Well appointed, comfortable apartment right in the heart of Kirkwall with the added benefit if it’s own parking spot. Sammy went above and beyond in assisting us with a ferry drama. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Really enjoyed our stay - both in Orkney as well as at Broad Street Gardens. Lovely views across Kirkwall, and the central location was excellent. Literally a 5 minute walk away to nearby Tesco/Lidl as well as the high street which has some excellent little shops, butchers, nice pubs, etc. The apartment was well equipped and neat and tidy. The heating takes (in our experience) a day to adjust, so I'd suggest setting the thermostats to your preferred temperature as soon as you arrive. Bring your own sharp knife or a knife sharpener as the kitcken knives are rubbish (although I've yet to stay in a rental property that had good knives!!). Otherwise, would highly recommend.

Very clean and comfortable! The flat has nice big windows with a great view. We enjoyed our stay in the heart of Kirkwall. Parking is possible directly at the house. Everything perfect! We will try to come again 😊

We had a fantastic stay here. The space was comfortable, there was lots of room, the bathroom modern with an excellent shower-bath. The little kitchen was a good size and had all necessary amenities. The wifi was good, and once you figure out the washer/drier unit it worked well. It is close to the center of Kirkwall, and is an easy walk to all locations that we needed in town. There is a cab business across the street and the bus station down the road for the locations that we needed to travel elsewhere. I would recommend this flat to anyone desiring to stay in Kirkwall.

Pete and I have just returned to Cornwall after a wonderful week in the Orkneys. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment. It's spacious and light, very well equipped and comfortable. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed, right down to a hairdryer. Of course being a penthouse meant it's at the top of the building so stairs mustn't be a problem for you. But if that's the case I would most definitely recommend a stay here. We loved being a minute from the centre on foot. The apartment is a few minutes from the port, a couple of minutes from the cathedral (a must-see), and a reasonable walk from either of the distilleries (very helpful!). One evening we heard bagpipes from the window, and whizzed out to find Kirkwall Pipe Band playing in front of the cathedral. We ate at The Bothy (a small pub with great food and beer) and would also recommend Kirkwall Hotel for a well-run restaurant with wonderful staff and food - we needed to book. And also being in Kirkwall itself meant that we could easily reach either end of the island in about half-an-hour in the car! One final recommendation: boat tours by Laurence on the Dawn Star. He has a wealth of knowledge about the wartime history off Scapa Flow and the wildlife around there. You could not meet a more gentle, and kind, man. Although to be fair, we were blown away with the warmth of the welcome we got all over the islands!
