Amazing vacation
Eduardo and Philip are amazing hosts.
They went out of their way to make us comfortable.
The location is perfect. Far enough out of the city to have a relaxing country feel, yet close enough to enjoy all that Rio has to offer.
Highly recommended.

Rio's best kept secret
Let's just say - stay here if you want to reconnect with nature and chillax. It has a brilliant holiday tick list; there's a beautiful beach, crashing and musical waves, friendly and accommodating hosts (thank you Philip& Eduardo), amazing sun rises and sets, spacious and well- equipped accommodation, a swimming pool, a roof terrace, local shops, bars, glorious sunshine, a very helpful (off - site) housekeeper/driver, Eden, and it is simply a fantastic place to experience an area of Rio that's off the tourist trail - it was magical to sit on the roof terrace cooking a bbq, listening to the sea, with a full moon and starry sky. Our photos and memories are spectacular!

Olympic-Rio 2016-15th birthday gift vacation, a sublime reality!
Philip, from the initial booking to our arrival back home, your were in constant communication facilitating and accommodating our adventure to Brazil. Having your immediate feedback to our concerns allowed us to relax in preparation of our family vacation.
Eduardo, your hospitality, attentiveness and concern for our family, Rose’s delicious churrasco and Eden’s patience in chauffeuring us to our Olympic events made our stay worry free.
“Casa de Yemanja” on the amazing beach of Itaipuaçu with view of Pedra do Elefante in the horizon was a heavenly escape from the action and attention Rio-the Olympic host city, appropriately received. Brazil is beautiful and we miss it already!

A quiet bit of Rio paradise
So my girldfiend and I just stayed at this property for 4 days on our way to Rio de janerio, the location was fantastic around an hours bus from Rio bus terminal 30 minutes in the taxi. However it is far enough aways from the bussy hustle and bustle of Rio to realy relax and chill out in privacy.
The house itself has a fantastic location right on the beach, and is only one of a couple of other building there, meaning you prety much have the beach to yourself.
Surrounding the property there is a lovely little garden in the front and at the back is a patio area with a good sized pool, (to note one of the cleanest we have been in on our trip around.

The downstairs bedroom where we stayed is essential its own flat, with a fully equipped kitchen, and ensuite bathroom/shower. The beds were incredibly comfortable with clean linen and towels provided.
The first floor of the property has a large open longe/dining area with big sliding windows opening into a balcony which looks out over the beach and sea great views from dinner.
There are two good size rooms with double beds and air conditioning which is always needed!. Then a kitchen at the bakc, fully equipped for any meal.
On the roof there is a fantastic open space with a bar and bbq brick oven. With 360 uninterrupted view surrounding the property of the beach and mountains, in the evening the sunset and the stars are just amazing !
So overall this property is just what everyone is looking for,
Quiet,private, clean, and homely just a great place to spend some time relaxin and catching a good tan!

Preciosa casa sobre la playa
La casa es muy linda y cómoda. Eduardo, el anfitrión muy cordial y siempre atento para resolver los inconvenientes que pudieran surgir. Fuimos tres matrimonios con niños de entre 7 años y 10 meses de edad y estuvimos muy comodos.
Lo mas lindo: las vistas desde la casa. Lo mas incómodo: en esta playa el mar es muy bravo para bañarse. Pero a 10 minutos en auto (también hay un servicio de combis) está la playa de Itaipú muy linda y de aguas calmas.
Recomiendo seguir las indicaciones de Eduardo para llegar al establecimiento, ya que son muy claras. Si vas a conducir por tu cuenta, recomiendo leerlas atentamente con anterioridad ya que conducir en Rio no es fácil.

Paradise
The whole booking experience was problem free and as we were a family group travelling from Rio by taxi the instructions emailed in English and Portuguese made the transfer from the airport a lot easier. A great welcome from Philip and Eduardo and we all instantly felt at home. The top floor terrace is wonderful and we enjoyed BBQ's there most evenings and spent hours just enjoying the view. There was enough in the village to keep us occupied, some nice simple beach bars, a great pizza place and well stocked supermarket. We took the local bus over the mountain on a number of occasions to enjoy the beaches and seafood on offer. The views from the house are just amazing, the sea, the beach and the mountains, what more can you want. Eduardo was a delight, so amiable and helpful. All in all a wonderful time was had by all.

The perfect de-stress location!!
I stayed in this house in March/April and had a really wonderful time. This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway from the stress of city life (i live in london) but also only an hour and a half from Rio for a little shopping and clubbing!
I loved this house from relaxing in the walled garden to barbecues on the terrace - catered for by Eduardo as I wanted a little pampering!
You feel like you're on a ship in the ocean here - the sound of the waves sending me to sleep each night. I can't wait to come back - particularly after June this year when they tell me the new swimming pool will be finished.

A Room with a View
A beautiful house literally on the beach.
Stunning views in all directions, the sea and beach in front trees and mountains behind
The roof terrace is spectacular - you can lounge in a hammock and get a 360 degree view.
There was abundant wildlife and good fishing.
The house itself is comfortable, quiet and relaxing.
I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

Una casa muy especial!
La Casa de Yemanja es una bellisima residencia a una hora de Rio de Janeiro. Si buscas una casa grande, totalmente equipada para alquiler y con una vista increible al Atlantico, este es el sitio perfecto para vos.
La casa es perfecta para relajarse y esta muy bien localizada. Es facil hacer excursiones de un dia a Rio de Janeiro.
Llegamos a Rio y decidimos alquilar un coche para llegar hasta la casa. El viaje se puede hacer en bus pero es mas comfortable y rapido si alquilas un coche. Cuando llegamos a la casa fuimos muy bien recibidos y ellos nos explicaron todo lo necesario para que tuvieramos una buena estancia en Rio.
La ciudad es chiquita pero alla son todos son muy amigable. Las playas son bellisimas y sobre todo tranquilas. Nos encanto pasar el dia en la playa y acabarlo disfrutando de un asadito en el jardin! Al final de la tarde, todos nos reunimos en el balcon para admirar la puesta de sol: INCREIBLE!
La terraza de la casa es grandisima y perfecta para celebrar fiestas, como la Luau (fiesta a la luna), asi la llaman los brasilenos. Hasta un búho vino a visitarnos!
La Piedra del Elefante nos encanto! Es un sitio perfect si quieres disfrutar de un caminata y pequenas escaladas.
Dormir escuchando el mar todos las noches fue lo mejor de todo…
