Casa Alea is a beautiful apartment with the best views of the Mediterranean on the Amalfi Coast. Its large immaculately clean and very well appointed. The location is perfect for where ever you want to go in Campania or to visit Capri for the day. There are restaurants and grocery stores all within easy walking distance. The bus stop is at the bottom of the stairs and ATM is a 2 minute walk. Owner Lucia is the most gracious host always there if you need anything. She makes your stay easy and stress free as well as making you feel like family .

Most amazing views of the Sea
Casa Alea is a beautiful place to stay in Praiano. The house is immaculate and is very well appointed. Location is perfect for anything you would to do on the Amalfi Coast. The terrace is spectacular with views of the sea everywhere you turn. The sunrises are inspiring. The owner Lucia is truly a special person and makes you feel like family. She goes out of her to make sure everything is perfect so you can enjoy your vacation with no worries. We can not wait to return to this little piece of paradise.

Outstanding views and an outstanding host
Wow, I could not imagine a more picturesque place to stay in the Almafi cost region. The apartment is perfect for a couple or small family. The best part is the enormous balcony which overs looks the cost line and part of the small town of Praiano. I’m guessing there is about as much square footage on the balcony as there is inside the home, which is perfect because you really don’t need to spend any time inside! The interior is also nice. Kitchen is ample and the home is clean. The host, Lucia, is incredibly helpful! We felt she genuinely wanted to make our stay perfect. She speaks English well and is a good communicator. She provided helpful tips about the area and was available anytime we needed! We would highly recommend staying here or even at one of Lucia’s other properties in the area. It should be noted that this condo requires climbing a significant amount of steps to get to the unit, but it is totally worth it for the views. If you have not traveled to the area, you should expect a significant amount of step climbing for just about anywhere you visit in this region of Italy. There is a small restaurant called La Marossa, which is walkable in about 5-7min. (Excellent views). There is also a grocery store in walking distance and a coffee shop. To get to the main center of town of about is about a 20min. walk.

A wonderful place to stay...
We spent 6 days in Casa Aloe in July.
The agents, Summer in Italy were efficient and communication was good.
We were met by Lucia, who could not have been more friendly and helpful, she is the perfect hostess. The house is set up with much thought and there is everything you will need. It is spotless, airy, stylish. The stairs were well worth the effort for the view and property in general. The balcony is lovely. At the bottom of the stairs is a super restaurant and a well stocked shop and the bus stop. It is easy to walk to the beach.
I could not recommend it more highly, we will be back! Thank you Lucia for all your help and advice.

A great holiday experience
We spent two wonderful weeks at this stunning property. Tha view is truly beautiful and well worth the climb up the steps, which really aren't too bad. Lucia is the perfect hostess, very friendly and helpful. She really has thought of everything to make a great holiday experience. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday and hopefully we'll be back some day.

Our best holiday accommodation ever.
We stayed at Lucia’s house from 13/05/18 for one week. This was the best holiday apartment (and holiday) we have ever had in our 12 years together and here is why:
1. Lucia is the perfect host. She explains everything when we meet, no detail is missed. Once that is done she leaves you alone but is always available if required - absolutely perfect discretion.
2. The apartment is fantastic - immaculately clean, well equipped and everything works. I love to cook and the range of kitchen appliances made this perfect. The terrace on the apartment is huge and fantastic; it has loungers, barbecue, outdoor shower and a panoramic view which is frankly, breathtaking. You could quite easily just spend your vacation lounging in this lovely terrace.
3. Praiano is a small place but well equipped with good shops, restaurants and bars. The fish shop in town is particularly good as are the many mini markets which sell superbly fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs. What I really noticed was that the local people were so friendly and happily tolerated my very poor use of the Italian language. If you cook you must buy the prawns from the local fishmonger- simply fried in garlic butter they are just wow! All the fish is fresh and locally caught and a cooks delight.
4. If you like to walk then this is a perfect place to go. We walked the breathtaking path of the gods from the house to Nocelle and walked back! An utterly fantastic hike with great views and lovely flowers all the way.
5. Transport. I’d strongly advise not to take a car - the transport links by bus are excellent and basically you can go anywhere on the Amalfi coast (and beyond) from the local bus in the village.
In summary this was a fantastic holiday location with the most perfect apartment with the kindest possible host. I am quite a hard to please Scotsman but this ticked all my boxes. A perfect 10.

Perfect!
The place was spotless, quiet, had a wonderful private patio, fully stocked kitchen and Lucia was exceptionally helpful and easy to communitcate with about anything we needed! I would not hesitate to stay with her again!

Such wonderful views!
We stayed at Lucia’s flat for 6 nights in April and had just the most wonderful time. The highlight of the apartment is the view and the large space on the terrace. We had two small children with us (3 and 5) and they loved playing football on it and just running crazy. Lucia is a gracious and helpful host who makes you feel very welcome. She gave the children the football to play with as well as a barbie for our daughter. The flat is very clean and well maintained. It’s definitely up a few stairs(!) but this didn’t bother us even with the small children. The grocery store is close by and we found restaurants (great restaurants) within walking distance, so long as you don’t mind stairs. We loved the Praiano beach, which is small and pebbly but has several great restaurants right around it. The kids spent the day looking for all the best washed up, smoothed bits of pottery amoungst the pebbles on the beach. There’s also parking available in Lucia’s garage for €18 per day. All in all, we had such a wonderful time!

Fantastic Patio and Super Well Equipped With Everything!
We loved this 2 bedroom place but found the Almalfi coast to be super crazy busy and hard to get around as the buses were often full and driving was crazy for the few days we did. Lucia's apartment was really well equipped with everything we needed and the patio was huge and very much enjoyed when we got back each day! The grocery store was close and there was another just down the hill with some wonderful cheap wine! Just be prepared for many steps up to the apartment but she does have a lift for luggage.

Glorious views from a beautiful apartment.
The apartment is at the top of 130 steps and affords beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast!
Praiano is a quiet town tucked between Positano and Amalfi. Much quieter and less tourist traffic than the two more famous coastal towns.
The apartment is immaculately clean, and Lucia, the landlady, has thought of everything your could want.
Raining outside?...there are 4 umbrellas!
Want to play cards? There are cards for games.
Trying to catch an American football game? We found a Lions game on the television.
There are plenty of towels, blankets and of course a washing machine.
(The washing machine allows you the ability to pack less clothing as you can wash clothing at the apartment).
There is a local grocery store with nearly everything you would need within a 5 minute walk and it has a good selection of Italian wines at great prices.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with 8 place settings of dishes and the appropriate glassware (much more than I have at our home!) There are enough pots and pans to cook anything and the apartment has an outdoor charcoal grill.
Our host, Lucia was very prompt in all my emails with her. She was also a wealth of information on train travel, bus travel, ferry travel and we relied on her knowledge.
The bedrooms in the apartment are good size and have ample storage for an extended stay.
The living/dining room is a fine size for 2 folks and I would imagine 4 people but you will likely spend most of your time on the very large terrace overlooking Praiano and the entire coast. One of the most beautiful places we have ever been.
A note to those who are intimidated by the stairs...all towns along the coast are built into hillsides so you will find yourself going up and down for any number of reasons on a daily basis.
The apartment is very close to the Sentiero degli Dei (The Path of the Gods) which can be accessed within 10 minutes.
Lucia was always responsive and had a fresh bottle of milk in the fridge and a bottle of Limoncello in the freezer upon our arrival.
