In complete shock, unprofessional
I’m at a complete shock with the supposed owners of this property. I booked this property using booking.com about 2 months before my trip only to receive a message from the manager 2 weeks before my scheduled trip that the reservations had been cancelled because the owner has rented the home for 6 months. Initially when I made the reservation I got a whatsapp call from the manager asking that a deposit had to be paid. I told the manager that on booking.com there was no mention of a deposit and that I would follow the instructions on Booking.com the person even requested that I pay with cash so they could avoid the fees imposed by the application. The owner is irresponsible and unprofessional. As an owner of many businesses, property’s and a world traveler i am surprised at the poor quality and decisions these people have made. After making an entire schedule around this booking for my sons first birthday I now have two weeks to re organize and plan everything. It sounds like the owners are scrapping for money. Unacceptable.

ESPECTACULAR OLÍ MAR
Olimar is a wonderful place to be specially in morning when you just listen to ocean and birds ! I truly enjoyed my stay and definitely highly recommend it !

Beautiful house to spend with the family
This is my second year in a row that I rent this house to spend new years eve. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The view to Nacascolo Bay is breathtaking. The help of Eliezer, the local guy is much appreciated. The most that I like is to be able to be close town. , but far enough to be quite and enjoy nature., the house is full equipped,, so I recommend a nice barbecue. The nights at the house are amazing since you can watch the millions of starts in the dark sky. I Truly recommend it!!!

Preciosa vista
La casa esta ubicada en un lugar con una vista preciosa hacia el mar, es muy bonita, grande, rodeada de muchos arboles que permiten sentir la naturaleza.Esta cerca del Cristo y de los restaurantes cerca de San Juan del Sur.

Beautiful and Quiet
The home was gorgeous and spacious. The view was breathtaking and the pool is a great addition. We spent Thanksgiving week and we were sad to leave. Eliezer (the care taker) is amazing. We really appreciated all of his help and information. He speaks fluent English which was helpful to my in-laws. Although I speak Spanish, it was nice to pick his brain as far as local restaurants and things to do. We had his friend Feliz come over to cook twice and she was awesome too. You tell her what you want and she will buy everything and bring her receipts for the food and you give her extra for her time. Tips- Make sure you get a 4X4 to get up and down the hills-there is a beautiful view because you are up on the mountains. The home is equipped with all of the housewares you will need but make sure you bring all of your toiletries and ask Eliezer for extra towels if you need them. You are given a max amount electricity you will be allowed to use. We did not go over but we also only used the AC while we slept. The home has fans in the living area but no AC through out-this is why the pool is helpful-we just jumped in to cool off when needed.

Awesome Place And Great Staff!!!
I went with 4 friends and everything was up to our standard and plus some. Eliezer our "cuidador" went above and beyond to help us get everything we needed. He helped us with all our travel needs and everything he scheduled was right on time and exactly as he explained. The Chef was amazing and cooked us a great breakfast and even better dinner! I definitely recommend her. All the pictures show exactly how the place looks and doesn't really do it any justice. I will recommend this vacation rental to everyone. This is a Vacation Rental Experience! You will not be disappointed.

A paradisiac week in great place
We had no idea what to expect from Nicaragua...last time we heard about this country, they were fighting each other... Well, it is peaceful, safe, absolutely magnificent and "authentic" I imagine toursim in Europe in the 70's like this. The beaches are the best (Hermosa, Madeiras, Mayagual), the food is fresh, healthy, tasty and cheap, and you won't ruin yourself drinking maragaritas ... Casa Olimar is as good as it gets... Amazing view, great comfort... Even if it is super warm, there is always a gently breeze that allows you to stay outside on the terrace. The people that you can hire during your stay (Felicita that cooks, and Byron that drives) are the most delightful, helpful and welcoming people. You will ove tour stay there!

The view you've dreamed of.
We stayed here for 5 nights with my 2 teenage daughters. Wow. We came in at night so we weren't able to see the view but the house itself is something to see. Luxury and nicer than any house we've ever stayed in. Treat yourself to the lounge chair outside at night to take a look at the stars. Wow! How beautiful. Waking up in the morning was....wow. What a view. Words can't explain it. We had Felicity cook for us 2 days and OMG...she is fantastic and very affordable. We had a traditional Nicaraguan breakfast with gallo pinto. Ask her to make so pico de gallo too. Elizar (the caretaker) was incredible also. Very, very helpful. Personable, easy to communicate with and just a general nice guy. He's got a lot of great ideas of things to do while you're there. We had the driver pick us up at the airport as well and YES I'd do that again. It would be difficult to navigate at night and we've driven in other countries before. I'd go back again in a second and will!

The tranquility of paradise!
We looked at literally 40 homes online. We finally chose Casa Olimar with no regrets. Norm and the owner was responsive and helpful. Eliezer the caretaker was kind and helpful. San Juan del Sur is hoping but the house is quiet and private. The view is emblazoned in my mind forever. The slow days and breeze at night made this a family trip we will cherish. You do need 4 wheel drive and automatic unless your accustom to standard. Just a perfect location!
