There are some improvements that could be made to the property such as outside entry doors are hard to operate. There was a broken piece of decking on the loft deck that someone could have been hurt on that should have been fixed prior to our arrival. Needs a new refrigerator. Property was further from beaches than mentioned on website.

This property checked all the boxes with activities for everyone of all ages. They advertised screened in porch. No door on the porch and one of the screens was torn in half. So much for keeping out mosquitos. Also, if your going to advertise water access for fishing and crabbing, I would think you would have outside water access. There was a shower (with soap) and a hose, but no water. Glad we didn't catch a fish and we couldn't rinse off after our beach day. The upstairs sun deck is not safe since my foot went right through the rotting boards. Other than that I do have to say it was the best equipped kitchen I ever saw. Beds were very comfortable. Cleanliness was fine, but owners really need to do some TLC with repairs.

THE GOOD:
* location as a property is very good . From the top deck, absolutely gorgeous view and hey, It's why you chose it, right?
* SPICES PROVIDED. my personal favorite from renters.. I love to cook, and providing just some basic seasonings is always a plus. Bonus point always rewarded for that.
* Spacious. High celings and much room to move around in.
* close, easy access to Golf clubhouse. Also close to Marina restaurant for dinner and store for breakfast (do breakfast THERE!!), and the pool. Indoor wasn't working during our stay, but the outdoor with a great view, and really great people in the area.
THE BAD
* ------- NO INTERNET.... It WILL be spotty, and you can get it when you are lucky. Not the owner's fault, hey... it's the ocean area, so that happens.
Also NO TV. and I mean NO TV. it's gone in no time and will most likely not come back until tomorrow..maybe.
* Speaking of TV's, there are TWO. the living room is connected to the internet, the upper deck on to NOTHING...it's just a monitor.. and useless...period.
Bring either a DVD player or USB drive with movies... trust me.
THE UGLY
* I prefer a personal touch. Everything was thru management.
* No bulbs in the lamps in 2 rooms. Management did nothing when told... same for internet.
* Be sure to ask location of lockbox key. Thankfully, we met "Hot Dog" on the way in (yep, thats his name)
* Chincoteague / Beach is a 30 minute drive away

My husband and I along with our three girls ( ages 4 and 18 months) had a wonderful vacation here. It was clean, well stocked and had beautiful views. We enjoyed going to the pool at Captains Cove. We used the indoor pool during rainy days. The drive to chincoteague was an easy 30 minute drive.
My only complaint were the railings on the front porch, railings on second floor and the door to the top deck. The front porch railings were not all secure because the nails were rusted and loose. I was worried my youngest would put weight on one and fall. The upstairs railings were spaced far enough apart for my girls to fit through. The door to the top deck did not lock. We did not allow them up the spiral staircase without an adult with them the entire time.
Besides those few safety hazards our stay was perfect!

My family and I had a lovely time at this amazingly clean and cozy house! My 5 and 9 yr olds enjoyed fishing (for the first time) on the backyard dock and kayaking on the bay. The beds were really comfortable and my kids loved the loft area. The views of the water were beautiful. The interior design is a lil outdated but still in good shape- felt like I was back in my childhood yrs in the 80s which made it feel cozy and of course my mom loved the decor. My family and I will be going back next year. Might make it a yearly family tradition. Thank you Seaside Vacation!

The house location is perfect for quiet and beautiful surroundings. There were a few issues with the house itself, the TV did not work well as it kept saying the memory was full and watching an interrupted movie was impossible. The TV in the loft is not hooked up to anything so it is not usable. The fireplace did not work, we followed the instructions given but we could not get it working. There was no furniture on the front porch so we could not sit out there. I will say that the kitchen is very well stocked, the bed was very comfortable. The Management Company was excellent. They were very responsive and fixed all of the problems they were able to. All in all the property was very nice.

The Florida room was our favorite area for relaxing and watching the water views and wildlife. There was some property flooding in the driveway and grass area during high tides, yet not sure if that is constant. Really liked the decor in the house and furniture/beds were very comfortable. Mentioned a few things needing repair to Seaside Vacations so hopefully those will be taken care of before the next rentors. Overall, a nice getaway visit!

We enjoyed a lovely stay here during an after season vacation. We especially enjoyed the multiple outside seating options, including the back sunroom and the top-side deck, which makes for a nice view of sunrise or sunset. It felt very bright and spacious and was just what we were looking for to relax, while still being close to Chincoteague for some quality seafood!
