myself and two friends booked casa golden for a belated 60th birthday get together..unfortunetly this villa did not live up to our expectations based on the reviews i based the booking on.....there were to many steps....the villa was very basic and dated......the pillows in all bedrooms were as flat as pancakes and of no use and there was no spares ....the balcony was tiny and no room to comfortably move in and out and the opening to it was about 12 inches in width which meant we had to go sideways down a large step which was uncomfortable and dangerous if carrying out any items .... the patio furniture was dated and in one corner there was a pile of rusted chairs ....while the owners were lovely to deal with i got the impression that they had not been on top of the condition of this villa for a couple of years and it was left to a management co ....

Amplio, limpio y bien acondicionado. Fuimos 4 adultos y 2 niños y estuvimos muy cómodos. La zona estaba muy tranquila. Con la playa cerca y el pueblo de Nerja que es un sitio con muchísimo encanto. Como único pero, y no es cosa de los dueños del alquiler. Nos paso que el primer día, entramos en la piscina comunitaria y el dueño del bar nos dio a entender que para bañarnos teníamos que consumir en su bar. Pero ya estaba allí el socorrista, que es un encanto de persona, que nos explicó que de eso nada. Que esa piscina es de la urbanización y no teníamos ni que entrar a la piscina por el bar. Lo pongo como aviso, por que el dueño del bar, nos pareció un poco "aprovechado"

The house is lovely, large and airy, with great mountain views from the terrace. The neighbourhood is peaceful and the urbanisation is small and attractive. It's 5 mins walk to the end of a long beach which is quiet, with a chiringuito bar (which was always closing just as we arrived). There are 2 other chiringuitos locally... The disadvantage of the property is that it's 30 mins walk from Nerja - there is also an appallingly unreliable bus service. The local shop is inadequate (unless you only eat crisps) never had milk, then ran out of cereal. Overall we had a lovely time and recommend the villa.

We have just had the pleasure of staying at Casa Golden. The villa was clean, tidy and well presented. The air-con and wifi were excellent for the kids especially after a day in the hot sun. Lovely views from the balcony. We would highly recommend this villa and would definitely come back again. Very friendly staff at the Tropicana bar and nice pool. The Balcon is a nice place to visit with plenty of bars and restaurants. The owners are very helpful and get back to you quickly with any concerns you have.

We stayed in Casa Golden for 1 week and really enjoyed the whole experience. The urbanization is about 3km outside of Nerja so if you're lazy, like we were, there is a very efficient bus service nearby (line 3 services the areas outside of Nerja). Some great restaurants in Nerja itself but if you want to stay local I would recommend Avalon which has really good food and super views...they could do with some hand rails going up though as it's quite exposed in places. The villa was perfect for our needs. Has a well equipped kitchen and the free WiFi kept our teens happy. I would suggest getting better pillows and some new mattresses for the single beds as they were not very comfortable. The pool area is very nice and the Tropicana Bar serviced our lunch and drinks needs perfectly. Overall I would recommend for sure!

Beautiful views and handy location for walks along beach into Nerja. House spacious, clean and comfortable. Great Aircon. Good comms with owners who were very helpful. thanks

This property I would have to say is one of the best villas on the Tropicana complex. Beautifully located with great views of the mountains and sea. We spent many happy nights out on the patio with the BBQ going and lots of fine Spanish wine. John the owner was amazing from start to finish. He delivered in my opinion a fantastic service. This villa I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing family holiday

Back in Britain wearing a big jumper and wishing I was lounging on the Casa Golden balcony sipping a (several) Mohito(s). I would recommend this beautiful villa to everyone. The luxury of finding a holiday home that feels spacious even with three teenagers in tow, is, frankly, unheard of, and yet, that is exactly what the villa offers. In fact, it's so good, we chose to BBQ on the roomy balcony on three nights. To be honest, you'd be hard pushed to find better views of Nerja in the most sort after restaurants in town. One gem to share, is the small Vilchez beach next to Larestinga restaurant. Ten minutes walk and full of locals rather than Brits - plenty of sunbeds too. The pool bar (part of the villa complex), offers a fabulous goat's cheese salad and some fun evening entertainment if you fancy embracing your inner Benidorm. Having said that, don't let this put you off because It's very low key if cabaret's not your thing. In fact, in the day, the pool area is very mixed in terms of nationality. We loved Villa Casa. The owners, John and Caroline, are so helpful that, even before you arrive, you can be certain of a brilliant stay.

We have spent a good days there, the service is so rapid and the personal was so kind. The place was so calm and relax. Hope return next time

Really enjoyed our week at Casa Golden. Very nice house, loads of room in a nice quiet location. Short walk to the great local beach which has some good restaurants. Took us about 50 minutes to stroll into Nerja along the beach.
