Our large group had a wonderful stay of almost a week. At first, we were surprised that the chalet is right on the road, overlooking the major "Y" intersection in town, but the roads are quiet dead ends and the location offers easy access to several excellent restaurants, small local stores, and hiking trails. The second floor windows from the dining/living area gave us great views of village life. Bedrooms, each with its own bath: good sized and quiet, but we would have traded TVs for reading lights. The kitchen is well equipped, with barbecue area outside. Excellent hiking from the house. Super gracious host Ioana helped us plan airport transfers for late arrivals and van transport for group sightseeing so that we didn't have to rent cars and could just relax. Can't wait to go back!

A group of 14 of us spent a week here, and we really couldn't fault it! Everywhere was clean and well kept. There are great eating places within walking distance, and the most amazing views from the gardens. The hosts, Ioana and Ignacio are extremely friendly, and were on hand most of the time if we needed anything. They hold the keys to the village church and gave us a private tour. On two evenings we were invited up to their garden to have Tuica (the local drink) and locally made cheese. Within easy reach are the towns of Brasov and Bran, both of which are well worth visiting. On one day we toured the mountains. The roads are quite bad in places, so don't do this unless you have a 4x4! The chalet is beautiful, and can easily accommodate 16 people. It is very well situated for walks in the countryside and to experience Romanian village life. Ioana and Ignacio are very happy to organise excursions of any king. Whatever you are interested in, just ask them. Would happily go again.

12 of us stayed here for the last two weeks of August. It was our first trip to Romania and we had no idea what to expect. Moiecui de Sus is a perfect base for walking holidays, which is what we were after. Our hosts Ioana and Nacho couldn't have been more helpful, they produced maps for us and where there wasn't a map available, drew out plans for us to follow. The area is stunning with amazing wild flowers and a mix of old and new, the internet in the house was very fast but you could still see horses and carts trotting past the window every day.

La casa es un alojamiento de montaña muy acogedor y en un entorno impresionante. Los desayunos buenisimos y mirando a las montañas, espectacular! Los gerentes, un matrimonio que habla ingles, frances, español y rumano, te proporcionan todo tipo de excursiones y visitas tanto culturales como de montaña para pasar tus vacaciones como mas te apetezca. Ademas te hacen sentir como en familia con un trato inmejorable. A todo aquel que le guste la montaña, Moieciu de Sus es un destino perfecto, en medio de un paraje increíble y a poca distancia de varios de los destinos mas turisticos de Transilvania, Brasov, Bran, Rasnov... Una casita en medio de los Carpatos para disfrutar unas vacaciones sorprendentes!

We were a party of different families and totaled 12 people including children aged between 18 months and fifteen years. Bradul Chalet is both spacious and well maintained, giving members of the group the opportunity to do different things at the same time. Even with music and partying in the main reception area, it was possible for the little ones to sleep at the top of the chalet with no problems. The area that Bradul Chalet is set, is one of immense natural beauty, and in my opinion can rival the likes of austria and Switzerland at less than half the price. There are many beautiful walks through mountains, forest, and parks that are waiting to be explored. We were self catering, however I am sure there are a number of local restaurants that are within easy reach. The community is served by a number of small shops for any every day requirements and the town of Bran is some 8km away where there are more shopping opportunities. Bran Castle is more commonly known as Dracula's Castle. The entrance fee here is 25 Lei for adults and 5 Lei for students. It is well worth a visit for the views and the interesting memorabilia. Although we visited in November the weather was very mild and unseasonably warm. Indeed with the blue skies and the temperatures in the high twenties it could have been the middle of summer! Finally I must mention Ioana and her husband who I think manage the lets on behalf of Ioana's parents. Nothing was too much trouble for them in ensuring our stay was excellent. I hope to return to Bradul Chalet again as there is much more I would like to see and do there. I suggest you will not find a better base for your holiday be it a weekend or a month! Moeciu de Sus should be visited soon before the news gets out and you will be struggling to book!

We stayed in Moeciu de Sus in august this year. We travelled a lot of Romania and had a lovely relaxing week in the Cabana Bradul. We were welcomed by the lovely family and really enjoyed our stay. The house was in a great location. We especially liked the swinging chairs and would relax reading and go for walks nearby. We would love to visit again! Thanks to Ioana and family... Laura and Lee :)
