Contact with the property owner was excellent and check-in/out was very easy. The location of the property is fabulous for exploring the local area and being in the heart of Weymouth itself but in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Sadly, for our group of 7 adults, the property was overall disappointing. It is generally rather tired, in need of TLC and smelled rather stale. More importantly though, it is in real need of a thorough deep clean throughout. The towels and bed linen were all past their best and the upstairs bathrooms are tiny. We self-cater regularly, individually and as a group, and all agreed this property (location aside) was overall disappointing.

Stayed at the Ocean House with a group of friends for 3 nights in September. The house was very clean and had all the facilities we could wish for, including 4 showers, a bath and 5 toilets ! It is only a 10/15 minute flat walk from the train station and central to all the restaurants and shops in Weymouth. It could be a little noisy at night, but that was only to be expected being in the town centre. We caught the train so didn't have to worry about parking but the owner did supply 2 x parking permits if required. This was perfect for a group of 8, good value for money, and I would highly recommend.

The house itself is well equipped and a perfect proximity to the beach. We enjoyed the various walks, pubs and restaurants that Weymouth has to offer. The only problem is trying to park in the busy streets. While the house does have a parking permit for the street, it is of no use if there is no space. There are car parks, with the most local having a 3 hour limit, or some further afield. Despite the parking we had a lovely holiday.

My friends and I spent 4 night here and had an absolutely amazing time thanks to the accommodating home of Ocean House. It’s prime location, halfway between the harbour and beach, meant it was an easy walk to go crabbing, get churros or eat at some beach front cafes. Recommended for a large group there is plenty of space and a well equipped house with good social living areas. Also there is space to have down time with TVs in almost every room and a good porch area to sit in the sun outside. It made such a difference to have a comfortable and beautiful place to stay just off the high street and nearby cocktail bars and pubs. Good for all ages as there’s all sorts to do no matter what you enjoy. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you on behalf of us all

Well equipped and perfect location in the heart of Weymouth on a residential street with permit parking directly outside (permit provided by the owner, Louise). Louise communicated promptly during the booking process. I would certainly recommend Ocean House.

House was situated close to sea front, shops and harbour. Unfortunately it was also easily accessible by the nightly drunks who wondered up and down at all times of the night. House itself was clean and had all the functional gadgets you would expect from a family house Weymouth people are friendly and polite and I expect the negative vibes we had was from the holidaymakers "enjoying themselves" In all I suppose you cannot attribute any blame to the house from the few idiots but, unfortunately if you are after a restful sleep close all the windows tight and put the covers over your head. We left at 5am to avoid traffic home and were met by the crowds coming out onto the street from the club on the see front, many the worse for wear. Oh and the bloke opposite is a racist, so curtailed our chat with him.

The house is so close to everything. The grandchildren needed the beach which is just a few minutes away.The older ones wanted the shops which were minutes away.We ate at the Golden Lion pub a couple of times, ideal for our extended family. We also used the Fish and chip restaurant/takeaway at the end of the road, very nice.The house itself was beautiful. It contained everything we could possibly need.The teenagers appreciated the wi-fi etc, I loved the kitchen with it's well stocked cupboards of crockery & pans and everybody appreciated the abundance of shower rooms and toilets.The whole house was spotlessly clean. We have booked for next year.

Lovely house has every thing you need.location is ideal for beach,shops and harbour. Will book again for next year.

This was my 2nd stay in Ocean House, and I still stand by my 1st review of this house... it's so homely and comfortable. It's been a full year sincel I was last there and it's obviously been well maintained & cared for as it hadn't changed at all, it's very clean/tidy and decor hadn't changed. Stayed in the main bedroom with en-suite this time and it was just as comfortable & cosy as the twin room I stayed in last time.. I loved the little table and 2 chairs in the bay window as well as the little dressing area, and the USB ports in the plug sockets are very handy! There were 9 of us (all females) staying and there was ample room for us to sit in the lounge, sit round the table, sleep, plus shower, as we were all trying to get ready at the same time to go out. 1 of our group cooked us a full Sunday roast on the fantastic range cooker and there was every pot & pan she needed plus untensils, serving dishes etc.. it was more than well equipped, better than anywhere else I've stayed. Ocean House is perfectly situated in Weymouth, 2 streets up, you're at the beach, 2 streets down and you're by the harbour.. the pubs and restaurants are all 2 minutes from the house, also there's a fish & chip shop on the corner of the street. As I said it was my 2nd stay and I'll definitely stay there again!!!

Beautifully decorated & very homely with every detail catered for, even the kitchen is totally kitted out if you'd rather stay in & cook. Perfect situation for beach, harbour, shops and pubs as they are all no more than 5mins walk away! Would recommend to anyone, will definitely go back myself!
