These suites are part of a small complex of maybe 5-6 rooms total. The hosts who live on site Yonick & Gina coordinated transport for us from the airport and were waiting for us at arrival with the keys to give us the lay of the property! It is a gorgeous renovated complex with a large mature stepped garden in the center and stunning accommodations. Our second floor suite included a wood burning stove, modern kitchen appliances, vaulted ceiling, comfortable bed and nice bathroom with a shower. It was extremely clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It was also nicely located walking distance from the historic center and with fresh empanadas being cooked mere blocks away! Yonick and Gina offered to have fruit and bread when we arrived since the restaurants close early which was delicious and the kitchen was well stocked with basics including coffee, tea, milk and sugar. It was really a pleasure to stay there and a wonderful respite from the bustle of the city! Yonick was in communication with a great driver who coordinated a trip to the Cotopaxi volcano as well as set us up with a contact in the Galapagos for another leg of our trip! I would definitely recommend staying in this little oasis!

Man siehts den Suites draussen vor der Tür nicht an, wie friedlich und schön die kleine und wunderbar gepflegte Unterkunft ist und dies nur wenige Schritte von der Altstadt entfernt. Sehr nette Gastgeber/innen, die mit vielen guten Tipps aufwarten können. Die Unterkunft empfiehlt sich auch für längere Aufenthalte, da man selber kochen kann.

Eine gute Entscheidung! Gemütliche und schön eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, gut ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Kleine Terasse, die zum allgemein zugänglichen Gartenbereich führt, an dem mehrere Ferienwohnungen liegen. Der Zugang führt durch ein Tor, sodass die Anlage abgschlossen hinter der Strasse liegt. Man fühlt sich sicher und entspannt und kann den schön gestalteten Garten und den Ausblick in die Umgebung genießen! Lage: nahe der historischen Altstadt (fußläufig 15 min), in direkter Nähe eine Bäckerei und ein Lebensmittelladen. Flughafentransfer mit einem netten Fahrer (Marcello), welcher fließend englisch spricht. Er ist für Ausflugsfahrten ansprechbar und verfügt über viele touristisch interessante Informationen. Freundliche Aufnahme durch die Eigentümer (Wolfgang und Annemarie), welche viele Tipps zur Gestaltung des Aufenthaltes bereit halten und generell ansprechbar und hilfsbereit sind. Wir waren zwei Wochen an diesem Ort, den wir auch als Ausgangspunkt für viele Unternehmungen genutzt haben, und haben die Zeit sehr genossen, würden jederzeit wieder dieses Quartier wählen!

We stayed in the 4 person apartment at Wantara Suites. It was fantastic from beginning to end. Initial communication was easy and Wolfgang responded very quickly and answered all my questions cheerfully. They set up a great driver to pick us up from the airport to take us to the hotel. Once there we were greeted by the owners, given a tour of the beautiful property and the apartment. Everything is extremely well thought out and comfortable. The pictures of the apartment do no capture the soaring ceilings and beautiful beams that were lovingly restored. The kitchen had everything we needed and a lovely enclosed porch for eating breakfast while listening to the birds. The garden is full of birds and interesting plants. The beds were comfortable, the fire place appreciated at night when the temperature dropped and the shower had great pressure and loads of hot water We could easily walk to the centro historico in just a few minutes. We had some delicious meals there (try humita) and thoroughly enjoyed walking all over the place. All the main sights were walkable. We even walked to NewTown one day and took the local tram another time. Taxis were easy as was Uber. All in all a great stay. We will go back to Wantara Suites next time we go to Quito for sure.

Die letzten 3 Tage unseres 4-wöchigen Ecuador-Urlaubs verbrachten wir in den WANTARA GARDEN SUITES, im Bungalow Luna. Einen besseren Abschluss hätten wir uns nicht wünschen können. Die Altstadt von Quito mit allen Sehenswürdigkeiten erreicht man in weniger als 15 Gehminuten, aber man befindet sich abseits von Autoabgasen ind Verkäufergeschrei und wird morgens nur vom Vogelgezwitscher geweckt und kann auf der eigenen kleinen Terrasse frühstücken. Die Basislebensmittel sind vorhanden, kleine Geschäfte/ Bäckerei befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Da ich am Nachmittag unserer Ankunft ein wenig krank war, genoss ich es, im Bungalow eine Kleinigkeit essen zu können und mich anschließend gleich im bequemen Bett im Obergeschoss auszukurieren, während der Bollerofen unten eine gemütliche,willkomene Wärme erzeugte. Fazit.: perfekte Unterkunft zu einem tollen Preis,nette Gastgeber mit guten Tips.

Unser Zimmer, das wir mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Teens bewohnten, war 2stöckig, geschmackvoll und sehr praktisch ausgestattet. Eine Küchenzeile steht zur Verfügung und der Ofen wurde aktiv genutzt, denn abends wurde es empfindlich kalt in Quito. Tagsüber steht ein schöner Innenhofgarten zur Verfügung. Unser Host war supernett und hilfsbereit. Danke noch einmal an dieser Stelle. Von der Unterkunft ist man in 10 Minuten zu Fuss in der Altstadt.

Great location in the old Quito, very close to la Ronda. Walking distance from most of the things to see in old Quito. Andi and Wolfgang are extremly helpful and are at hand with everything you need to organise. Help out with advice where to go and what to see. Wonderful Garden and comfortable appartments with style. Great place to have Breakfast in your own terrace. Bakery just around the corner.

Upon our arrival at the airport we were met by Marcelo who was pleasant,accommodating and very knowledgeable. He became a fast friend and we relied on him for everything from rides to Mindo to help when a driver did not show up. Wolfgang greeted us the morning after we arrived at night and was helpful, accommodating and pleasant. He was also quick to offer assistance when needed. The gardens and tranquility were very welcoming after a busy day in Old Town. We loved Wantara Suites, loved visiting with other guests, and the location is perfect.

Die letzten Tage unsere Ecuador-Aufenthaltes haben wir in der Wantara Garden Suite verbracht. Es war eine ausgezeichnete Wahl! Unser Apartment "Sol" war genau richtig, geräumig, schön eingerichtet, sauber und alles notwendige vorhanden. Für Abstecher in die Altstadt von Quito optimal gelegen. Die Gastgeber sind immer ansprechbar und super-hilfsbereit.
