We had an excellent stay at the Farmhouse. Upon our arrival we were given very helpful advice regarding the best sights to see in Gozo- this was additionally compiled into a fantastic book for guests of the farmhouse. We felt we had more than enough space for the five of us, the beds were great, the kitchen was a good size and the addition of a pool was wonderful as it could get very hot! Local shops (such as the grocery store) were easy to find and were only a very short walk away (15 mins max.). We simply couldn't recommend the farmhouse any more. Perhaps one thing people may struggle with is the air conditioning system as it is quite expensive to operate however we found the fans in each room more than sufficient and never actually turned the AC on as we felt it wasn't necessary!

The house was really lovely - spacious and newly renovated. It was very stylish and comfortable with all the amenities you could need (though pool towels would have been a great addition as we didn't want to use the indoor towels round the pool). The host was very friendly and helpful and provided a welcome basket which was really welcome and so kind. Overall we thought it was great and really enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the pool and the beds were comfy. The wifi worked well and the water pressure was good for the showers. Just a few little cons: Firstly, the house is quite far from the centre of the village so its a bit of a long (and confusing) walk to the centre for the shops. The host has helpfully provided maps though so I can't fault them for that. Secondly, we found it very hard to keep the flies out of the house yet let some air in as there are no fly screens on the windows or bead curtains on the pool doors. So we either had to sit inside with the doors and windows closed or accept that there would be flies buzzing around all the time. The big down side was that the air conditioning was extremely expensive. It has to be paid for by putting coins into the meter and costs 2 Euros for 25 minutes. It made it prohibitively expensive to run the a/c at night (just to do some simple maths, If we were to have put the a/c on when the kids went to bed at 8pm it would have cost us around 60 Euros a night to keep the cool air running until morning!). Thankfully the house stayed reasonably cool (if a little dark) if we kept all the shutters closed all day, and we managed with a quick blast of the a/c before bed and then had fans on when we were sleeping. It all seemed very strangely set up as 2 Euros didn't seem to have any bearing on how much energy you use, it just gives you 25 minutes. So you could have all three rooms running on full blast at 16 degrees or just one room running on low at 25 degrees and it still costs the same.
