When you book with Airbnb in a city you have never been to, you are never quite certain where you will be. We are so grateful for our good fortune. Maria’s apartment is a dream for us….the elegance of the balconies in a centuries old building, he tasteful and comfortable décor, the spaciousness that we never expected to find in a one bedroom apartment. The kitchen is very large and has everything you might need for cooking. There are endless small grocery stores, restaurants and bars around every corner.. You will enjoy having a King size bed with very high quality sheets. The bathroom is modern with lots of place to put your toiletries; the shower is excellent. We are literally steps away from the Old Town, from the Bretxa Market, from the Boulevard, from the museums, from the mountains and the beaches… all the places I had read about in Rick Steves book about Spain. Maria, our hostess, was so very gracious in providing us with directions, suggestions and, in general, wanting to see us have the best experience possible here. It was a privilege to spend our brief time in San Sebastian in this superbly elegant and perfectly located accommodation. Thank you Maria for an unforgettable visit to this beautiful Basque city.

Tripadvisor hat die Reservierung storniert und die erste Zahlung einbehalten.
Die zweite Zahlung über € 840,00 sollte lt. der Reservierung bei Fällligkeit automatisch abgebucht werden. Das hat Tripadvisor aber nicht getan und dann be-
hauptet, wir hätten nicht bezahlt. Auf unseren wiederholten Widerspruch hat Tripad-
visor nie reagiert. Fazit: Buche niemals bei Tripadvisor.

You could not be better placed for visiting this lovely city. Apartment is comfortable and great for 2 people. Generally well-equipped. Owner lives close by and really helpful.

Perfect Home Away from Home in San Sebastián-Donastia
Absolutely the best place to stay in San Sebastián. Perfect location, mesmerizing sea view, sparking clean apartment fully outfitted to make this truly a home away from home. To top it off, a lovely and very accommodating hostess who provided a wealth of information on arrival. We highly recommend and hope very much to return! A Perfect Week In San Sebastián
The apartment is perfectly located between Playa Zurriola and Playa De La Concha ideal for long days at the beach. It is close to The Old Town which is great for pintxo bars and many good restaurants. We used La Bretxa(a 3 minute walk)to buy the weeks groceries. This market was very reasonable and included local butchers,fishmongers and veg stalls as well as a LIDL.
The apartment had a nice homely feel to it and was very spacious,well equipped,clean and comfortable. The lounge,bedroom and kitchen all had a small balcony with double doors to let the sea breeze in. I particularly liked sitting on the lounge balcony in the morning having a cup of tea watching the surfers on Playa Zurriola and taking in views of the river. Dinner in the spacious kitchen of an evening was very nice too. Due to the great location of the apartment we were spoilt for choice for an evening out. Some nights we would head into The Old Town or visit the neighbourhoods of Gros or Barrio Romantico for a more relaxed evening.
Public transport in San Sebastián is very good too. We visited Hondarribia for the day and were impressed by the beach and beautiful town centre. If you want to venture further afield the local bus station is a 15-20 minute walk away. It provides services to Bilbao Airport and Bilbao,Pamplona etc. Also,Amara Station is about a 20-25 minute walk. From there you can travel to a number of destinations including Hendaye with connecting buses to St Jean De Luz,Bayonne and Biarritz.
The owner of the apartment was a very nice lady who lives next door. She provided us with many suggestions for day trips and places to eat etc. Communication with the owner was excellent from the time of booking to arriving at the apartment. I’ve visited San Sebastián for several years and rate this accommodation as the best my family and I have stayed in. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and look forward to staying there again.

Just right for us
The apartment is lovely and so is the owner, who lives next door. The nearest beach is five minutes away. There is shade to buy, there are toilets and there is a small bar. The other beach is around 7 minutes away but the purchasable shade is further. We didn’t see any beach bars although there are places on the promenade above the beach - expensive.
This review, though, is about the apartment. And it can’t be faulted. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, the shower is brilliant - which is important. And it’s in the middle of the best spot. I would come here again and I would also have no hesitation in recommending it.

Dream Come True
San Sebstian has always been a "bucket list" destination for me, and this apartment completed my dream trip. My arrival was completely accommodated even though I was a bit early; I'd flown into Biarritz and was not aware that travel would be so fast and easy to SS. I had the luxury of staying for the New Year and Maria greeted treated me in the afternoon with a plate for fresh treats she had made herself. I cannot imagine a better way to start the year. I often travel alone and must work while traveling even for pleasure. The wifi was fast and easy. The location is unbeatable. Don't miss this opportunity to live like a local and always know that your host is accommodating and helpful. I cannot wait to return!

Lindo y muy bien ubicado!
Estuve con mi esposo por dos noches en septiembre El apartamento está en la parte vieja, a una cuadra del hotel Maria Cristina (el más lujoso de San Sebastián) Cuenta con tres estancias separadas: sala con tv, cocina/comedor y dormitorio Además de baño separado Cada ambiente tiene su propio balcón y vista a la desembocadura del río El lugar es muy tranquilo
Importante no puedes aparcar en la calle Es solo para los propietarios y hay un espacio donde puedes aparcar Max 15 min Gracias a mi amigo Aitor por informarnos sobre esto En todo momento habían policías colocando multas o remolcando autos Sin embargo cerca hay un parking de paga
La ubicación es excelente cerquitita de playas y área de restaurantes y bares además de ser la parte más linda de san Sebastián.
María José siempre está disponible No le molestamos por tener un amigo local pero ella vive a la par y se ofreció a ayudarnos en lo necesario .

The apartment was very nice, clean and spacious. It has everything you need - washing machine, dishwasher, etc. The location of the apartment was a plus. We were closed to the water, restaurants, shops and market. The owners were super friendly! We loved San Sebastián!!!
