Jason’s property on the Bon Secour River is exactly what we needed for a week to relax and unwind! Jason was extremely quick to respond to any questions we had. The pictures are great, but do not do this place the justice it deserves. This unit is very clean, nestled in a quaint neighborhood with friendly neighbors, and has quick access to numerous restaurants and shops. We spent most of our time outside on the decks watching birds, river otters, jumping mullet, and turtles… the wildlife did not disappoint. We had planned on hopping over to the beach, but after lounging at the pool that overlooks the river, we didn’t even bother. The kitchen is fully stocked for anything you would need for an overnight or extended stay. All furniture and beds were comfortable… several naps were taken on the patio furniture on the lower deck/seating area. We had plenty of room to park our large pickup truck underneath the unit. The upper deck has a nice gate that kept our dogs safely contained on the upper level while we enjoyed relaxing with them up there. Highly recommend the Tin Top Restaurant (also recommended to us by Jason) as it is very close with great service, and tasty, but diverse menu. I usually have recommendations for improvement, but it is obvious that Jason takes pride in his home, and we were very pleased throughout our entire stay. We will be recommending this place to our friends and family, and we will be back. Thanks for a great week, Jason!

We enjoyed our stay in Jason's Bon Secour river cabin! It is the perfect compromise for those that like to fish and those that like the beach! Gulf Shores is a short drive away and fishing is right outside your door- literally.
The cabin was very clean and had all of the amenities that we needed for our trip. We especially appreciated the BBQ grill and the washer/dryer. It was also nice to have covered parking under the house for our vehicle.
One of the reasons we decided on this cabin over the others in the area was because it was toddler friendly. With a three year old and the close proximity of the water I was a litttle nervous but there was a gate on the deck and an extra safety latch on the front door to prevent her from wondering out on her own. She played for hours with the water table while we fished.
The neighbors were so friendly! We enjoyed chatting with them. We felt like we had lived there for years. The pool was also great!
Be sure to pick up some Royal Red Shrimp from Billy's Seafood down the street. One of the best meals we had was fresh grilled shrimp right there at the cabin. Also get some Oyster's Tin Top from Tin Top restaurant. Delicious!
We couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay for our Gulf Shores vacation. Thanks Jason! We hope to return next summer!

The cabin was a welcomed retreat from the bustling shores area. Close enough to everything fun yet far enough to be peaceful. Awesome Pelican entertainment watching them dive for food right in front of our deck. We didn't get to see any dolphins but all the other wildlife was great. Jason was quickly there to take care of all of our needs.

My husband and I stayed during our wedding weekend...
My husband and I stayed during our wedding weekend this past week. It was perfect! Right on the water where we could relax and paddle board and used the boat launch. Close enough to Gulf Shoes for good food, but far enough away to not get stuck in the spring break crowds. We will definitely keep in mind to do again and we only live an hour away! Already recommended to my parents to use instead of going to Dauphin Island!

We were looking for a peaceful place to stay near to the chaos of the beach during Spring Break. This was it!! It was exactly as described, so no complaints at all with that. Kayaks would have been nice, as it is in a great place to use them, but we were able to borrow some so all is good for us.
