The place was amazing. The house is spare, but entirely sufficient. The outdoor space is terrific. The house is fully self-contained, sitting over the water, in a beautiful location. It looks back to the mainland. As expected, it is remote and takes a fair amount of planning to pull off boat taxis, tours, groceries, and supplies. There is a sufficient market a block away from their Bocas town dock. You need to take all your food, water, emergency supplies with you. You could easily go into town everyday if you wish. Tours, and taxis to other locations around the islands take some planning. The caretaker (Ernesto) is onsite and definitely available if needed. Poli is terrific. She was super responsive, and helpful with advice, boat taxi contacts and any other questions that might come up.

2nd Time In Paradise
Almost three years ago my SO and I stayed in the Blue House and had the time of our lives. We were so relaxed and so peaceful that we knew we'd have to come back.
This time we stayed a little more than one week and wish we could have stayed much much longer. First of all, this amazing place starts with Poli and Lyo. They have built and maintained an off-the-grid home that is not only serene and tranquil but provides you with almost everything that you need: solar power, rain water cisterns and propane hot water power the self sufficient houses. On top of that Poli and Lyo add a concierge-like service and will help prepare you for any adventures you'd like to try. They will respond quickly to any concerns you may have and never make you feel that you are a burden to them. We love them both and look forward to coming back again.
The best part of the house is the surrounding waters, the plethora of fish and sea life that are right off the dock. You can see all types of fish, rays, dolphins, crabs, etc. just sitting and watching the calm, mirror-like and crystal clear waters. Dive in, snorkel, and come face to face with some amazing sea life.
They provide daily transfers in to town and will assist you if you are in need of other transports such as going in to Bocastown for dinner. We mostly purchased groceries and cooked at the house (full kitchen!) and even bought fresh lobster from the local fishermen who pulled right up to the dock. Thanks to Juan and Mercedes, the caretakers, for helping out with the purchases.
We will be returning as soon as we are able.

The most relaxing vacation ever
This fabulous overwater bungalow was located a 15 minute boat ride from Bocas town.The bungalow was well appointed with everything you could need.
Owner Poli was easy to work with and always quick to respond.
Caretaker Juan and his wife took care and pride in their duties and provided daily boat rides to Bocas town should you need to pu groceries or just a visit to town.
We enjoyed fantastic snorkeling right off our deck which was like jumping into an aquarium full of tropical fish and even a local spotted eagle ray.
Over all an amazing experience.

Heaven on Earth!
The adventure starts from the moment you land in Boacas Del Toro. We find the hosts and their caretakers to be more than generous with the assistance they will provide. And if you just want to relax and enjoy the beautiful home they will gladly allow you to do that as well. Cannot ask for a home that provides all the peace and solitude one can ask for!

Cuando llegamos a Bocas estaba Poli esperándonos fue muy amable, la casa super limpia,tiene lo que necesitas para tu estadía, el mar transparente la verdad que todo fue fantástico, la casa tiene incluido el traslado al pueblo en lancha solo de 10am a 2pm si no quieres ir el lanchero te hace la compra.

Perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Bocas
My husband & I spent 10 days in this beautiful over-the-water villa in Bocas Del Toro. It is located about 10 minutes by boat to Poli & Lyo's dock, and then a 15-20 minute walk into "town" where the shops and restaurants are. You can also take a taxi into town for $2 per person, but the walk is enjoyable. The homes caretaker, Ariel, goes into town daily (11-2), so you can go at that time for no additional cost. Since there are no roads from this property into town, the only way to get around is by boat. The water taxi's will cost you $40-50 per RT if you opt to go at other times. Poli can arrange earlier/later drop off times with Ariel, and the cost is very reasonable. My husband and I bought our food at the local markets and cooked most of our meals at the house. If you are looking to be part of the night life in town on a regular basis, this is not the house for you. If you are looking for a private, quiet, beautiful home in a perfect location, then this is the place for you. The snorkeling around and under the house is amazing. I saw all of the typical tropical fish, as well as a barracuda and spotted ray. Being able to dive off the deck into warm water, and snorkel everyday without having to take a boat was the best! My husband & I were able to really relax and unwind here. The internet did work well, so you can stay connected if absolutely necessary. Otherwise, this home is the perfect place to soak up the sun, lose yourself in a good book, nap in the hammock and stargaze at night (no light pollution here!). The home is well equipped with what you need. The home is powered with solar, so there are no microwaves, Keurig machines or bright lights. Making our morning coffee with the French press or Moka pot was awesome. Be prepared to slow down...it does your body good! Thank you Poli and Lyo for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

We really loved this place
We came to Bocas a week before the wedding to stay here. This is an amazing place and It is ridiculously cheap! We stayed at these two houses over the water for 3 1/2 days and no joke, it was absolutely gorgeous! The houses were off the grid, no roads anywhere near, we took the drone up 1000 ft and couldn’t see anything other than mangroves and a few other houses! There is no light pollution whatsoever, so the stars, Milky Way, and countless shooting stars are fully visible. The houses are run on solar power, but we had no issues. Saw a bunch of little spotted rays in the back by Juan’s house, an octopus also back there, great lightning fish (just jump up and down on the dock way back by Juan’s). Snorkeling is best under the blue house but watch out for the fire coral on the pylons. Also snorkel along the reef if you can snorkel in shallow water. Lots of fish (yellow snapper, parrot fish, sergeants, tang, mini barracuda and we saw a 3-1/2-4 ft giant barracuda-only saw him once early in the morning)!!! Love hearing the howling monkeys at 5:00 AM while we were doing our dock yoga! The kayaks were fun, we went past the white and blue house all the way into that lagoon, eerily calm! Poli was very helpful and sweet. The boat takes you to and from town 2x/day. I advise to do all your excursions with “Edy ” Edilberto Penaloza (Ask Poli for him) or see my reviews. He was the best!
Americans, just know that everywhere in Bocas (and any other small islands-also most of Central America), the plumbing isn’t strong enough for toilet paper, so if this is your first time, it may take some getting used to. You have to throw away the used toilet paper.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Bocas Del Toro
The pictures can't do this place justice. The panoramic views of the mainland mountains across the Caribbean are truly impossible to describe. Our family of five is living in Panama for only a few years and knew we'd likely only get one trip to Bocas and we wanted to make it special. We surely did. Staying on the water, with the glass floor section, the in-deck hammock, the coral reef on the house supports and behind the house in the shallows, and the peace and tranquility were perfect.
The house sleeps 4 very comfortably. I would recommend bringing a cot if you have more than that. The refrigerator and oven are quite small, so if you are bringing food to bake (we did an egg bake) or store in the refrigerator, be sure to bring it in smaller than 9x13 pans.
I would also recommend returning from any day trips before dark. The water taxis in Bocas are more expensive and definitely more challenging once the sun goes down.
Juan, Poli, and Mercedes were all extremely helpful and polite and available when needed, but not hanging around when not.
We saw some amazing fish and sea creatures including the coral, a barracuda, many sardines, the luminous fish, a stingray, many other beautiful fish, and three really large crabs. The kids loved hanging out without electronics, playing board games, swimming around the house, and watching the fish and seeing the view.

Beautiful!
This is our 2nd time booking this place. We loved it so much we brought friends. The area is beautiful and peaceful. The home is clean and well maintained, our favorite part was the abundance of sea life you see under the home and in the nearby reef. Poli was awesome! Very attentive, informative and responsive. We highly recommend this property.
