It had been four years since my family had taken a vacation and like so many others we have spent the last two years feeling very isolated. Five days at the Frisky Dolphin did the mind and body so much good. Waking up with a view of the ocean and the sun shining on our faces was exactly what we needed. We had coffee on the deck every morning, took walks on the beach, that was literally steps away, and felt lucky to have found this wonderful, affordable, well equipped home in the absolute perfect location. We were close to shopping and restaurants and a short drive to Norfolk and Virginia Beach which I highly recommend visiting.
I cook seven days a week at home and didn’t want to cook during this vacation but if I did want to cook, I had everything I needed including a huge refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, outdoor grill, coffee pot, toaster, lots of cookware, silverware and even napkins and paper towels.
The bedrooms were roomy and the bathrooms were equipped with tons of towels, a hair dryer and even some soap, toilet paper and tissues. If you run out of towels, which I doubt, the home has a full size washer & dryer.
We were disappointed that we had no WiFi and cable television for several days but the location made up for the few problems we experienced during our stay. The owner Liz was easy to reach and answered any questions we had right away. She was very helpful in recommending local restaurants to check out too.
It was very difficult to say goodbye to the Frisky Dolphin and that view. You’ll understand once you visit.
