Well appointed (and warm) cottage in a beautiful location. The lovely owner has obviously put much thought and effort into modernising in a sensitive way. Very welcoming and comfortable, shame it is closing.

Heatherlea is a lovely cottage close to the sea and provides everything you need for your stay. The host also left a wonderful welcome pack. Will definitely visit again.

We stayed at Heatherlea for a week. Check in was super easy, thanks to Fiona's straightforward and thoughtful communication. The cottage was clean and well appointed, and the welcome goodies were very welcomed! Fiona was a great host - the perfect mix of invisible and available, and the location was gorgeous. If you like coffee, there's a great cafe / roaster just up the road.

Another wonderful stay in this comfortable cottage. Fiona provided us with an array of treats and basics, many thanks. It’s a very well located cottage. We love the walking straight from the cottage either to the shore line, the river or around the country lanes. The very light evenings, the bird life, the butterflies and the wild flowers in the hedgerows made our visit extra special. We were reluctant to leave and will be back… and one day we’ll see a dolphin!

We loved this cottage. It's warm, comfortable and very well equipped. The welcome pack was more than generous. Fiona, our host, who lives next door, was friendly, very helpful and responsive to our requests. It was a pleasure to meet her and her mother. It's situated between the two villages. There are many walks directly from the cottage. We explored the coastal paths on the Moray coast and enjoyed all the spectacular and varied views of the river, the sea, cliffs, beaches, fields, rocks and seals. We saw many seabirds, alas no dolphins. And after a long walk the huge bath was a delight with endless hot water. We had a sunny mild week and spent most of our time outside.

We had a lovely stay at Heatherlea. Immaculately clean and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Additional wipes, sanitizers etc made us feel extremely safe and looked after. We spent our days walking, BBQ’s on the beach watching dolphins and ospreys and popping a log on the wood burner in the evening. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

Fantástica casa rural en la Costa de Moray. Pintoresca zona y hospitalidad increíble. A la casa no le falta detalle. Muy cerca de la playa y a una hora de Aviemore e Inverness. En un par de días, hemos visto delfines, focas y comido huevos de corral de una casa cercana. Muy agradable la dueña. Ideal con niños. Ya están preguntando que cuando volverán

HeatherLea cottage was the perfect location for our weeks holiday. Five minutes walk to the pebble beach, ten minutes to Garmouth and a short drive to other amenities and Elgin town centre. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and the owner was lovely and friendly and left us the most amazing welcome pack on arrival. We would highly recommend the cottage, perfect for a family of four and our dog and we will definitely be visiting again!

Heatherlea is a lovely cottage full of character. Superb views across to Spey Bay. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a great holiday. The owner Fiona is very friendly and helpful and provides a very generous welcome pack! The cottage also has an amazing bath and efficient shower! The location is good for a peaceful and relaxing holiday but also a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Hope to return to Heatherlea sometime soon.
