What more could you want….
We are staying in Y wyddfa cottage (a lovely 3 bed 2 bathroom cottage) with our two grandsons 5 and 7 at Cerrig y Barcud holiday cottages during October half term. After a 300 mile journey we were greeted by the very lovely Anne Marie who was not phased by the boys emerging the car like two little banshees..😬 The cottage is beautifully maintained and has everything we need.We have stunning views and the boys love being next to the games room and being able to feed the goats.. There is so much to do and see in the vicinity that there hasn’t been a dull moment. Having a food delivery to the cottage on the Saturday night was so useful, but there are supermarkets a few miles away in Bangor. The boys love it so much that they asked if they could come here again and so it looks like we will be coming back July 2024 as well. This is not just a beautiful place for children though… We as a couple would definitely come back as I had forgotten how absolutely beautiful Anglesey is and without the boys, it would be a fantastically relaxing break.😬 .. but without doubt it is the genuine warmth that Anne Marie and Matthew exude that make these holiday cottages a very special place to stay…

Lovely relaxing cottages
We have been to this place 3 time so far in 2 different cottages. they are all of a very good standard and the hosts Annemarie & Matthew make you feel welcome. The place is immaculate and welcoming. I will return again.

Relaxing break in lovely cottage
Annemarie & Matthew made us feel very welcome at there holiday cottages we had a lovely 3 bedroom one which was very well maintained and spotless it was well worth the drive from Glasgow to Angelsay we hope to get back again sometime .

Perfect base to explore Anglesey and Snowdonia
Spacious house for our family which included 3 boys, two of which are teenagers. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for all our needs. The wifi was a bonus for the boys! hope we didn't hammer it too much! The dvd collection in the games room was also a bonus, movie nights after our busy days out.Quiet location which is a 5 min walk to Menai straights with amazing views over to Snowdonia and down the Llyn peninsula.Close enough to Menai bridge to travel into Snowdonia too. Anglesey beaches are beautiful.
A definite thumbs up from us, we had the best holiday

A fantastic Easter break in a lovely cottage.
This was our second visit because we love these cottages!!!!!
Ann Marie and Mathew are so friendly and the cottages are extremely well provisioned with everything we needed.
The facilities are excellent and our children loved the ponies, play area and playing table tennis. The little touches like princess bedding for the girls, football for the boy and the pre assembled travel cot for the baby just made it all the more special.
The only thing that stops us from visiting these cottages more often is that our family (who we are up from London to see) live in Llanrug and it's a bit of a trek between the two places late at night with the kids.
We would highly recommend these cottages to anyone; couples, families or going solo as they are truly lovely!!

A wonderful week - enjoyed by the whole family!
We have stayed in Yr Wyddfa a number of times and always have a great holiday. The cottage is very comfortable and we feel relaxed from the moment we arrive. There is plenty to do in the area and we enjoy lots of fun days out. We also love relaxing at the cottage. The children really enjoy playing out with friends new & old and love spending time with the animals. Matthew, Annmarie and their children are very welcoming. It is like going on holiday and meeting up with old friends.

Fantastic cottage with excellent facilties
We have stayed at this wonderful cottage 3 times and have already booked 2 more breaks we love it so much! The cottage is brilliant for our family to have a relaxing holiday. The kitchen has everything you need to cook proper meals, the beds are very comfortable and we all love the reclining sofas! The cottage is very quiet and it is easy to maintain a temperature to suit you.
Our children have ranged in ages from 2 - 6 during our visits and it has been perfect for us everytime The playground is right outside the cottage door along with the animals. My children adore feeding the animals each morning. There are lots of attractions to visit within an easy drive.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating, sorting us out with extra highchairs and bed guards for our twins. I would recommend this cottage without hesitation.

Perfect Holiday Accommodtion
Lovely cottage, comfortable, clean, cosy and warm with everything you could wish for from a holiday home. Just a short walk from the Menai Straits with fabulous views across to Snowdonia and a short drive to Newborough Beach and Llandwyn Island. Anne-Marie and Matthew are the perfect hosts - so why would you want to stay anywhere else. We have already booked to come back later in the year.
