendly. The owners very helpfull. Can’t wait to come again next January. Instead of freezing in London we walked around in light clothes and had our lunches sitting in the sun in 18 degrees. Early morning and night time obviously chilly but saying that, the air conditioner is also a heater but we didn’t feel the need for it.

Small but perfect in every way
This rental was a truly delightful find. It is situated on a quiet residential street yet is only a few minutes walk from the train station. It's also very close to supermarkets, shops, restaurants and the beach. There is lots to explore in Torremolinos itself such as a lovely promenade where you can walk for miles, we walked to Fuengirola one day and took the train back. We enjoyed the Sunday flea market very much.
There are also lots of interesting day trips - we spent a day exploring Malaga, the old town is lovely.
As to the accommodation, we were welcomed by Miguel and the house has everything you could possibly want, including three different coffee makers! The attention to detail given by the owners is second to none, they supply instructions about how to use everything (which is so often lacking in rentals) and they even provided us with a map showing the best route to take from the station to the house.
A perfect trip, even the weather was kind so we had no need to use the air con or heating - even the wi-fi was reliable.

Great little house in a local area in Torremolinos. We had a great time an there were no problems at all. We can on give the best recommendations and we also wish that we can come back soon.

Lovely little house; Perfect for a couple.
Centrally located, this little house is a pure hidden gem! Very quite, friendly and helpful neighbourhood . Only five minutes comfortable walk from the main train station and local shops where you can find anything you may looking for.... restaurants. cafe' bars , pubs and so on. Having an extra bathroom on the bedroom upper floor and another tv set ,made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen is of an high standards and very well equipped with everything you may need. We really enjoyed our stay and may visit again!!

Fantastic!
Great week away in a great town - very ideal for couples. House is situated very close to everything i.e. Beach, train station & lots of restaurants & shops. The house is also fully equipped with all necessities and with friendly & helpful hosts.
Would definately recommend :)

Traditional bijou casita with state of the art interior.f
Firstly...the area is a favourite of mine. Only a few steps from Torremolinos centre but benefitting from living in the local area.
Rental has everything you would need during your stay. Hairdryer (even straighteners!) It has a corner position in the street affording outside seating in the sunshine...passing neighbour's nodding good morning. Nice.
Round the corner to the right is a great affordable modern hair salon (from €6 euros) and....accross the street from there is El Lanzaron restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating...good inexpensive place serving menu of the day @ €8. To be recommended.
further down and accross the busier street into one of the passageways opposite is Picasso square. Pedestrianised ...many decent bars and relaxing place to sit with a drink.
Only issues with the rental are the spiral staircase but this is an age thing. Ok if you are supple.
The couple of notices in kitchen area with house rules etc could e dispensed with. A tad off putting.
