We had a great stay at this property. Everything was decorated nicely and it was very clean. The owners were very responsive and nice to work with. The location to the beach was perfect however it was about a 20 minute drive from anything else. The house could use some updates. For example, the couch was falling apart and very uncomfortable. The master shower and sink were slow to drain, the master bathroom door doesn't shut, and there was tape covering cracks on the floor. But overall, a very nice stay.

This beach house was more than enough for my small family and pets we had! The hosts were amazing from the booking to the checking out process! The walk to the beach really is just a couple of mins and the view really is breathtaking! This home was amazing and will definitely be a place we will stay at again.

Not as nice as the photos. There is quite a bit of wear and tear on the place. It was as adequate but not “nice.” The couch was broken, the garage as you pull up to the house was rusted, and there was lots of black electrical tape on the floor tiles. Also, the microwave looked like it had a fire in it and was slanted in the wall. The fridge was missing the bottom shelf.
I will say the beds were comfortable and the location was great. Just don’t expect too much.

The house is in a fine location, not far from Galveston proper and a short walk to the beach. Checkin was easy and communicated well. The photos are definitely much older after the initial renovation. Upon arrival, the window blinds in the front door were busted and looked like someone had broken in. Every other wall panel had signs of water/warped. The flooring throughout felt spongy and the house swayed whenever anyone walked around anywhere, especially if they were climbing the stairs to the deck. The beds were mostly broken on their middle support beams causing our group to funnel to the middle of their mattresses. The couch was broken on both arms and not comfortable at all. The living room was not near big enough to host 16 people the house claims to sleep. Bathrooms were clean but dated and 16 people sharing two bathrooms is quite a lot. The outdoor shower head was broken making it very difficult to rinse the salt and sand off from the beach. The kitchen was missing some essentials that were listed as provided. Overall, the management company provided a clean but dated home that needs an overhaul. Would not rent again for the price point.

We loved the location - steps away from the beach! It was especially great since we had little kids, so going back to the house for forgotten beach items or bathroom breaks or naps was zero hassle. The layout was great and worked really well for two families with kids - two main bedrooms for parents and each set of kids could have their own rooms.
The one caveat is that there was an ant problem in the kitchen. We took a lot of care to keep food wrapped up and out of the way, but it got pretty old seeing creepy crawlies all over the counter whenever we looked. I realize that ants and bugs are a fact of life and it's hard when you can't control what guests do with their food, but this was pretty gross. I think there could be some mitigation taken to help at least. The place was really great in every other way!

We loved having a very short walk to the beach without crossing any highways. The property manager communicated with us very quickly. It looked like the exterior has recently been painted. The deck/house needs a few minor repairs.

Great location - steps to beach. Nice layout. Unfortu nately, we like to cook family dinners and the kitchen was very poorly stocked just a few old pots & pans. Beds worked fine but felt more like sleeper sofa mattresses.
Could only get 1 of the 2 TVs to work on the Roku app download - which was required if you wanted to watch TV.
Property manager was very responsive and god with communication.

The location on a very quiet stretch of Jamaica Beach was amazing. The kids were able to walk down the short drive to the beach and were usually the only ones there. The house backs up to the main road, and you could hear a little bit of road noise but nothing terribly bothersome.
The main living and dining area is pretty small for a house that sleeps so many people. We had a party of only 7 and it still felt tight except when everyone was in the bedrooms. The master area upstairs is huge though!
Plenty of clean linens were provided (even with six teenage girls!). Laundry detergent and liquid dish soap were available, but we could not locate the dishwasher tabs to run it as we departed.
Photos on the listing are probably a little out of date. The house is very cute but needs some freshening up--cracked tiles, worn out door jam, spongy wood floors, and a couch that is barely functional at this point. It does look like it has new blinds and outdoor furniture though.
There were a few minor issues as far as cleaning. Previous occupants had left clothes in the closets that were never removed. There was also a bowl of dog food left out under the kitchen sink. We think they may have led to the ants that we couldn't get rid of on the kitchen counters!
Overall, it worked well for our group. The teenagers mostly hung out in the bedrooms or on the beach anyway! So the location was worth the inconveniences.
