We checked in at the allowed time of 4:00pm and noticed we couldn't turn on the fireplace (first chilly evening of the month). It took 3 different people and 2 hours to finally take apart the unit (with a great deal of help from my husband) and light the pilot, so we missed our only chance to stroll the grounds. Needless to say by then it was time to get ready for dinner (which we could have skipped since I was then sick the whole night),
WE DID NOT PAY TO HAVE OUR TIME WASTED BY NON-FUNCTIONING EQUIPMENT AND INCOMPETANT STAFF!

Unhappy 🙁
We paid $100 for a fried Cx dinner!?!. The wait in line was horrible in the heat. Also the food was marginal at best. The chef tried to help and he did. He was very helpful . But the wine was $89. A 400 percent markup !?! I was happy w the accommodations. Also Kyle was available & helpful.

Great Family Retreat
We had our family reunion here. The facilities were first class. Chef Dan made amazing food. The spa was awesome. The pool area was super comfortable and had steam, sauna and hot tub.
With all the amenities , the best part was the staff. They really worked hard at meeting everyone’s needs.

Perfect retreat spot for 20+ professionals
I've hosted two retreats at THSF, May 2023 and May 2024, both for groups of around 20 leaders from software companies. I could not think of a better place for these events. The staff is phenomenal, the food among the best I've had anywhere, the meeting facilities are just what we needed, and the houses and rooms are perfect for our group.
Planning the events with the farm staff was easy, and the attention we received while on property was fantastic. Great location for a company or group retreat.

Top Notch Experience
My husband & I stayed here to celebrate our Anniversary. From start to end the experienced was above & beyond. We stayed in the Salon Spa Moon loft. The room was beautiful & communal space was very inviting. The grounds themselves were lovely with the most beautiful sunsets to see. We ate at the Silo Restaurant for dinner & brunch and cannot speak highly enough of how wonderful the food & service was. Tina the bartender was a gem who took care of us. We had a couples massage, highly recommended if you are willing to splurge. The attention to detail that goes into staying here is well noted. You will not be disappointed if you stay here & are looking for a unique experience compared to a boring hotel. My biggest regret was not packing a swimsuit to enjoy the outdoor pool! Thank you to the Horse Shoe Farm for a wonderful stay!

It is beautiful spot but does not live up to expectations
This is our second stay we made the mistake of going back. It gets worse each time. Booked the Hilltop Cottage this time at a very high rate. The pictures on the website are deceiving because this is just a really old house that has not been renovated. Old painted cabinets in kitchen, chipped clawfoot bathtup in the upstairs non renovated bath that has a lousy showerhead with no pressure. The hot water broke and they had to send maintenance to fix it. They came quickly though and resolved it. Previous guests had left a can full of trash outside the cottage which was not cleared before we arrived. So the next day, the racoons had got to it and made a mess on the driveway. The hot tub at the pool said "closed for seasonal maintenance". On a holiday weekend?!?!? This was one of the things we looked forward to. The "breakfast" is so minimal and offerings decreased over our time there. Quiche served on the first day but not on the second. Only hard boiled eggs, biscuits, some cold offerings. Staff at the breakfast were very unfriendly when we asked about hot food. It is also very odd that the restaurant (which is quite good) and the spa (which is very average) are totally not connected to your stay so you have to carry a credit card with you to pay for meals and spa services. It is a truly beautiful property though and such a disappointment that they have not figured out how to create a top notch experience for guests.

Amazing experience even for a local
Not only is the scenery spectacular but the accommodations were also great. Dinner at the restaurant was creative and delicious and my reflexology foot treatment was the most relaxing while staring out across the property. As a local I was happy to learn that they appreciate locals and, at times, offer deals. Will definitely return.

The kind of place that makes you never want to leave!
We spent almost a week on the farm for a company offsite and it was nothing short of amazing. The property itself is just wonderful and then you add in the incredible staff and it makes you never want to leave.
Everyone was friendly, accommodating and lovely. We do these trips as a company every year and it’s been the best one yet. The staff helped us setup a fun pasta making night, a sound bath, and also helped us figure out transportation options and more.
The chef on property is also so great! Each meal got better and better.
We cannot wait to go back!

Always Amazing
I can't say enough wonderful words about the farm and my stay. This is my 3rd time and absolutely love it. The suites, spa, food and attention to detals is amazing. The staff and owners make you feel so welcomed. Once you get on property it's so very hard to leave. Looking forward to my next stay.

A Picturesque and very well appointed, with excellent food.
Wonderful property with all of the amenities that you need. Spa, pool, sauna, great games and play room, chickens, horses, and a picturesque farm setting.
We stayed in a cottage, very cozy with a fireplace and full kitchen. Did not use this, the food and service on property is amazing, be sure to have dinner...
