This is a little piece of traditional Spanish heaven. The Villa is large and fully equipped with plenty of space for upto 8 people. The garden is full of fruit and olive trees with plenty of shady areas to get out of the hot sun if needed. The pool is fantastic with a large area for sun loungers with an outside kitchen and pizza oven. A true peace of heaven and tranquility with owners who pay attention to detail And are always available if you need them. Definitely worth a try Highly recommend

Hola! Somos una familia con niños; hemos pasado unos días en la casa en pleno verano con la ola de calor y la verdad que hemos estado muy agusto. Nos hemos ido con ganas de repetir! Está situada en las afueras, zona muy tranquila, con facil acceso y cerca del pueblo. El exterior de la casa es muy grande y espacioso, la piscina y el jacuzzi increíbles. Está todo muy bien equipado con hamacas, sombrillas, raquetas, juguetes… incluso tiene bicicletas. El interior de la casa también muy comfortable y el aire acondicionado ayuda a combatir el calor. Es amplia, con todos los complementos necesarios, incluso para el bebé teníamos todas las comodidades (trona, cuna, bañera…). Además es preciosa, está llena de detalles de la zona y del pasado, tiene mucha historia. Es todo igual que en las fotos. La recomendamos totalmente. Hemos salido encantados☺️

Hemos pasado una semana 2 familias en esta casa y todo ha estado genial. La casa tiene de todo y los niños han estado encantados con todas las alternativas, piscina, jacuzzi, ping-pong, billar, etc.. Los dueños super atentos y cariñosos, una casa para repetir y repetir.

From the minute we got there to the minute we left the owners were contactable nothing was too much trouble as we got a bit lost trying to find the villa but they came and found us they had put groceries and drink in the fridge for our arrival which was a nice surprise the area of Cantoria is amazing it was only me and my husband and we needed a place where we could get away and relax and that is exactly what we did the villa itself was amazing very large and had everything we needed it felt like our own little paradise. The pool was huge and we spent most of the time lounging around it and taking in the amazing scenery and sunsets you do need a car to get around we went into Albox to do the shopping and there is a local market in different towns each day where you can get all your fruit and veg very cheap. The villa is only 40mins from the beach so if you want the beach it’s not far but we were very happy to lounge by the pool. We had such an amazing holiday we didn’t want to leave so much so that we are planning to buy a villa in Cantoria and move out there The Spanish people are amazing and although we didn’t speak much Spanish we got by with a little help from I translate. I could go on and on about this villa, the host and Cantoria and i would still not do it justice all of it was just amazing we will be going back thank you again Montse and Juan hope to see you again soon xx

We've just returned from the best couple of weeks staying at this villa owned by Montse and Juan. They are the most welcoming hosts we've ever had on holiday lettings. The booking prices was simple, the price shown was what we paid and it wasn't increased after our enquiry. We flew in to Almeria Airport and from there it's around an hour and ten minutes drive to the villa. We chose to go the mountain road which was very picturesque. Our friends choose the Autovia - less picturesque but efficient. On arrival at the villa we were met by our hosts. There were some supplies for our first day, but be mindful that if you arrive on a Saturday it would be best to shop on the Saturday as the nearest Supermarket open on a Sunday is in Vera. There are the easily accessible supermarkets in the area, two in Albox (try the Dia for English type spirits - we'r found it impossible to get Captain Morgan anywhere else cheaply). The Mercadona in Albox is ok, but the one in Olula del Rio is arguably better. The villa itself is great - plenty of room for eight of us. The enclosed garden space is great, we'r could close the gates and have no worries about intruders (not that we even saw another person!) or our children getting out. There is table tennis, a table football set, boules and a pool table as well as swings. All main rooms in the villa have aircon and the outside kitchen area was great, with a massive table to sit all of us. If we wished to we could eat indoors as the table inside was huge as well. The swimming pool area is clean and well kept, the pool was faultless and the jacuzzi was a real bonus. Contact with the owners was easy and Montse's brother Domingo has English enough to help out with any issues. All in all we had a fantastic time, plenty of good food eaten, though local restaurants are a bit hit and miss. We found the hotel opposite the Mercadona in Olula del Rio (the Terra Cafe) did excellent food but didn't start serving until half past eight in the evening. The natural bath in Cela (Fuente de Cela) was a half hour's drive and there were a few good restaurants surrounding it - we visited twice and ate very well for €150 for the eight of us. We had a fantastic two weeks at the villa. Communication before arrival was excellent with Domingo kindly translating instructions into English for us. We met the owners Montse and Juan on arrival who were very welcoming - google translate and hand gestures meant we got past the language barrier - they were so accommodating, even finding an extra bed so that the children could all sleep in the same room. The villa is really clean and very well equipped. With plenty of room for 2 families of 4. We used the outdoor kitchen all the time and were particularly impressed with the gas burner which we used to cook paellas. The pool was large and deep which got the thumbs up from the children. The villa is well located in between the well stocked Lidl and Mercadona supermarkets. Other highlights included a visit to the caves at Sorbas, the beaches at Garrucha and Pulpi, Mini Hollywood and the water park at Vera. However we were actually at our happiest doing very little back at the villa. A very relaxing stay overall. We would highly recommend it. Thanks also for the welcome well stocked fridge and our beautiful leaving gift. Lovely touches.

