We stayed here as a family group (extended family) in April 2015. The property is situated deep into the moutains, the views are spectacular. The nearest town, casabermeja is about 20 mins away and from there its a steep drive to the property, but the great thing is that its a haven. Our host David was very welcoming and did everything to make our stay comfy. The property was made up of two villas, south and north. This worked well for us, as we split up between the two villas and we all got our own space, but the larger villa had a massive table for 8 people and living area, so we ate together and sat around together. Each bedroom (4 in total) had its own bathroom, so that made it very comfortable for us. The kitchen had a washing machine and dishwasher so that made our life easy. There was a jaccuzi that you can heat up, and a lovely pool. It was too cold to swim there in April, but in the summer months, the coolness of the mountains would be a lovely retreat from the burning spanish sun.
The villas were typically andalucian style, but finished to a high standard. Bathrooms were as the pictures show, really clean and modern. Floors throughout are tiled, so if you are going in the cooler months, take socks/slippers. David was excellent, he even brought us a pony for the kids on the last few days with a saddle, so the kids went everywhere. There was some basic food left at the villa, but in casabermeja, there is a dia supermarket to get some essentials. Soap, sheets, blankets, all provided.
The villa was 40 mins from malaga airport. David/Nathalie will meet you in casabermeja and show you up to the villa. They will also give you the low down on the local ammenties, wildlife and what to expect. Totally a first class place, would recommend it to families in particular, especially if you want the independance of having your own gaff. Great value for money
