My time in Quinta de Santa Isabel is always wonderful and I keep coming back for more. The villa is located in Santo Estêvão, a medieval village near Spain and Chaves (where you can eat the famous "pastéis de Chaves", delicious meat pastry that will bring joy to your taste buds). So after visiting the village, on foot or by bike, after walking up the hill, passing through the "estações" (places where you can rest and think about life and nature), or just enjoying the quiet sounds of animal life around you, you can always go visit Chaves or the towns near the border.
Quinta de Santa Isabel is very beautiful, and all the appartments I've stayed in are decorated in a lovely and simple way. The open spaces are just right for children to go bike-riding, running, play soccer, or tennis (there is a tennis court). The beautiful scenery is inspiring, so if you are struggling with writer's block, it's the place to go!
I could go on forever, but you should try it for yourselves!
