Pilot Cottage dates back to the days of sail when it is thought to have been the pilot's lookout. It has been completely modernised to Tourist Board 4 Star standards by the present owners to provide 21st century living for up to four persons. It has a luxury fitted kitchen/diner, spacious lounge,a modern bathroom with large step-in shower and three bedrooms, one double and and two singles all on the ground floor. Off street parking is just outside your front door. Due to the size of interior doors it is not suitable for wheelchair use within the property but would suit those who use a walking frame when indoors. Night storage heating is free November to March; if required at other times, it is charged at £35 per week. We offer an optional end of stay "pack up and go" cleaning servi...

Lovely stay
Pilot. Cottage has a fantastic location with parking which is a real bonus in exmouth. Lovely kitchen and bathroom,although no bath, which was interesting for my 1 and 2 year old. We really liked the space as did our little ones, and despite the double bed being VERY soft, a bit uncomfortable, we have booked already again for next year.

Excellent location for both beach and town
This is our second year in this property and we would have no hesitation in re-booking. The owners are very pleasant & welcoming

Great value for off-season break for the over 55's!
For the past ten years or so my wife Patricia and and I have made an out of season, usually November, trip to Exmouth, enjoying the quiet luxury of in independant stay at Pilot Cottage. Special rates for one couple, over 55 ( we sure are!!) in this part of the year make it possible for us to relax and enjoy the Exe estuary, Exmouth beaches, the coast along to Budleigh, excursions down to Plymouth etc, taking any rough weather in our stride. Mr and Mrs Woods are the most welcoming of owners, helpful when needed but otherwise invisble.

a hideaway home from home
My wife and I have stayed at Pilot cottage 4 or 5 times.It is situated right in the heart of Exmouth overlooking the estuary and within a few minutes walk of the quay,town and all amenities,Roomy,yet cosy,comfortable with all mod cons(including a large fridge freezer and dishwasher ),parking space right next to the cottage,clean,and light,everything you could want in a self catering holiday.Just came back home today and already booked for 2 weeks next April.The owners are very friendly,helpful and always available if you should need them.

A comfortable cottage where you can relax close to the sea
My Husband, disabled Mother, friend and I have stayed here on numerous occasions and have recommended it to friends as a place where you can relax in comfort with a modern, well equipped, spacious kitchen. The owners are obliging, friendly and obviously try to cater for people in general.

Top class accommodation
A very clean comfortable maisonette to stay in. Marvelous kitchen, you can see the sea from the window, plus all mod cons Car park space provided. Short walk to the town and buses. Would highly recommend this property.

All the comforts of home and the seaside on your doorstep.
From the two car space parking on the doorstep to the bright and sunny kitchen Pilot Cottage lived up to our expectations. The cottage is very well equipped throughout, with even a wheel chair to borrow if you require one. Just ask the owners, who really have, we think, thought of everything.
There is now a new double bed which is firm and very comfortable.
We found having the town a short walk away, and the seafront, harbour and marina just across the road, an added bonus for the family members who could not walk too far.
One point made by the fisherman in our party was that the freezer was big enough to keep any fish caught until you go home.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and look forward to coming back.

Great location
Clean and in a great spot for getting anywhere. Close to train and bus stations, only a short ride to Exeter, train ride to Plymouth, and lovely walks around exmouth. Good shower room, lovely kitchen and spacious all round.

Extreme comfort seconds from the sea and lovely beach - what more could you want?
Comfortable and warm accommodation seconds from the sea. Well equipped kitchen, nice lounge comfortable bedrooms and good size bathroom with a fantastic shower! Very central and great access to public transport. Perfect for walking and accessing the beach. Perfect for many age groups to have a great holiday.

Great accommodation in great location
We stay at Pilot Cottage every year. It is in a perfect location, close to both the seafront and town centre. Local pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance. Good accommodation, good well-equipped kitchen, allocated parking space; everything you could need.
