This is a gem of a cottage set in peaceful surroundings near Dereham. We visited the North Norfolk coast and Blicking and Norwich is easily reached. Exploring the country lanes was part of the holiday. The owners make you feel very welcome with an attention to your needs. The cottage had all we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Home made cake welcomed us and there is an attractive garden to help you relax.

Quiet comfortable cottage
Perfect cottage for 2 wanting a quiet holiday. Rural farm location but only 10 minutes to market town of Dereham, and Norwich within easy reach too. Friendly and helpful owners, we were welcomed with a delicious lemon cake. Would definitely recommend to others.

Fantastic
We have just arrived home from a wonderful 3 night stay in the cottage. Everything you could wish for and more. Lovely quite location, cottage had loads of hot water for a nice soak after a day walking. Log burner that is incredible, we were toasting ourselves in front of it. I am a large chap and the bed was so comfortable that we didn’t get up until 9.30 most days. Kitchen very well equipped with everything you could want. Lovely bathroom ( looked as if it had just been fitted) all in all a lovely peaceful long weekend away. Ooh and if you want to watch a dvd whilst toasting away in the lounge there are plenty to choose from, just message Midge and like magic there it is on your doorstep.
Thank you for a lovely stay, owners around if you needed anything ( we didn’t ) other than a dvd but left in peace.
Wishing you all the best and looking forward to visiting again if and when we travel to Norfolk

Honeysuckle Cottage, Dereham
We had a lovely time in Norfolk and our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage was a key part of our trip.
The welcome was very warm and although we had no issues Midge was readily available to solve any issues. We had a homemade cake waiting for us as well as tea, coffee, milk and sugar.
The cottage is ideal for a couple, very warm and cosy as well as being spotlessly clean. It was also wonderfully peaceful.
If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend away you could do a lot worse than staying here.

Perfect Norfolk Cottage with everything you need !
We have just spent a very enjoyable few days in Shipdham at Honeysuckle cottage. The cottage is a very high standard with everything you could possibly need and then a few extras !! The owners live nearby and are on hand if you need them. I would highly recommend the property and we will certainly be back. Thank you for a most enjoyable break.

Peaceful location with everything you need.
It was a working break again, my wife and I had stayed here before and returned because of the peace and quiet, and also its location. The cottage is very clean and has all you need for your break. We will be returning I'm sure!

Just perfect
Midge is a wonderful host who made us feel incredibly welcome. The cottage is a great place with everything we needed, plus a lovely cake on arrival. I will definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

The ideal place to explore Norfolk
It's a beautiful cottage with a very well-equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, cosy living room and comfy bedroom. We stay for one week and have been greeted with a homecake (a delicious lemon cake); if you love cats you may be welcome by Poppy as well, who is nice and discreet as much as her owners, Midge and Mick.
The cottage is super quite (you are in open countryside), yet well located: the nearest proper centre, Deraham, is only 4 miles away and Norwich is a stone's throw away (approx 25mins to Thickthorn Park and Ride); you can reach the coastline (both north and east sides) in 1h-1h and a half. Lots of beautiful walks in the area (Midge and Mick collected many information in the house book) and many others (including loads of nature reserves) can be easily reached.
If you've been told Norfolk's landscape can be very flat (read: boring), don't believe it:
dunes near Winterton and Holme and the broads (e.g. the Cley Marshes) are remarkable pieces of nature.
We loved stay there. Thank you, Midge and Mick.

Honeysuckle Cottage
This quaint cottage was perfect for our needs. We felt very comfortable and really enjoyed the rural location. The lemon cake was a delight and much appreciated by my wife who could not stop herself eating it. I highly recommend Honeysuckle Cottage.
