Short stay weekend and it was amazing, we had a wonderful wooden cabin with hot tub and sauna, it suited us just fine. The cabin was clean and had all essentials required, waking up to the sounds of birds and watching the bats of an evening was incredible. You can tell we are from the City, it was just so nice to hear the animals and nature itself. I will definitely be booking again soon, my husband was so impressed and trust me it takes alot to impress him. Thank you to Rita, as her communication from beginning to end was on point and it was great being in the countryside with the amenities being 10mins away but you definitely wouldn’t have known. Thank you so much for sending us all home so relaxed and we will see you again soon.

This was our second trip to the lodges & once again it was PERFECT in every way. This will definitely be our yearly UK getaway location, I even got cuddles with the friendly farm cat this time!❤️

Haven't got a bad word to say about this place. We stayed in Skylark Mon-Fri and found it the perfect base for the week. So many lovely things to do and see in the immediate area with Roseberry Topping on the doorstep if you fancy an adventure, Staithe's and Robin Hood's Bay down the road if you fancied a trip to the seaside and so much history nestled in the North Yorkshire Moors. The accommodation itself was spotless, plenty of towels available, the milk in the fridge and chocolate biscuits were a lovely touch. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils if you're looking to self cater for your stay. The hot tub was definitely worth the extra money on top of the stay, and having the sauna built in to the lodge was incredible. Enjoyed meeting Lorenzo the cat and had more than one breakfast on the veranda with him looking after us. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay - exactly what we wanted :)

Stayed in skylark friday to sunday. The lodge is huge and all wooden, which is lovely. It is all open plan with everything you should need and plenty of towels. The sauna is an added bonus and the hot tub is amazing, well worth paying the extra £80. The views are just lovely. We had such a relaxing stay. There are some good walks around the lodge, including roseberry topping. We chose not to wander quite as far as the hot tub was too tempting. Rita and mike are happy to help should you have any problems. I would just say that the sofa really needs replacing as we found this quite old and worn. Also a check on the cleaning, as we found lots of hair and what looked like a dog bone under the sofa. The beds were all comfortable, with good quality sheets. We have already booked back up to stay again next year. Thank you Rita and mike for a lovely stay.

Myself and my two sisters stayed in Lapwing lodge here between 30/8/2021 and 3/09/2021 The lodge itself is huge! There are two bedrooms one downstairs that sleeps three (a double bed and single bed) and one upstairs with a king size double bed. With plenty storage in both. The upstairs bathroom has an en-suite with toilet and shower and the most amazing view! The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed - apart from a pair of scissors, and the mop wasn’t very good if I’m going to be totally honest! The sauna and hot tub were just heavenly, and we loved being able to sit outside on the veranda and be sheltered from the rain The living room had two lovely big sofas the dining room had a table for 6 and a comfortable chair and the kitchen had a dishwasher all the cutlery and dishes you could need, toaster, kettle, bin and of course fridge - oh and even a sewing kit! The view from the lodge of roseberry topping was beautiful! We had planned to climb it but couldn’t drag ourselves away from the hot tub and sauna! We had an Asda delivery for food on our first night and two take aways which was something we thought might not be possible with it being a remote location. We were visited by a very friendly cat on our first night who really tried to convince us to let it inside - luckily we had already read the welcome pack and been warned they would do that! The host Rita was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much we arrived an hour early and luckily were able to check in and then we were idiots who couldn’t work the sauna and she came straight away to point to the two buttons she clearly explained in the instructions ha! Without being at all frustrated with us so thank you! If we had to give some constructive criticism it would have to be that the WiFi was very limited. We are already planning to go back and can’t recommend the place enough! It was so peaceful and relaxing and everything we wanted

Booked for a stay in January, but due to covid, it was cancelled. Rita paid my deposit straight back to me, for that reason I booked again and vidutddend of April. Lodges easy to find, signposted. Upon arrival found ours, outside they look great. Going inside, they are huge and very spacious. Very clean, everything provided, cutlery, plates, bedding, towels etc. And a small welcome pack of milk, coffee and cookies Hottub was nice and relaxing with a beautiful country view of Roseberry Topping, and the sauna was a bonus, thats the reason I booked Blackthorn Gate. WiFi wasn't upto much, but not a problem, might be to some people. Some nice walks and local pubs and towns to visit , definitely climb Roseberry Topping and visit Lord stones Park. Overall a great relaxing 4 nights away, would definitely recommend and would stay again, even though we live 20 minutes away.

This is our second stay here and I hope we can come back again. It's the prefect place to chill and switch off. Everything is thought of and the is not much you need to bring other than food, books and walking boots! Very clean, comfortable and peaceful. It's worth paying for the hottub as the view is sublime. It's also great to have the sauna. Lots of do nearby, too. Much thanks to Rita for instructions sent pre visit for Covid. The place was cleaned and 'fogged' before we arrived. We will be back again !

The most beautiful stay with friends. The lodge had plenty of space, fabulous facilities including a large hot tub and beautiful views. Lots of nice walks and local restaurants near by. The hosts were very helpful prior to arrival. I would highly recommend a stay here, could have stayed a whole week. Thank you

I can’t fault the lodge we stayed in, we came for 40th birthday celebrations, views are amazing! However the owner Mike needs a course in customer services, his vile attitude towards us throughout the stay was upsetting! We were treat like we were thick and that we shouldn’t be there which included being swore at! My parents were upset over it and angry which spoilt my birthday a little !

On our arrival we were amazed to see that the view from Curlew Lodge was really as the picture looked, with the most amazing unobstructed view of Roseberry Topping. The information in the lodge was detailed about the location and various places to visit. The accommodation itself had everything you could possibly need and an excellent kitchen. As there were 3 of us it was great that we had 2 bathrooms which you do not normally get for up to 4 people. The owners Rita and Mike dealt with our booking very efficiently and were really friendly and helpful before and during our stay. We stayed during lambing season so had the pleasure of tiny lambs bouncing about around the surrounding fields. The wifi was a bit hit and miss but that is to be expected in remote locations. I would strongly recommend others to stay here and fully intend to stay there again if and when we get the opportunity to do so. Thanks again for a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing and beautiful place to stay.
