Third River is connected to Lake Winnibigoshish (Lake Winnie), in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest. We are located seven miles from the Third River Flowage boat access on Lake Winnie. Excellent walleye, northern pike, crappie, sunfish and perch fishing is available. Waterfowl, grouse, white tail deer, bear and wild mushroom hunting is also very good in season. We also offer both summer and winter guided fishing adventures for an additional fee. We use a 20 foot Lund Alaskan boat powered by a 115 hp Yamaha out board motor for open water. The boat easily seats three anglers plus the guide. We then use a tracked- 700 Polaris Ranger with crew cab, to access area ice fishing lakes. This vehicle also easily seats three people, plus the guide. We offer both full and half day trips. Dark house spearing and angling shelters are available for hard water fishing.
