Great Jungle Style Home
My 2 brothers and I returned to Puerto Jimenez after living there over 38 years ago. We were looking for a place that was authentic for the area and comfortable. We definitely found it! We were all very pleased with the great accommodations and extremely helpful and friendly staff.
The bedrooms all had air conditioning and the home had a great kitchen, dinning and large common area with an extra special and spacious outdoor covered area with comfortable sofas for a great area for talking, reading and afternoon relaxing.
We would all recommend to all are friends and family to spend some very special time at this wonderful home!

Lugar de descanso en medio de la selva
Uno de los mejores sitios donde me he quedado, fascinante desde la llegada,el estacionamiento con hongos gigantes, jardines de manglares y altos arboles. Por la noche escuchar sonidos de fauna moviendose alrededor de la cabaña y despertar con las voces de las guacamayas entre los arboles. Definitivamente volvería ahi.

One of the best stays we have had in Costa Rica
This was my wife's and my fourth visit to Costa Rica and when my brother and sisters found out what we have been up to for our vacations they requested to join us. In our search to find some impressive locations to show our family we came across CASA MANGLAR, seemed perfect and believe me for us it was just that. The booking went off without a hitch, The house was impressive and set-up well, The master bedroom and junior suites were spacious and comfortable, all rooms had air conditioning and beds very comfortable.
I started my day at 6:00 am with a cup of fresh brewed Costa Rican coffee on the roof top balcony watching the Capuchin monkeys making their way past the resort, not to mention the birds, put my Nikon to good use.
The beach in Puerto Jimenez is for swimming, no surfer waves, safe and calm for those who are not strong swimmers, we took every opportunity to swim.
If you would like to see one of the greatest creations on earth which are plentiful in Puerto Jimenez and that is none other than the majestic scarlet Macaws, pictures and more pictures.
Andrew is well versed with the area and is always available to guide/advise 0n what ever your needs are.
As for our family we have found a new friend and a new home, Looking forward to revisiting Andrew and CASA MANGLAR. Two thumbs up.

Get away from it all, yet be one with nature
When we arrived we were literally greeted by about a dozen white-faced/capuchin monkeys as they made their way through the property! This was a beautiful and serene home base for our family (3 kids, 12 and under) to explore the Osa peninsula. You feel as though you are living outdoors in one of the most biodiverse places on the planet, yet you feel completely safe, secure and comfortable (A/C in bedrooms was key!). Walking distance to the beach, center of Puerto Jimenez, bars, restaurants and a grocery store. We all loved the outdoor living and lounging in the hammock -- the TV/DVD player were no match for the awesomeness of the environment. The kids roamed the safe grounds of la Choza del Manglar looking for monkeys, macaws and all the wildlife. Great communication with very friendly and helpful staff/owners who organized our excursions and gave us great insights about what to explore--all of which was spot on...and beyond. We will miss sipping our coffee on the the rooftop terrace looking. English is spoken. If you are looking for a home base to explore all that the peninsula has to offer and be one with nature...then this is the place for you.

It's always a great experience when we are able to reconnect with nature & Casa Manglar allows that to happen seamlessly.
