Very good location and friendly place to stay
Our stay in “Banana Villa” was really nice experience: spacious accommodation, well-equipped kitchen, and nice clean bathroom. Bed linen and towels were spotless, powershover with constant water supply, perfect cleaning service daily. The location is very convenient, so we decided to hire bicycles as an alternative to a car and, though they were not great, we enjoyed rides to all places we wanted to visit (practically whole Island of Praslin).
Everybody was very friendly, particularly proprietors who live in one of the villas. We were treated almost as family members, offered to taste exotic fruits from their own garden, home cooked shark dish, and even got a lift to jetty, since our departure coincided with owner’s scheduled trip in the same direction. We will remember our stay in Sun View Lodge, and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Exceptional value for a perfect stay
The Seaview Lodge is an excellent choice for your Praslin holiday. We found the owner/manager and staff to be very friendly and helpful. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the booking, contact via email, arranging car transfers from the airport, and a wonderful stay.
We stayed for four nights and asked for a villa up high with a view. One of the villas was recently refurbished so they made sure to give us that one as we were there as part of our anniversary trip. The villa is on the same bay as Raffles for less than 20% of the price! Exceptional value.
Our villa had plenty of privacy and a fantastic sun deck that faced north so we got the afternoon sun, as well as a great view of the bay. Seaview will also provide meals and we were very happy with the dinner provided, at a very reasonable price.
The hotel was undergoing some small modifications and the owner was very considerate of our needs. They actually delayed the work until 11am as we are late risers so it would not bother us. It was always great to come home and find a lovely cold coconut drink in the fridge. The self-contained villa includes a good kitchen, and we made use of that to make some great breakfasts which we had on the various beaches of Praslin. The Seaview also do car hire at reasonable rates and our car was quite new and spotless.
We spent four nights at Raffles after four nights here and if I ever go back to Praslin, I will definitely prefer Seaview over the overpriced Raffles.

Des vraies pro du tourisme
Bungalow situé à quelques pas de plage (seule la route les sépare), trés propre des draps brodés, personnel trés accueillant, l'accueille se fait avec des cocos décoré d'une fleur, Mme Gretel est au petit soin avec ses clients, elle prend même soin de mettre une bouteille d'eau à votre arrivée dans votre frigot des fruits m'ont été offertes des épices à votre départ elle vient vous saluer et savoir si vous avez passé de bonnes vacances.En propreté je m'y connais vous ne seriez pas déçu.

perfekte Unterkunft für einen Aufenthalt im Paradies
Wir waren im Anschluss an einen Segeltörn für drei Tage in der Sea View Lodge. Hier hat alles gestimmt . Sehr nette Eigentümer, hilfsbereites Personal. Saubere, gepflegte Unterkunft.
Toller Ausblick auf den Ocean. Die Krönung war das Essen an zwei Abenden. Die beste
kreolische Küche unseres Aufenthaltes. Dazu noch einen unermüdlichen Musiker, der für
tolle Stimmung gesorgt hat und alle ( sogar meinen tanzfaulen Ehemann) zu körperlichen Höchstleistungen gebracht hat. Der Strand vor der Tür war leider stark veralgt, aber für ein paar Rupien war mit dem Bus jeder der weißen Traumstrände in Minuten zu erreichen. Die Seychellen sind wirklich ein kleines Paradies ohne entstellende Hotelburgen und den Spuren von Massentourismus. Für Segler ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Wir können es nur empfehlen.

perfect stay for families, great location and a stunning view over Anse Possession
We travelled as family with our two teenage daughters and stayed almost a week in one of the hillside villas offering a stunning view over Anse Possession. Gretel and her family were very helpful and did everything to make our stay a perfect one! We explored the whole island by car and any place of interest was within comfortably reachable distance. The boattrip to Curieuse Island including a great barbecue on the beach was organised by one of Gretels relatives and figures certainly amongst our most memorable experiences! Breakfast was served on our own terrace every morning. It was a great pleasure to stay at Sea View Lodge Selfcatering Villas - we hope to come back once... Thanks for everything!

Top Unterkunft
Die Anlage hat eine top Lage über der Anse Possession. Die Häuser sind so gebaut, dass keine Terrasse von Nachbarn einsehbar ist. Frühstück und Abendessen werden auf der privaten Terasse serviert. Betreiber und Angestellte tun alles, um einen optimalen Aufenthalt zu haben. Um Praslin zu erkunden sollte man 1-2Tage einen Mietwagen buchen, der Betreiber hat eine eigene Autovermietung. Achtung: Linksverkehr, ein Automatikgetriebe erleichtert die Umstellung.

