Hi all, This is a wonderful set of six separate, private and enclosed villas on a long property that extends deep in luscious rice fields and neighbours -Pandan plantations (plants used for offerings and and its rich, green colour is used in cakes). I have stayed in a few luxury locations in my time, but with respect to Bali, Khayangan has some lovely features I don't always find. Beautiful, good quality bath sheets, good quality 'white' linen and quality toiletry amenities. Breakfast is served each day in a large dining area within the location and all you need do is fill in your requirements the night before. Staff do a thoughtful job when they clean and tidy your room and also provide a turn down service which is another nice touch. I didn't need to use the wonderful outdoor bath as I was constantly in the pool or using the outdoor shower within the compound or the outdoor shower/bathroom within my room. Wayan and his staff are more than willing to service your requirements and happy to receive feedback, positive or constructive. As this is a new property (5 months old) it will be important for staff to keep a strict eye on maintenance. I would also suggest getting a satellite so that in in-room TV's can also pick up English speaking programmes (this is a must for international travellers who don't speak Indonesian). Another suggestion would be to move the furniture that is currently in the lounge room upstairs to the pool area. It really is only suitable as outdoor furniture. A large comfortable lounge suite and chairs would make the upstairs area a whole lot more usable. One last thing - as 'street view' has not been through Indonesia yet, google maps can be deceiving. Make sure you get clear instructions to find Khayangan, to avoid any delays and frustrations in enjoying the wonderful space that has been provided. Happy travels to all.
