Wonderful countryside location near many of the Golden Circle sites and Secret Lagoon. Well-equipped, perfectly maintained, and offers 180* views over the valley from the living room, outdoor deck, and the hot tub.
The owner provided helpful, detailed information before our rental and was almost instantly responsive to queries while we were there.
If you want to do more than take bus tours from Reykjavik, I can't recommend this place enough!

Thank you for such a lovely stay! Our memories from this trip include day trips to see Geysir and Gullfloss, and a drive to the Westman Islands. Make sure you try the ice cream at the lovely Efstidalur farm. We ended each day with the stunning views from the hot tub! Solfaxi was so comfortable and had everything we needed - and cooking in the kitchen was a real pleasure. We would love to return one day!

Our second trip to Iceland. This time we had our 3 young boys as well as my wife's parents. Home had more than ample room for all. Sunsets were amazing and boys really enjoyed the hot tub. Location is close to golden circle attractions and also within range of the south coast. Nicely secluded on a ridge, very tranquil. This is a cozy home and not just a house!

This house is stunning. The architecture is beautiful and very functional. What a kitchen! There is a geothermal hot tub. My family loved it. The best feature is how the house maximizes the location and view. Three sides of the house are glass and if we could have seen the northern lights(sadly overcast) it would have been a spectacular place to enjoy them. Thank you for having us we felt so blessed and wish your family all the best.

Our family of six adults very much enjoyed our stay at Solfaxi. The location was perfect for Iceland exploration and the house was very comfortable after long days out and about. The house was lacking nothing and the hot tub with amazing views made it extra special. Highly recommend.

Beautiful building in remote but centrally located spot. Dark enough to catch the Aurora on one clear night. Recommended for those who want to be close to the back country and the natural landscape, but within reasonable distance to necessities.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this home and would highly recommend it. It was spacious, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The host was responsive and helpful with questions we had prior to arrival. The highlight of our trip was being able to watch the northern lights on the deck. The home also has a spectacular panoramic view during the day. The location was great for day trips to spots along the southern coast and around the Golden Circle.

First off, the communication with the property man...
First off, the communication with the property managers was PHENOMENAL!!! Most questions were answered within minutes - amazing job!
Our trip to Iceland was due to a friend getting married in this wonderful country. This home was HUGE and very easy to get to with a rental car.
The views were awesome and we had 3 nights of northern lights viewable from the deck of the house!! It is within 1-2 hours of Reykjavik and Vik, so most of the southern waterfalls, craters, glaciers, and cities were vwry accessible!! The house was comfortable, clean, and the kitchen well stocked with equipment, utensils, and spices!
1000% recommend this amazing country and this stay!!!
