The Horse Shoe Farm (THSF) was the perfect getaway for me and my family. I was taking time to myself and enjoying a few nights away to focus on self care. I started at the Stable Spa Lofts, then transferred to the Meadow Cottage when my family came up to the farm for the weekend. Johnny (wife Cathy was out of town), Jordan and Rachel Turchin, the owners who live on the farm, were incredible. They made me feel like family from the moment I first met them. Taylor and Tyler were also kind and attentive to our every need. To know everyone’s names within the first day I was there, shows the great value the Truchins and other employees of THSF place on their guests. I spent three nights in the Stable Spa Lofts which was an individual cozy room with a unique community living experience. The room had the most comfortable bed/linens and beautiful views of the horses and mountains. The sunset view from the loft is breathtaking. The spa itself is lovely - a converted barn, both quiet and relaxing, The environment was calm and peaceful, and my deep tissue massage one of the best I've experienced. I transferred to the Meadow Cottage when our boys came up for the weekend with our two year old Boykin Spaniel. We love the dog-friendly environment! She would join me in the main lodge while I worked. And she would sit at my feet for hours while taking in all the guests and delicious smells coming from the kitchen. She stayed in her kennel at the house, but loved her early morning runs off leash to get her energy out. Our boys are ages 7, 9 and 10. They were in HEAVEN at THSF. The freedom to roam the farm was a fun reminder of the way my husband and I grew up - with both the freedom and the safety to explore. They boys became fast friends with other children staying at the farm. Massive games of hide & seek and tag were never-ending. Tracy let the boys hold and play with the baby chicks and ducks. Chickens roamed free and my 7 year old takes pride in being the only brother to catch one by hand. The Labyrinth (hand created by Jordan) was a treat to run out some energy - with spectacular views of the sunset and farm. The FarmHouse was also a big hit with my boys. Other children and families gathered here for arts and crafts, pool, pingpong, air hockey, a true record player with records and more sports equipment than I knew what to do with. And how could I forget the hot tub and pool! It was in the low 40s, but that did not stop my boys from jumping in the pool and running back to us in the hot tub. It was a memory I will always treasure. Meadow Cottage, a three bedroom-two bath house, was the first house on the property. Ironically, I sat at dinner with the owners of Broad River Cattle Farm - the local beef and pork supplier for the Silo Cookhouse. His grandparent's lived in the Meadow Cottage and first owned the farm. The house was charming. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the kitchen with my mom on a rainy day and loved playing cards, watching tv and reading during the few hours of inclement weather. The Silo Cookhouse - goodness, there are not enough positive things to say. Chef Dan is a gem. Although I did not meet Chef Kyle, I enjoyed his morning freshly baked breads and evening deserts. Because I was on the property Wednesday-Sunday, I ate at this restaurant every evening and worked my way through the menu. The pasta and breads were all made by hand. Chef Dan even allowed my son to help him make gnocchi one afternoon. The menus options were all locally sourced or grown on the farm. The mushrooms - oyster mushrooms at the time - were the best mushrooms I've ever eaten. I enjoyed the mushroom risotto one evening and the gnocchi and mushrooms another evening. The steak from Broad River Cattle Farm was exquisite - I ordered the steak before realizing the owners of Broad River Cattle Farm were dining right next to me. And the chicken - trust me on this - ORDER THE CHICKEN! The flavor was beyond any chicken dish I have ever eaten. Bravo, Chef Dan. The long tables provided an instant-community amongst the patrons. This was unusual for me. I have always dined with friends or family at a private table. However, I must say, the seating allowed for people to meet and mingle in a way I never would have anticipated. We made friends with couples and groups - and sometimes, even passed food to others who needed to "just try this" - along with tasty bottles of wine we chose to share and compare. The instant connections and lasting friendships you can make when set outside your comfort zone are remarkable. And I cannot talk about THSF without praising Rick, the director of food and beverage. Rick's extensive experience in food and wine was evident in all he said and did. He was a pillar to the dining experience - always helping me find the best wine pairing for my meal. He was accommodating and so friendly to our three boys and managed his wonderful staff so well. He was charming and made our dining experience pleasant. Run, don’t walk, to THSF. It is a cozy, inviting resort will make you feel the sense of peace and belonging the moment you enter the farm.

