Abbiamo prenotato questa villa come regalo per il nostro 50° compleanno e per il 50° anniversario di matrimonio dei miei genitori e la pausa era davvero necessaria per tutti. Abbiamo portato anche mio figlio di 12 anni e il suo amico e l'attrattiva della piscina riscaldata è stata la decisione finale per questa villa.
Dopo aver scambiato delle e-mail con il proprietario per verificare specificamente la piscina (eravamo già stati colpiti in passato da piscine riscaldate che poi si sono rivelate glaciali). Tutte le comunicazioni sono state positive e non è stato fatto alcun riferimento al fatto che mentre l'acqua della piscina era riscaldata, la piscina era in realtà danneggiata.
Siamo arrivati poco prima delle 21:00 e abbiamo dovuto passare per l'ufficio dell'agente immobiliare. Anche in questo caso, molto datato e ha solo aggiunto ulteriore tempo a una giornata già lunga. Quando siamo arrivati alla villa ci è stato fatto fare un giro turistico e Priscilla ha fatto in modo di portarci in piscina (dove c'erano le coperte), per dirci che c'era un piccolo danno al pavimento della piscina, ma niente di cui preoccuparsi.
Abbiamo mangiato e siamo andati subito a letto e solo la mattina dopo abbiamo visto la vera entità del danno. Dal pavimento della piscina mancavano ampie porzioni di tessere di mosaico e la cosa peggiore è che altre tessere continuavano a staccarsi semplicemente a causa del calpestio dei bambini. È chiaro che si tratta di un problema di salute e sicurezza per chiunque, ma in particolare per due bambini e due pensionati che avrebbero potuto facilmente tagliarsi i piedi. Questo ha limitato fortemente l'uso della piscina, che ovviamente era il motivo per cui avevamo prenotato questa villa.
La villa si trova in un complesso di golf con una splendida vista sul campo e sull'oceano. È in mezzo ai boschi, quindi, a meno che non siate completamente autosufficienti per una settimana, un'auto è d'obbligo.
Per quanto riguarda la piscina, abbiamo sollevato la questione con Holiday Lettings che l'ha sollevata a sua volta con i proprietari. Hanno negato che la piscina fosse in cattive condizioni nonostante l'agente l'avesse fatto notare e hanno anche ammesso che avevano cercato di sistemarla ma i proprietari volevano affittare piuttosto che sistemare. Molto male e i proprietari non erano disposti a offrire alcun risarcimento per aver presentato male la proprietà, cosa che per 2300 sterline per una settimana mi sarei aspettato.
Purtroppo si tratta di dilettanti che hanno una proprietà fantastica ma non vogliono spendere i soldi per mantenerla o renderla un'esperienza a 5* per gli ospiti.

Villa with lots of potential but sadly lacking TLC
We booked this villa as a treat for our 50th birthdays and my parents 50th wedding anniversary and the break was very much needed for everyone. We also took my 12 year old son and his friend and the lure of the heated pool was the final decision-maker for this villa.
Having exchanged emails with the owner to check specifically on the pool (we’d been stung before on heated pools that were then glacial). All comms were positive and no mention was made of the fact that whilst the pool water was heated, the pool was in fact damaged.
We arrived just before 9pm having had to go via the property agent’s office. Again, very outdated and just added further time to an already long day. When we arrived at the villa we were given a whistle-stop tour and Priscilla did make a point of taking us out to the pool (where the covers were on), to mention that there was a little bit of damage to the floor of the pool, but nothing to worry about.
We ate and went straight to bed and it was only the next morning that we saw the true extent of the damage. Large portions of mosaic tiles were missing from the pool floor and what was worse is that further tiles continued to detach simply from the children walking. Clearly a Health and Safety issue for anyone but in particular two children and two pensioners who could easily have cut their feet. This severely curtailed the use of the pool, which was of course the reason we booked this villa.
The location of the villa is on a golf complex with great views of the course and the ocean. It is out in the sticks so unless you are completely self-sufficient for a week, a car is a must.
On the topic of the pool, we did raise this with Holiday Lettings who raised it in turn with the owners. They denied that the pool was in a poor condition despite the agent pointing it out and also admitting that they had been trying to fix but the owners wanted to rent rather than fix. Very poor and the owners were not prepared to offer any compensation at all for misrepresenting the property which for £2300 for a week, I might have expected.
Sadly amateurs who have a fantastic property but don’t want to spend the money to maintain it or make it a 5* experience for guests.

Amazing view and great Villa
Amazing view over the ocean and over the golf course.
Villa is modern, very comfortable and spacious. All bedrooms with en-suites.

Casa amplia bien equipada,zona tranquila
estuvimos 8 personas perfectamente, la casa es amplia y bien equipada, la atención a la llegada estupenda con detalle de bienvenida (fruta,agua,vino y café) nos facilitaron una guía de la zona y como el domingo jugamos por la mañana no pusieron ningún problema para salir mas tarde (sobre la 1). tiene piscina y una buena terraza con barbacoa y mesa exterior para comer, la cocina bien equipada (la cafetera es de capsulas), el salón amplio a dos alturas y bien decorado, las habitaciones son amplias y las camas cómodas (nadie se quejo por dormir mal) cada habitación con baño completo y un pequeño aseo pegado al salón.
la zona es tranquila, si buscas golf hay cuatro campos a 15 minutos en coche (los campos fabulosos) uno esta pegado ( la terraza de la piscina da al hoyo 2), la playa esta relativamente cerca (20 min. andando) .
buena estancia seguramente repetiremos.

The house was perfect for a family. We've rented homes for the past ten years with our four kids and this house was by far the best kept, spotless clean lovely laundry towels, service was really excellent. Great proximity to the beach but all other amenities were a drive away. I felt pria del Rey was a bit stark like a huge half empty American holiday estate.
I would recommend the house but I'm not sure I'd go back to the development unless you like driving a lot.

Modern Sea View Villa with Pool, Barbeque & all mods & cons
We chose this villa for a surprise 50th birthday and it did not disappoint.
Rooms: 4 double rooms all with modern en-suites, bath towels and beach towels provided which was a huge bonus.
Indoor Living Space: This was great. All open plan, ample room to chill out as a group on the sofas and a large table for meals/cards etc. Great modern kitchen too with all utensils included, coffee machine, dish washer etc.
Outdoor Space: Alfresco dining and another area for sofas too. By the pool there were 4 loungers (could've done with 8 if I'm being picky!). There is enough parking for 2 cars and it's overlooking the beach and a golf course
Surroundings: It's on a golf course in a smart and modern complex of large villas overlooking the sea. You will need a car to drive around, but the beach is a very short walk away and golf is on your doorstep.
Places to visit: We had a day out in Obidos (20 mins drive away) - this is a beautiful old town with large fort. Lots of boutiques, cafes and shops to explore and great views on-top of the fortress walls that you can walk all around. We also had an afternoon at Eden Buddha Garden - fantastic mix of Gardens, landscaping, fountains, sculpture and art. It also has a large wine shop and some great cafes.
Pros:
- All mod cons, all under one roof, open plan and great heated pool.
- Away from hustle and bustle of Lisbon, but short <5min walk to beach and driving range.
- 'Suddenly' were very helpful and drive with you to the villa and show you around
- Garden and pool are sheltered nicely from the wind and great sun-trap
- Beach is remote and white sands
Cons:
- You will have to drive to restaurants and bars. (we recommend Europcars, tried everywhere and they were by far the cheapest - DO NOT use Centauro - they are a HUGE rip off!).
- You can't swim in the sea in June - was far too choppy. Nearest swimming beach is a short drive.
