Thank you so much Angelica for your kindness and looking after us during this short holiday. I can strongly recommend this host and the apartment. Angelica was great in staying in touch, responded to all my questions promptly and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable and stress free, just like you would want during holiday.
The apartment is really charming, very rustic in design and quite instagramable ;). It was very clean and fully functional, well furnished and equipped in everything you may need. The only minus is location - about 9 km from Alghero and there is not much around other than one shop and one restaurant so you do need a car if you want to move about. The beach is about 200 m away, very nice and empty, with nice shallow entrance to the sea - will be suitable for children and elderly.
Strongly recommend!

Magnifico
Hemos pasado una semana en el alojamiento de Angélica y Franco. Ha sido una semana estupenda, la casa es muy bonita y acogedora. Nos atendió Franco a la llegada, es un señor muy simpático y acogedor, nos recibió con un detallito ( un vino de la zona).
La zona de Alghero es preciosa, unas playas espectaculares; sobre todo las calas donde se respira un gran ambiente de paz y tranquilidad.
Ha sido un gran viaje en familia, estoy segura que volveremos, una semana se nos ha hecho corto...
Muchas gracias por todo Angélica y Franco.

Sehr nette Gastgeber und ein Haus in schöner Lage / the hosts are very friendly and the location is great!
Wir waren 2 Wochen im Juni mit 2 Erwachsenen und 5 Kindern (von 2 - 16 Jahren) in dem geräumigen Ferienhaus in Maristella. Das Haus ist sehr nett und praktisch eingerichtet. Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine sind vorhanden und gegen eine geringe Gebühr ist auch eine Klimaanlage buchbar (in 2 Schlafräumen und im Wohnbereich). Wenn man die Rolläden geschlossen hält, und nur Abends und Nachts lüftet, ist die Klimaanlage aber nicht unbedingt notwendig. Das Ferienhaus ist ca. 5 Gehminuten von dem Sandstrand in Maristella entfernt und liegt in einer Reihenhaussiedlung etwa 20 Autominuten von der Altstadt in Alghero entfernt. In der Siedlung wohnen viele Einheimische, aber einige Häuser sind an Touristen vermietet.
Im weiteren Umkreis (mit dem Auto 5-10 Minuten Fahrt) gibt es viele weitere Strände, darunter auch echt schöne kleine Buchten, die selbst in der Hauptsaison nicht zu voll waren. Das Wasser dort ist herrlich. Die Strände zumeist mit feinerem Sand. Teilweise sind im Wasser Steine und kleine Felsen, die viele Fische beherbergen. Beim Schnorcheln sieht man Seesterne, Fische und alles. Einfach schön!
Angelica und Franco sind sehr gastfreundlich! Bei "Problemen" (die es nicht wirklich gab) ist Franco sofort mit Werkzeug zu Stelle und hilft. Beide sind sehr kinderlieb und sehr nett zu unseren Kindern gewesen. Einmal wurden wir sogar Abends eingeladen zu einem Apperitiv! Das war wirklich klasse und ein schöner Abend. Zur Begrüßung erwartete uns ein Teller mit einem kleinen Imbiß mit lokalen Spezialitäten und zum Abschied bekamen wir noch leckere Süßigkeiten mit Marzipan aus Alghero geschenkt.
Beide sprechen Englisch, so dass wir uns gut verständigen konnten.
Es war insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt!

Very nice and friendly people - but poor standard
Angelica and her husbond were very nice and friendly to us, but unfortunately this house didn't live up to our expectations at all. It looks nice and clean on the pictures in here, but on arrival we were not impressed by neither the general condition of the house, the cleaning standard of the house or the kitchen equipment (there were hardly enough equipment for 6 people and the pots and pans were in a poor condition). The garden wasn't prepared for us after winter and there were so many wild cats living there, that we didn't use the garden at all. The electricity in the house only works if you use on machine at the time.

It is not clear the assesment criteria of level of the house for Layla, if a guest needs more than ten pots and pans in a holiday house.
The house is well equipped of dish washer, washing machine, oven and hair dryer, and it is in a wonderful place close to the beach , m 200 from the sea, but the problem was: Layla used machines simoultaneusly and in the house there were 5 black out..Every time we went to swich on the electricity meter
We don't have cats and the garden was wet becouse the rain and the thunderstorms before their arriving and during Layla's holiday..
Layla and her family are not very friendly and not sociable. They damaged the shower and an original carpet (kilim) from Maghreb, very espensive, left outside of the door for 11 days.. under rain..It had been just sanitized..Layla and her family didn't respect house rules,they don't deserve to be guest in other's houses, they left trash in the house..
After their departure I was obliged to refuse a booking , to repair the damages..
I don' t recommend to host this customer.

Lovely place
Nice terraced house near Alghero. It is located near a beautiful park, a restaurant and a small shop. The owners were very friendly, helpful and caring. I do recommend this place.