My boyfriend and celebrated our anniversary at The Horse Shoe Farm. The experience exceeded our every expectation. We stayed in The Field Cottage (not a cottage). it was pure luxury! The detailed welcome emails we received upon booking, made finding and entering the secluded accommodation a breeze. It was spotless clean and outfitted with every last item we could want or need. Even in-unity washer and dryer! Supplies for making s’mores in the fire pit on the patio! Our morning walks to The Silo for the breakfast included with our stay were romantic and peaceful. I can’t say enough about the amenities. Take the tour of the property, as there is so much to see. Fully stocked game room with everything from paints to pool table, a yoga studio, a gorgeous pool and club house. The epic sunsets over the Blue Ridge Mountains are truly one-of-a-kind. None of the pictures we took will ever do this place justice. Deep tissue massage at The Stable Spa with Dan is not to be missed! They call it The Stable Spa because it is just that… a stable converted into a luxury spa. How cool! To say we enjoyed our trip would be a great understatement. We are already looking for an excuse to return!

For those of you looking for a relaxing and restoring break in a magnificent location, you will not find a more tranquil respite than that offered by The Horse Shoe Farm, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The location is easily accessible by plane or car and a stay is very reasonably priced. Nestled within a beautifully landscaped compound, The Horse Shoe Farm offers gourmet dinning, spa treatments, an entertainment center, and various other amenities, such as swimming, canoeing, walking trails, etc. The residences are nicely maintained, fully equipped, and featured bedding that provided a great night's sleep. The hosts are congenial, hands on, and determined to make your stay memorable.

My husband & I stayed in the Lilly Cottage for 5 days. It was perfect. Very clean, quiet, comfortable & peaceful. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook. Horseshoe Farms is now one of our favorite places now to stay. The scenery was beautiful with the rolling hills of North Carolina, a few animals (horses, goats, chickens) were on the property. There was a huge & beautiful Silo house where you had breakfast. The continental breakfast was fine. My husband had a massage by Dan & he said it it was such a fantastic experience he booked one for me right after his. Dan did a great job & both of us commented that Dan listened to our preferences & gave us a massage that was truly relaxing for us. I highly recommend Dan. We did not partake of the farm to table dinner, but the reports at breakfast the next day were very positive. A big thank you to Tyler, one of the employees of the farm who drove us all over the property in our own car, since it would have been too much to walk for us. Then we got a nail in one of our tires & once again it was Tyler to the rescue. He got a necessary part & then fixed the tire for us. I have a feeling that Horse Shoe Farm employees are always willing to go that extra mile to make sure you are very well taken care of while there. We ate mostly in Hendersonville & it was an easy drive to a few good restaurants. We will definitely go back. There is no downside to staying here.

The Horse Shoe Farm was the perfect place for our family reunion. Three generations gathered for a long weekend and took full advantage of all that The Farm has to offer.....a private cottage for each family with all the amenities, delicious meals served family style in the Silo Cookhouse, a patio with firepit where we gathered each evening talking, reminiscing and making S'mores. We walked the paths that wander throughout the farm, hung out at The Farmhouse where you could play just about any game imaginable and joined Jordan for a tour of the barn to meet all the farm animals. Jordan, Rick, our chef Shane and all of the staff were perfect hosts and made us feel most welcome. A beautiful, tranquil setting with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.....so many new memories made.....a perfect place for our family reunion.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at The Horse Shoe Farm. From the 5 star beds, heated pool, best massage of my life, and fine dining. An amazing place for couples or families. I also was overjoyed by the number of kid activities in the area. Highly recommend.

We had a large family reunion at The Horse Shoe Farm - the staff was excellent. Special thanks to Jordan working with us as we planned this over 13-14 months. We included meals in our plan, the chef knocked it out of the park. The servers were attentive, friendly and awesome at accommodating our food preferences and allergies. There was plenty of room for us to all be together and to break off into smaller groups for catching up. I want to go back soon and I think a few of us just want to move there.

The Horse Shoe Farm provided us with an incredible experience for our destination wedding! The level of service and thought that the farm puts into every detail of stay was outstanding. I would recommend this farm to everyone for any occasion. The chefs made excellent local dishes that provided our family with the best food we have ever eaten. Our wonderful experience can not be put into words. Rachel is amazing at what she does and made our dreams a reality. Every part of the farm is beautiful and unique in its own way and is a place that must be seen to understand how incredible it is. Thank you again!

The Horse Shoe Farm is the find of the century! An absolute gem. We loved every single thing about it! Even when it's fully booked you feel like the only ones there. We've been several times and WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We enjoy every single thing from the breakfast to the bonfires to the recreational room to the swings to the animals...ALL of it. It is so special. So enchanting. Do not hesitate. 5 stars all the way!

We had an excellent stay. Truly a highlight of our travels. All staff were super helpful and friendly. The properties are impeccable, stylish and home from home comfort. Fantastic location for Biltmore Estate visit, surrounding countryside and quant towns. Highly recommend.
