Just back from Palmtree cottage and a stay in Moville. Beautifully decorated house, beds very comfortable and house itself is a home away from home. Hugh is a pleasure to deal with. House had everything we needed and perfect for my wee family. Some lovely touches in the children's room. Even managed to see the Northern lights on our first night #magical. Moville itself is perfectly located to explore the Inishowen peninsula. Trips to Ballyliffen, Malin head, Doagh famine village, Wild Ireland and amazing blue flag beaches but to name a few, all well worth a visit..Moville village has everything you need and Palmtree cottage is just a short walk away. Ate in The Cosy kitchen & Rosatos , both lovely and a trip to the boathouse near redcastle was amazing. Overall a perfect holiday in a perfect house. Will definitely be back.

Love my stay and can’t wait to go back there again next year
I stayed in Palmtree in August with my 8 year old daughter. The cottage is at the edge of the village and a few minutes from the beautiful shore walk. There is no need for a car as the supermarket, pubs and restaurants are a 5 minutes walk from the cottage. We had dinner in the Cosy Cottage and I can especially recommend Rosato’s. We walked along the Wild Atlantic Way from Moville straight through to Greencastle, a small fishing village with lovely chippie and pub. Palmtree cottage is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable with one of the best mattresses I have slept on! The living room has a large Smart TV, there’s mobile Wi-Fi and even an Amazon Alexa for radio and news. There are two lovely seating areas front and back that catch the sun at different times and heavy gates that close so would be secure for small children. Loved my stay and can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic weekend in Moville
We loved our stay at the cottage, couldn't beat the location of the house a short walk to town snd beach. Other bigger sandier beaches only a short 5-10mins drive away.
The house is great, really nice decor inside with extremely comfortable beds! Just loved that you provided towels and beach towels. Got great use of of the back gardens thanks to stunning weather. We will defo come bck to the cottage, loved the wifi and large TV it had everything we needed! Thanks for a great weekend 😁

Palmtree Cottage
The house was clean and tidy and close to Moville which has many restaurants. The scenery in Inishowen is beautiful and we will be returning again.

Amazing spot as always
This is our third stay at palmtree and first with anyone except family. Lovely home with everything you will need and plenty of space. Perfect for our small family with town a less than 5min walk even walking with a 1 and a half year old. Will be staying again in the future.

Beautifully renovated wee house.
I booked the cottage last minute in order to visit family nearby with my parents. Upon arrival we found out the heating needed sorted but Siobhan and Hugh were already on the way to make sure all was well and driving through storm Ophelia to do so!
They could not have been more helpful and they have made a beautiful job of the house. The decor is tasteful, beds comfortable and personal touches like chocolates on arrival show the attention to detail. The central location is great too. We hope to be back and would recommend the house heartily to visitors to Moville and around. Only thing missing was a cafetiere!

fantastic location
Really close to village centre and lovely coffee shops and pubs.House spotless and fantastic for families. Private parking and open fire. Internet a bit slow but worked fine.

Excellent house, excellent location
We stayed in palmtree cottage for a week, 2 ad 3 kids. It's a really lovely house, much the nicest we've ever rented. Really clean and very well equipped, and a lovely touch was the prosecco and milk tray that awaited us! Moville is beautiful, especially the shore walk. The house is easy walking distance from the village , which is small but we enjoa couple of nice evenings out in Rosatos bar and restaurant. Biddys fast food does lovely chipper food and big portions but I didn't like their pizzas, rosatos for the pizza!
Moville is a good location to visit the north,we took the ferry from nearby Greencastle across to go to the giants causeway, the crossing costs €16 return for a car. We took the bus to Derry from moville, cost €34 for all of us return and was really handy . It's only about half an hour to Derry and we really enjoyed Derry especially the Walls walking tour which I shall review later. Overall, I really recommend Palmtree as a location and as a great value rental!

Holiday in Moville
First time in Moville and we stayed at Palmtree cottage which was in an ideal location a few minutes walk from the lovely shore walk , harbour , swing park and local shops. We had a lovely week. The cottage was spacious and we really enjoyed the outdoor space. Hope to return again one day . Thanks to the thoughtful owner who left us wine and chocolates on our arrival which was a lovely surprise.