l can only agree with all the 5 star reviews for this beautiful villa, it is everything a family could wish for to experience a memorable Spanish holiday. Montse & Juan are the perfect hosts, they stayed up late to meet us and hand over the keys as our flight arrived late on a Saturday night. They were also very kind and had bought us a few supplies as most of the shops are shut on Sundays. (There is a small English shop open Sunday mornings in Albox). All the communications we received from Domingo and Montse were perfect, we had no problems with directions and all the amenities were available for us. We have two teenage boys (17 & 15) so the games room & pool were great entertainment. A car is necessary for food shopping & visiting the area. We had days out in Mojacar & Garrucha, both about a 40 mins drive. Albox (10 min drive) has markets on Tues & Fri mornings, great traditional Tapas bars. If you fancy a taste of home, Chapmans bar does great steaks & breakfasts at reasonable prices. We would love to stay here again, it really is a most beautiful villa in a gorgeous setting. On our last day Montse & Juan came to see us off with a very unexpected gift, they are the kindest hosts we have ever met. Book up now!!!

The villa has got everything that you need. The highlight of the property is the amazing barbecue area includes a pizza oven BBQ and a fridge that comes very handy. On the day of the arrival Montse and her husband were very helpful to show us the property around, two days into the holiday they got in touch with us just to find out if we needed anything. My husband and I stayed in many different villas in Spain and this is the first time we can both say that the bed was so comfortable memory foam mattress. The property is situated in a very large plot so you have got privacy and most importantly no noise from any properties around you. 20 minutes walk to the town of Cantoria where you can enjoy lovely tapas. 15 minutes drive to the local supermarket where you can buy everything that you need. Ideally you need a car to be able to explore the lovely towns around the area.

We have just returned from 9 nights at this gorgeous villa. From enquiring to book to actually arriving- communication was swift and contact was very approachable. We met the owners on the day we arrived for a visit around the villa and to hand over keys- despite a language barrier they could not have done enough for us- so friendly and wow what a beautiful place. Very clean, well presented and the photos really do not do this villa justice- it is vast and there is just so much to do! Fully secure so travelling with young family was great as all external gates are accessed via remote control, our little girl could play outside with us comfortable she could come to no harm. The pool area is also gated and can be locked to ensure children do not access until you want them too! Location is fantastic- just 1km from the village and lit the majority of the way home. Cantoria I think has just had a ‘facelift’ as it’s beautifully presented and even the rambla was lit and accessible!! We felt very accommodated in the village and everyone was helpful and approachable- my Spanish is no where near good!! We will 100% be returning to this Villa and thank the owners and their family for their hospitality and making our holiday memorable- highly recommended

We have recently returned from 10 days in this lovely villa. The outside facilities are amazing and we loved the pétanque, table tennis and pool table etc. The massive outside kitchen and barbecue/pizza oven are a bonus too. The pool area is wonderful. The water hadn’t warmed up enough to go in the pool or jacuzzi but its a wonderful area to just relax in, overlooking the village and mountains. The vine covered terrace (one of many seating areas) is idyllic. The villa itself is very clean and comfortable and full of antiques. We know some people said there is not enough food storage but we just used the large dresser by the kitchen. The beds are super comfortable and we loved our stay here. Cantoría is just a short walk away and is such a lovely peaceful town with a few bars, a couple of small supermarkets and tapas places and it has a great atmosphere. There is also an amazing new Mercadona supermarket 10 minutes drive away (Olula Del Rio) which is one of the best we have ever been to and so well stocked with a lovely bakery and fish counter etc. If you can tear yourself away from the villa there are some lovely local villages and the coast and the mountain monastery are only 40 minutes away and we loved visiting those. Montse and Juan are really lovely people and are so helpful (as is Domingo in translating and sending information) and they really do everything to help you have a great time. A wonderful relaxing place to stay with super facilities. There were only two of us so we had lots of room, but the villa layout would easily allow 8 people to comfortably enjoy all the space indoors and outside too.
