Wir haben 5 Tage in diesem liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Dorfhaus verbracht. Uns gefiel der Stil des Hauses und die Einrichtung absolut. Wir fühlten uns mehr Zuhause als in einer Ferienwohnung. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und mit Grundbestandteilen (Kaffe, Tee, Öl,Gewürze..)gut ausgestattet. ZurAnkunft fanden wir Brot, Wein Käse und Milch schon für uns vor---sehr nett! Die Kommunikation mit der Besitzerin Caroline und ihren vor Ort lebenden Freunden Andy und Nick war super. Die Beiden stehen jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung. Der kleine Pool ist besonders in diser Dorflage und macht den Aufenthalt perfekt. Es gibt diverse Sitz- und Ruhebereiche auf der Terasse, am Pool oder auf dem Balkon. Auf Grund der Höhe ist es hier deutlich kühler als an der Küste. Abends wurde es einmal an einem windigen Tag etwas kühler, was wir zum Anlass nahmen den größten offenen Kamin auszuprobieren-----wunderbar.Das Haus liegt in einem kleinen Dorf und 2-3 Tavernen und Winebars zu Fuss gleich um die Ecke. 25 min Fahrzeit nach Limasol, umgeben von diversen Weingütern. Ein Auto ist unbedingt nötig und der Ort ist eher nichts für Menschen mit Gehbehinderungen oder um einen Kinderwagen zu schieben. Wir fanden es toll und kommen sicher nochmal! Balcony house - finished to a very high standard and extremely well equipped with everything you could need, even a Nespresso. Everything has been thought of, it's home from home. The interior design is beautiful, and the views stunning. My favourite place to relax was in the swinging seat on the balcony. The pool area is clean, excellently maintained and well equipped. I was adopted by a friendly red dragonfly every morning for my early swim, and Mummy the cat loved all the attention she got from us too. Vouni - a small traditional Cypriot village with a couple of tavernas and a coffee shop (all of which open as and when). If you are looking for a place that is quiet and totally unspoilt then you are in for a treat. Do not expect entertainment, but enjoy being part of the small Vouni community who will give you a warm welcome. Communication - Caroline replies quickly and gave great directions. We knew parking was not outside and met Andy on arrival who not only helped us find the house, but ensured we had basic supplies. (We did pop to a supermarket on our way from the airport as there is no shop in the village) Throughout our holiday from booking to leaving to come home, we were looked after perfectly. Overall - we can't wait to come back again and detox from life. Vouni has stolen our hearts. Thank you Caroline Andy and Nick, you made our holiday one without anything to improve on x

I wish more guest accommodations in Cyprus were like this one! Beautifully decorated, high quality bathrooms, fully kitted out kitchen, amazing outdoor spaces and fantastic views. We really relaxed at this property. The only downside is the village is completely dead out of season (the shop never opened) - luckily we found a taverna that was open so we didn’t starve the first night (!) and our attentive hosts (Andy and Nic) stocked the house with some essential supplies ahead of our arrival. I would also add that if you have trouble walking down cobbled steps, check with the hosts because you cannot park directly outside of the house.

The Balcony house is incredibly well designed and equipped with mods and cons. In fact, we would need a far longer stay to understand all its features! The village location at the start of Trodos mountains with good views is close enough to get to the coast within around half an hour, and means a car is almost necessary. There are a few quiet tavernas in Vouni. but the supermarket is poorly stocked and operated irregular hours. Andi, who hosted the property for us, is very approachable, helpful and thorough.

We stayed one week at the Balcony House for our honeymoon. After the craziness that all weddings bring this was the perfect place to chill and soak up the sun in absolute peace. Carolines house is beautiful with lots of local areas to explore if desired. Thank you Caroline for such a lovely stay! Joanna and Alastair

An amazing house and pool, beautifully renovated with some touches of luxury throughout. With bags of charm it’s a real gem of a place in a very peaceful and authentic village off the tourist trail. We had an incredibly relaxing week. Simply wonderful!

We loved every aspect of this holiday home, location & views. A real getaway. The house was superbly equipped (Sonos music, books etc) , tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds :-) and we wanted for nothing. The kids had a ball playing around the pool. We loved the roaring wood burning natural fire at night adding to an already cosy atmosphere. The local wine also excellent! I could not recommend enough this property if you want a holiday family home away from it all in a peaceful Idyllic location at the foot of the Troodos mountains, yes its as good as it sounds!

The house and pool were even more gorgeous in real life than in the photos - it is a truly special house. The amenities were all pristine, the showers were powerful, the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable with a plentiful supply of towels and linens, the Nespresso machine got a full work-out and the house cats, Penny and Mummy, got fussed within an inch of their lives! The WIFI was more efficient than we have at home and the sound system (Spotify) made for some very chilled out evenings sat on the patio. Vouni itself is very (VERY) quiet, with a handful of local, friendly restaurants serving authentic food. There is a small, very basic shop in the village and the nearest mini markets are about a ten minute drive away. The streets are extremely narrow (built for donkeys and carts) so make sure your hire car is maybe not of the chelsea tractor variety! We had a Honda Jazz and this was fine. It would have been useful to have a sheet upon arrival with relevant info such as WIFI code, what to do with re-cycling/rubbish etc, but Sue and Graham were always extremely helpful and very friendly when we needed any such assistance. The pool was also very welcome after the sun, not heated, but once you were in (after ten minutes of huffing and puffing) it was wonderful! Caroline has been extremely helpful, efficient and friendly throughout the whole experience and I would thoroughly recommend The Balcony House!
