„Aufenthalt im Juni 2019..... Noch nie wurden von seitens eines Vermieters so herzlich empfangen. Der Kühlschrank war gefüllt, Obst und Kuchen waren da und von Zacharias Mama gab es ein selbst gekochtes Essen zum Empfang. Das Haus, die Terrasse und der Garten waren wirklich bezaubernd. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Man muss jedoch wissen, dass ohne Auto dort in der Einsamkeit nichts geht. Der nächste Ort mit Bäckerei, Tavernen, Strand und kleinen Supermärkten liegt gut 10 Autominuten entfernt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!“

Wir (Familie mit zwei Kindern) hatten die Villa für zwei Wochen gebucht und waren absolut begeistert. Die Villa ist super ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und fanden ein reichhaltiges Willkommenspaket vor. Es gab Getränke, Obst, alles für ein erstes Frühstück und noch Gebäck und Kuchen. Haben wir so noch nie vorher erlebt. Die Villa hat eine perfekte Lage um einen ruhigen und entspannten Urlaub zu verbringen. Dennoch ist man mit dem Auto - Mietwagen ist ein Muss - in kurzer Zeit am Strand, erreicht Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder auch wunderbare Sehenswürdigkeiten. Der Aussenbereich der Villa war unser Highlight! Der Pool hat eine gute Größe und im Garten findet man auch immer ein Schattenplätzchen. Die Herzlichkeit der Vermieter ist nicht zu übertreffen. Sie sind äußerst bemüht und hilfsbereit, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir können die Villa ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen.

The house is very comfortable and you have everything you need. It is spotlessly clean and you have a beautiful view. But best of all are the owners. They are simply lovely. There ist even food in the house on your arrival. We have been there three times and we will certainly return.

Cannot praise this place highly enough!!! Zacharias and his mum were fantastic. When we arrived we were greeted with wine and cookies etc. The house is clean with spectacular facilities! We could not have asked for a more beautiful home to stay in. We made full use of the BBQ cooking fresh fish which zacharias showed us how to use and even provided the coal etc for free! His mum came half way through our stay and baked us some pies and upon leaving she made us some marmalade and bought us olive oil as a safe flight present. We hired a car and made full use of visiting the island during the day. On 2 nights we visited the local restaurant in skouloufia which was great food and well priced. We will definitely return and I would not stay anywhere else as this home is a home to be desired! We cannot thank you more!

We had a truly fabulous 10 days at Villa Gaia in Jul 2015 and have felt guilty about not writing review ever since. The house was spotlessly clean and extremely well-equipped and tastefully decorated in a homely style. Beds were very comfy and plenty of storage space. Shower was powerful and always plenty of hot water. The outside terrace is perfect at any time of day for catching the sun or shade as preferred. The pergola covered with beautiful flowering climber over the dining table ensured welcome shade. Indeed there was a stunning array of flowering shrubs with encumbent butterflies around the garden. The pool was clean and in good condition as was all the garden furniture. From the moment we arrived the owners Eleni, Kostas and son Zacharias could not have been more helpful, caring and efficient. With a lovely welcome pack on arrival including wine, raki , fresh fruit and ice creams as well as delicious local biscuits and many other treats. We were treated to Eleni's home cooked snacks later in the week as well as more local supplies. They were superb hosts recommending places to go and indeed booked us into a wonderful traditional music/dancing evening at a local restaurant/museum in a nearby village where we ended up joining a wedding party! V memorable and special. A car is a necessity as the Villa is a short drive up the hill from the coast. The village at the bottom had good small supermarkets and a range of Tavernas/hotels. However our favourite for evening supper was less than a kilometre away in the nearest village just down the hill and turn right. We returned several times for a very reasonable array of local dishes and were treated to a variety of homecooked specialities. We had a wonderful holiday and the Villa made a good base to explore the island. This beautiful villa and generous, thoughtful hosts contributed to a magical holiday. Thank you indeed, we would love to return one day.