Sea View Lodge - The Perfect Self Catering Accommodation on Praslin Island.
Sea View Lodge self catering accommodation located on Praline island
We stayed at the sea view lodge for 2 weeks a quiet small family run self catering accommodation located on Anse Possession a quiet bay on the north side of the island. Sea View Lodge shares the same cove as Raffels but the opposite side of the bay. It is close to Anse Lazio been only a short bus ride away and a walk the other end 5 rupees each way or by car. Car hire is available from Gretel the owner of the accommodation.
The villas / rooms
There are about 6 villas available some are located on the road level – Apple Villa been what looked like the largest is right on the road side and opposite the beach and sun bathing area. There is a smaller villa also on the road level just set back from Apple Villa, then there are 4 villas on stilts that overlook the bay. We particularly wanted a villa on stilts as they are much more private with no one directly overlooking the balcony area so we emailed in advance and our request was recognized.
The villa we stayed in was a one bedroom which is perfect for 2 with a large comfy bed, air conditioning, fan inside and also outside. The balcony area is lovely with a table which is undercover and two sunbeds. There was a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to make lovely meals for 2 weeks, cooker, hop, microwave, washing machine, pots, pans kettle, fridge and freezer.
Each villa has its own bathroom with rain shower and hot water was never a problem.
Each villa is cleaned every day and maintained to a very high standard, fresh towels and bed linen changed most days.
Wifi
There is free wifi at the hotel but it is very very slow, to be fair Gretel did tell us it was slow and that’s what we expected. We however need access to the wifi a lot due to our work (we never stop), even on holiday. We always carry a dongle with us and just bought a cable and wireless 3G card with 4GB of data loaded which cost about £40.00 this worked perfectly for us at the villa and makes it the perfect little hideaway to get some writing done.
Grounds
The Grounds are immaculately kept and it is very clear that Gretel takes pride in her accommodation. The gardens are lovely and home to some wonderful looking birds who came and visited our breakfast table, regularly we found they especially liked the butter and bread crumbs from the toast and were bold enough to set right in front of us eating the crumbs which was really nice to get so close to wonderful colored birds.. There are also 3 tortoises who love a stroke under the neck and also a fabulous was to recycle green waste Seychelles style.
There is a swimming pool for use by residents but we never went in it, why would we when the Indian Ocean is at our doorstep?
There are sunbeds for use of residents they are on the road side over looking the bay, if you prefer not to be on the road side just take a towel and walk further along the bay where you will find your own private cove to relax and let the day pass while gazing at the beautiful views and Indian Ocean.
Location
The bay is pristine and quiet and it’s a short bus ride to town where there a number of local supermarkets it took us about 15 minutes on the bus, or alternatively you can hire a car and its maybe a 10 minute drive if that. Here you will be able to get all the groceries you need at a number of supermarkets and there is also a money exchange.
Other facilities
Gretel will arrange any tours you require her Nephew runs the boats and also is there to help and advise if you need it.
Summary
We booked this accommodation based on other Trip Adviser reports and we wanted to stay away from the big hotels and restaurants as they are very expensive. Staying at a guest house and cooking our own meals made the Seychelles a very affordable option and also made for a very relaxed holiday as we were not held to meal times. This for us was perfect. The accommodation is very well located, exceptionally maintained and run by a very approachable friendly family. I would recommend Sea View Lodge to anyone who is looking for good quality accommodation while travelling on a budget you wont be disappointed. I would happily visit again in the future.

Ci aspettavamo molto di più...
Premetto che prima di arrivare in questa guest house sul isola di Praslin, siamo stati 5 giorni a Mahé in un altra guest house che aveva superato anche le ns. aspettative e siamo arrivati quindi con pretese molto alte..
Inizio con le caratteristiche positive: La visto sul mare è bella, ma non eccezionale in quanto coperto un po' da dal tetto di un' altra villetta più avanti alla nostra che si chiamava Villa Mango.
Il giardino è bellissimo con molte piante ben curate che ospitano dei uccellini meravigliosi che tre tartarughe di media grandezza.
Noi eravamo in Villa Mango che oltre ad avere un arredamento vecchio, avrebbe bisogno di una bella ristrutturazione: La porta del bagno non chiudeva ed era priva di chiave, idem la porta della camera principale. La doccia del bagno dei ragazzi era malfunzionante ed l'aria condizionata non funzionava in quando aveva una perdita di gas. Non mi è piaciuto il fatto che davanti alla porta che non chiudeva c'era un grosso sasso...il gestore sapeva quindi di questi difetti ma non ha fatto niente per sistemare l'appartamento prima del ns. arrivo. Comunque questi lavori di mantenimenti sono stati fatti il giorno dopo il ns. arrivo appena comunicato alla persona addetta.
Va detto, e dalle foto non si capisce bene, che la struttura e divisa dalla spiaggia da una strada abbastanza trafficata con piccolo parcheggio davanti e che la spiaggia non è molto adatta per fare il bagno, comunque dopo aver già visto tante spiagge mozzafiato su Mahè, le ns. aspettative erano anche in qual senso molto alte.
Per il resto non abbiamo avuto problemi, gli elettromestici funzionavano tutti, le pulizie erano nella norma ed i gestori erano gentili anche se potevano dare più informazioni di loro iniziativa.
La posizione è ottimale per il periodo ns. estivo, in quanto le alghe sono tutte dalla parte opposta dell'isola e la bellissima Anse Lazio è facilmente raggiungibile da li con una macchina.
Dimenticavo, non contate sulla piscina, è molto piccola e non adatta per notare
