We had excellent communication with the Swedish owner who speaks English. She arranged airport pickup and her houseman welcomed us and took us to a money exchanger nearby. Good location near markets. Convenient laundry in the rooftop garden. We stayed a week and got out to see a lot by foot and taxi Visit the catacombs and the fantastic restaurants in Miraflores and Barranco. Best shopping is Mercado de Artisanes in Miraflores and also near the cathedral/catacombs. We spent 90 days and visited 5 countries by buses by ourselves and we turned 66 during the trip. It was work. We took a 2 week cruise around Cape Horn in the middle which was wonderful.

Clean spacious secure unit for 4 of us with good service from the manager. Great taxi service arranged for us and good communication with Tovi, the owner. It's sited between Miraflores and the old City centre with good public transport nearby.

Nice spacious. Good location and assistance in planning trips. Security was good. Plenty of markets and restaurants around. There was water on washroom floor from leak some where.

This was by far the most value for money that I have ever had in a major capital city. At 50$ a night I got what I paid for and then some. Thank you for having me. For any group if people staying at this wonderful place I strongly suggest having a traditional Peruvian BBQ on the roof.

Tove quien es la dueña del apto es una persona muy amable y colaboradora, nos relaciono con un taxista de confianza (Luis) y el fue el que nos llevaba y nos recogía del aeropuerto y de la terminal ella nos nos ayudo mucho con sus recomendaciones En el apto la persona encargada es Telmo un señor muy amable y colaborador, siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudarnos en lo que necesitábamos y a orientarnos también en lo que le consultáramos sobre los sitios a visitar, incluso un día nos envió con su hijo a que nos acompañara a tomar bus para ir a las ruinas de pachacamac, su hijo muy amable nos acompaño y nos oriento muy bien sobre la ida y regreso a las ruinas. En general lo recomiendo, es un lugar limpio, ordenado, muy completo y seguro

We stayed here in May at the beginning and the end of our trip to Peru. The communication prior to with the host was excellent - and coordination of our arrival was perfect. The host also coordinated our taxi pick up with Luis who is a gem- at the airport which was awesome and made it very easy. The apartment is good size- Telmo (owners right hand man) lives on sight and was there to help us get acclimated, show us where the bank is, and how to ride the Combi. The only challenge was if we did stay out later - we did not communicate up front easily how to get in and out of the apartment gate - so we had to ring the bell to let Telmo let us in. Additionally- wifi was not always consistent. Overall good spot for the cost - and provided us with a place to start and complete our trip to Peru. The apartment is bare bones- but we were out and about so much it was just our space to catch some ZZZZs! The flexibility with Luis the driver was also extremely helpful.

Although we were a little skeptical due to the low price, the previous reviews let us take a chance. We were met at the airport by a cab driver that we were able to engage for the duration of our stay at a very reasonable price. The room was simple but clean, with a hot shower, soft bed, and comfortable furnishings. There was a on site manager who did his best to meet our needs and even brought us a pot of coffee each morning. The facility had a good security gate as well. Although we do not speak much Spanish and the manager and driver did not speak much English, we were able to get by pretty well. We would definitely stay there again if we ever are in Lima again!

We stayed for four nights in this apartment building in Lice, Lima. It was good to stay in a part of town where ordinary people lived and worked, and there were plenty of local shops, a market and a large supermarket for our needs. There was a great restaurant five or ten minutes walk away - El Rincón Que No Conoces - The Corner Place (or Nook) No One Has Heard Of. The apartment itself was basic, but had pretty much what we needed (the shower was very good). It's a good option for those who want their own space, avoid hotels and are on a budget. For the centre of a big city like Lima, it was also relatively quiet. The building was very secure (you need to be buzzed in to access it) and, because the family live on site, there was always someone around to ask for help. This was particularly useful when we stupidly locked ourselves out with the key in the inside of the lock and the whole family turned out to find a way back in! It was easy to book a taxi for days out, or just to pick one up outside (there were usually a few there and we liked the fact that they all knew each other and the family). All of our queries before we arrived were answered quickly.

We wondered what an apartment would be like for only $35 per night. The answer is that it was ideal. In advance, I asked the owner or manager if someone would be able to help us with our heavy luggage (including medical equipment). They were ready to help when we arrived. The apartment was surprisingly large. Since it was chilly, they loaned us a space heater for the bedroom. A large bottle of safe (bottled) water was on the table. After traveling with a group and eating over-salted food, I wanted to cook for myself. Like another reviewer's experience, the manager's son walked with us to the market and helped us buy ingredients for dinner and breakfast. We were flying out late at night. At a regular hotel, I'd have had to wait in the lobby after check-out time. For this price, we booked an extra night and I was able to stay in the apartment all afternoon using the wifi until we were ready to go to the airport. The only downsides were that the bathroom is small, children were noisy during the day and the place is not fancy, but the bed was comfortable and the apartment turned out to be just what we wanted.
