Excellent Location!
This is a great house, with a fantastic location, overlooking the beach and right beside a golf course.
We were 2 families of 5, and had plenty of space. Everything worked and the house was really clean on arrival. I'd definitely recommend a stay here if you're visiting the area - which is well worth a visit!

A beautiful holiday home for a family group - highly recommended.
This is a wonderful holiday home - a spotlessly clean, comfortable and well-equipped house on a quiet road with a beautiful beach on the doorstep and a children's park nearby.The large walled garden at the back is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sunshine (which we had in abundance!), and Machrihanish is an excellent base for exploring the sites of Kintyre. There's a regular bus service from just across the road into Campbeltown.
The only downside was some confusion over booking dates. The Holiday Letting website is out of date re departure dates and times etc., perhaps because of changes necessitated by Covid rules. I recommend making sure you know exactly what you've booked and when you're due to leave, with confirmation of dates in writing.

Fantastic house in a perfect location .
We stayed at Craigmore East and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and spotless with a great kitchen and big back garden . We were a party of 6 but there was plenty of room for more people if needed. Macrihanish is very peaceful and the location of the house is literally across the road from a beautiful beach with fantastic views of the bay from the front windows . A gastro pub is literally 100m from the house so was great to pop over when too tired to cook . We had great weather and spent time on the beach , walking , fishing and surfing . We had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend this property.

No visit for us this time sadly...
Unfortunately we had to cancel our May booking with all the Co-vid restrictions in place just now.
The owner was wonderful and refunded every last penny to us. Much appreciated in such an uncertain time. So friendly and helpful despite their loss of our booking.
Will definitely consider this place when restrictions are lifted! Hopefully they'll be able to be back up and running as soon as possible!
So sorry to have not got to go on this holiday - never mind - next time!!

What a brilliant house!
My family and I were lucky enough to have the pleasure of staying at Craigmore East last week and enjoyed absolutely all it had to offer!
The booking procedure was very straightforward and we received detailed information on all aspects of the property well before our arrival. The house is virtually a stones throw from the wee beach while the views at the front of the house to the big beach, sea and hills are simply spectacular! There is plenty room for off road parking at the front and a spacious area of grass at the back of the house provides an ideal, safe play space for children, while the local public playpark is just mins walk away!
The house itself has a real welcoming feel to it and though the rooms are all large, a cosy atmosphere is maintained throughout. Everywhere is spotless and the many thoughtful touches give the place a homely, comfortable touch.
It is situated minutes walk from the world renowned Machrihanish Golf Club while the newer Machrihanish Dunes Club & and Southend Golf Club are both within 20 minutes drive. Round the corner from the house is an excellent bar and restaurant with further eating/entertainment options available just five miles away in Campbeltown.
Kintyre is a beautiful peninsula, steeped in history with scenery and wildlife second to none, stunning beaches, fabulous fish and wonderful whisky!
The very best place to sample all this is from Craigmore East @ Machrihanish!

Highly recommended
Craigmore East is spacious, homely and one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed. The house is right on the sea front with amazing views, wildlife and walks.
We stayed with our children and family friends this Summer and found it the perfect location. Machrihanish has a pub, hotel and a lovely park for the children to play in. Campbeltown is only a 5 minute drive for further amenities and the nearby Island of Gigha is definitely worth a visit.

Excellent property for the whole family or large group of golfers,walkers,cycleists etc.
Large five bed house that can take 10 with ease. The kitchen diner is huge and table large enough to seat 10 making it a great area to converse. The sandy beach is just over the road and there were 8 seals basking on the rocks at the beach. Great place for children as there is a large grass back garden to play on. Machrihanish golf course first tee is a minutes walk from the house and Machrihanish Dunes and Dunaverty courses are a short dive away. The Ugadale Hotel and their separate bar and restaurant are are just round the corner from the house if you want a drink or a meal. Great location to explore the Mull of Kintyre. Would recommend.

We were coming over to the wonderful town of Campbeltown for the Gintyre festival. We stayed at Allan’s house, Craigmore East along with my wife and two other couples, the house was spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable, it had a nice homely feel the moment we arrived.
I have booked the house already for an other visit and I’m sure we will be returning many times in the future