Schönes Ferienhaus
Das Ferienhaus liegt in einer kleinen Reihenhaussiedlung in Maristella, einem winzigen Ort etwa 11km von Alghero entfernt.
Wir zogen mit sieben Personen ( 3 Kindern im Alter zwischen 5 und 15, zwei Senioren und zwei Mittdreisigern) ein. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Jeder von uns fand darin ein Plätzchen für sich und da es über zwei Bäder verfügt konnten wir uns gut aufteilen. Wir fühlten uns während unseres Urlaubs wie zu Hause. Das Vermieter-Ehepaar war auch sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Sie brachten uns drei Flaschen von ihrem leckeren, hausgemachten Wein, eine kleine Flasche Mirto und waren dann auch noch so nett uns 5 Liter Olivenöl zu besorgen und vorbeizubringen.
In der Nähe gibt es sehr schöne Strände die man ganz einfach mit dem Beachbus erreichen kann, oder man spaziert ca. 200m an den kleinen Strand von Maristella. Dort ist das Wasser zwar nicht so wunderschön türkis-blau wie z.B. am Lazaretto, dafür aber viel wärmer da er in einer Bucht liegt.
Alghero ist ganz einfach mit dem Bus zu erreichen, doch ist ein Auto empfehlenswert wenn man größere Einkäufe zu erledigen hat oder sich einfach mal die Landschaft ansehen möchte.
Alles in Allem war es ein schöner Urlaub in einer wundervollen Umgebung und einem gemütlichen Heim auf Zeit.

Très agréable maison
Maison jumelé très bien située dans une rue très calme, petit magasin a quelques minutes à pied, pas loin (5-10 minutes) de très jolies plages en voiture. A 10 min en voiture d'Alghero. La situation de la maison est idéale pour visiter tout le nord ouest de la Sardaigne. La maison est très bien décorée et spacieuse. A noter que la cuisine est équipé d'un lave vaisselle, ce qui est certainement un plus quand on est en vacances. Les propriétaires sont très gentils, sympathiques et accueillants, ils étaient toujours disponibles et nous demandaient régulièrement comment notre séjour se passait. Ils étaient de bons conseils. La décoration de cette maison est très personnelle et on s'y sent comme chez soi!

Enjoyable stay
Nice experience in a perfectly located holiday house. Many beautiful beaches within 5min driving distance. The owners are very friendly and amenable: on our demand they provided a crib and a high chair for our one-year old daughter, they even help us to unfold the crib late in the evening as we experienced difficulties... The house is comfortable and nicely furnished. Only hitch is the overall cleanliness which can be improved... If improved then it would become a real gem!

Beautiful Place
Felt like I was stayng with family..It was a fine holyday in Maristella, a fine experience, a beautiful place to stay, close to the sea, close to the best beaches, not far fom the town..The house well equipped, nice the small garden with BBQ, we enjoied of the smell of the sea.. A perfect crosspoint for excursions and sports in the Coral Coast.

Hidden gem
My family (wife and four children ages 8-17) spent six nights at this rental. We had a great experience. Let me tell you what was great and why you should stay here and then a couple of notes about staying in Sardinia so you are ready.
First - the location was perfect...for what we wanted. We wanted a beach and quiet. This provides both. It's a 20 minute bus ride from busy Alghero and sits in a very quiet secluded area about five minutes off the beach in tiny Maristella. There is one market around the corner (which was great) and that's about it! The beach is literally five minutes away and it's a perfect beach. Not crowded, warm water, plenty to see for snorkeling and lovely sand. We shared the beach space with the Hotel Porte Conte and it's an ideal location. On Saturday and Sunday there are plenty of people, but during the week it was perfect.
We did not rent a car and instead had six bikes. We rode them to Lazarrato beach one day, which was amazing snorkeling, and the ride took 15 minutes. You can easily get to any of the beaches in the area by bike or bus or just walk to the beach around the corner which was our favorite.
Here is the best part of staying at this rental - Angelica and Franco are amazing people. They took care of us so well. Picked us up from the airport, drove us to a dinner appointment one night, took us back to the airport, brought us bruschetta one night and even had us over for a light dinner and singing and playing music. Franco is one of the nicest people ever and an amazing musician. He speaks no English and I don't speak Italian and we somehow carried on great conversations the whole trip. They are wonderful and will take outstanding care of you. They could not have been better hosts.
The apartment is two stories and very roomy. My family of six had no problem spreading out and enjoying the space. It's clean and much more like a house you are visiting.
Here are the qualifiers about Sardinia you need to be prepared for. It is not as polished as, say, the south of France or Spain. But that's wonderful to me and the beaches are better. Second, it gets very hot...and there is no air conditioning in the apartment...or most places in Sardinia. Be ready. We had some hot nights, but so did everyone living there locally.
