The perfect home for your family vacation!
Enjoy this beautiful beach home, just a few steps from the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head Island. 14 Bittern is located in the North Forest Beach neighborhood, 5th row from the ocean and just a short walk to Coligny Plaza’s shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Enjoy the front screened porch in the morning for coffee or evening for a glass of wine. The large back deck overlooks the 23 x 12' pool below. There are a propane grill and seating on the back deck for at least 8. Spend time relaxing in the sun on the large pool deck. Just off the pool deck, you can enjoy the air-conditioned game room with a ping pong table and seating.
As you enter the home you will walk into the spacious living room with a flat-screen TV, plenty of seating, and hi...

Be close to everything at Bittern
We really enjoyed our stay at Bittern Street. The proximity to the beach was awesome. Very easy to get to and from the beach everyday. Coligny Circle was a stone's throw away and we walked up there every night and enjoyed the shopping, dining and especially the ice cream. We would definately rent this home again.

Location. location, location
Great vacation, the house right in the middle of everything and that is the key. Some minor gliches with the house but all in all it was great.

Loved the location, small issues with bugs
We loved this house and its location. The bedrooms were perfect our our group. Two Grandmas had their own 1st floor bedrooms with connected private bathroom. The adult children were upstairs. The pool was private from the street and very much enjoyed. We had a little trouble with Palmetto bugs, but the exterminator was quickly on the scene to spray. We had two older ladies with us so the stairs up to the living area of the house were a bit much but we managed. Very nicely decorated and maintained home.

Location...Location ...Location !!!
Great house, perfect family home ! Perfect location !! Kids , adults loved the pool . 10 people with us , we were very comfortable . Beach is a short walk , Tiki Hut too ! Coligny shops etc was a short walk / bike ride as well .Park your car as soon as you arrive - we even rode our bikes to South Beach and Harbortown ! This location was absolutely perfect - Beachside Rentals were wonderful to deal with . Would def recommend to others .

Perfect location
2 minute walk to coligny plaza and 1 minute walk to the beach.Excellent place for a big group as it has lots of beds and amazing outdoor spaces to hang out.

The Nine of Us -:- Morgantown
Not really what I expected for the money.
This was our first rental of a beach house. We previously stayed at the Seacrest Villas next door but wanted to try something different. Upon our arrival, we were disappointed in the housekeeping efforts. The kitchen counters were not wiped down and the floors were sandy. The pool looked like it hadn't been swept for a week or more. When getting ready for bed, we discovered there were no blankets on the beds so we washed all the comforters. We had the exterminator come while there because there were thousands of ants crawling up the side of the house. Not at all what I was expecting for the money we paid. Will be going back to the villas next time.

Great Stay in Hilton Head for a good deal
The service we received from Beachside Getaway was excellent. Love the keypad lock. We enjoyed the home and the location is awesome!! Love being so close to Coligny, the kids biked there every day! Beds were comfortable and a/c worked well. Nice parking. Kids enjoyed the ping pong. Nice washer/dryer, too!
We only had a few issues; the pool is way too shaded, and therefore, "buggy". The trees need to be trimmed desperately. None of the kids swam in the pool b/c it was almost always in the shade and the trees almost hang in it. Normally, their favorite place to be is in the pool. Another issue is the ice machine in refrigerator. Did not work hardly at all.
Okay, one other issue, we could tell this house only has a cursory cleaning every week. Under the beds upstairs was very dusty and sandy. I am sort of a neat freak and that kind of grossed me out.

Very relaxing and convenient
Nice home, needs some updating , kitchen utensils, pots and pans, dishes etc... Very disorganized and bad. Trees should be trimmed around pool, it stays leafy. Loved the location and the chairs in the livingroom.

A great time with family.
14 Bittern was very accommodating for our family vacation. We had ample space for everything...bedrooms, bathrooms, as well as living space. The location is about as good as it gets! I have previously rented 3 other properties (not from Beachside Getaway) and there were issues with each one, but there were none with14 Bittern and Beachside Getaway. Everyone I spoke to at Beachside were always very helpful and courteous. The only complaints I had, which were very minor...one of the half baths did not look like it had been cleaned as well as the others, but it wasn't horrible. The biggest complaint, which really didn't affect our week at all was the pool. It is placed under a lot of trees and therefore it is hard to keep clean or to keep the bugs away, but as I stated it really did not affect the stay at all. Overall 14 Bittern is a great house in an excellent location and Beachside Getaway is a wonderful company to rent from.

Summer Fun
Service was great. Home was nice and location great. There needs to be a few larger pans for cooking. There was not a pot large enough to cook spaghetti. Otherwise well equipted
