Excellent apartment in the Santa Croce district, an easy 5-10 minute walk to the very center of Florence. Fabio, the owner, is a fabulous guy, whom I am honored to have met. The apartment is just as pictured. It is not luxurious, but is quite comfortable, very clean, and exceptionally secure. The bed is very good, everything in the bathroom works well, and the small kitchen has all you need. There is both a supermarket and the San Ambrogio market close by. The neighborhood is bustling during the day, quiet at night. There are also incredibly good restaurants -- Senz' Altro, La Vinaina, La Cucina del Ghianda, Touch Bistro, Da Que Ganzi, and the American style breakfast café, Le Vespe -- within a few blocks. Not too mention a few good pizza places, and, at the end of the block, reputedly the best bakery in Florence. What more could you want?
My wife and I are very happy to highly recommend Santacroce 52.
