Wunderschöne Anlage mit gemütlichen und sauberen Appartment. Sehr zuvorkommend Gastgebern und tollem Pool! Ich liebe Katzen und hatte das Glück immer mal 3 von Ihnen im Garten zu sehen. Es ist alles Fußläufig zu erreichen, Restaurant, Supermarkt und Strand in nicht mal 5Minuten. Für mich genial da ich sehr Lauf Faul bin. Toll auch das diese Gegend nicht voll mit Hotels gepflastert ist. Für mich mein schönster Urlaub!!!! Ich komme wieder. Versprochen 😀

Lovely stay with cats!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment over the last week in August/early September.
We wanted to stay near to the Cala De Mijas music festival but also were keen to stay somewhere unique away from the hotels. This fit the bill! We took a train then bus from Malaga airport to get to Cala de Mijas, and Carmen helpfully guided us to the apartment by telephone as we got a bit lost! (tip: if locating yourself by foot or using Uber, use 'Apartamentos Torrenueva Park' as the destination, google maps had difficulty finding us the real location!)
The apartment is a short walk (5 minutes) to a strip of restaurants in one direction, or a supermarket and some more restaurants in another direction (again about 5 minutes). It's just a few minutes further to get to the beach but all a relatively easy walk (a little steep coming back!).
The apartment itself is compact but very well looked after and spotlessly clean. You walk into a lounge area and kitchenette which is handy for putting together some food and relaxing on the sofa. This room leads up a couple of steps to a good sized bedroom, and a corridor leading to a bathroom. The air conditioning worked well which was good for us as it was hot when we were there! Carmen had put provisions in the fridge and cupboards for us which was a nice touch, so we had bread, cheese, meats, jams, beer, wine, juice and water all to hand when we arrived!
It goes without saying, that you need to love animals, or rather cats to fully appreciate this apartment! The apartment leads directly into the garden and pool area as pictured, but you are sharing this area with the cats so be prepared to embrace all things cat! The cats are lovely. There is a full spectrum of cat colours (!) and personalities. Some will curiously watch you come and go and sit curled up in the shade as you swim or sit drinking a coffee, and some are curious and friendly, with a couple liking nothing better than sharing the sun lounger with you as you read a book! We found the cats to be a really unique aspect to our stay. After the festival we had a couple of days just to look around Cala de Mijas and the beaches, and we ended up just coming back to the Villa for most of the time because we found it relaxing just sitting reading with the cats and then having a dip in the pool to cool off every now and again!
Carmen was around in the larger house throughout our stay but was never intrusive but there if needed. We bumped into her a few times and had a nice chat and asked for various bits of local knowledge which she was happy to help us with. She really is a star in looking after the cats that share her property and also the local area that she tirelessly feeds on the streets in the vicinity.
The pool is deceptively deeper than it looks, and was really nice to use to have a small swim and just cool off. From the apartment you can walk further to go to bigger supermarkets or a wider range of restaurants in the town as needed, they are all within walking distance although you may want to hop in an uber if you happen to be here on a really hot day (we found ubers to be very cheap and quick!)
All in all we had a lovely stay at the apartment and would recommend wholeheartedly to any couple who would love a quiet stay but who also love being surrounded by cats!

Perfect Private Relaxation
We stayed in the apartment for two weeks at the end of sept and had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed having our own garden space and pool, and we loved playing with the cats and watching them interact! The apartment is very comfortable, with everything you need and more and the beach nearby is beautiful and only a ten minute walk with many beach bars and rented beds. So many restaurants nearby of a very high quality. The bus is easy to use to get to Fuengirola or Marbella. A taxi to Mijas Pueblo the beautiful old style village in the mountains was only €20 or you can get two buses for less than €5 per person. A must visit for wonderful views and craft shops! Malaga city is not far on train from Fuengirola station and is truly breathtaking. We will miss all our kitty friends! Thank you to Carmen and Claus for a lovely holiday.

Purrfffcccttt holiday 🐱🐱!!
Superb apartment with a totally private garden and pool...as Arnie would say....we'll be bak!!! Carmen and Klaus were available but discreet and the pussycats adorable! Clean bright spacious apartment with WiFi tv fridge hob iron and ironing board masses of toiletries BBQ sunloungers comfy chairs.
Extremely quiet area purrfffcccttt for a relaxing couples holiday close to beautiful restaurants safe sandy beaches and bars etc. The heart of La Cala no more than a 10mins walk...

A little piece of heaven!
We stayed here for 1 week from 8th September. Carmen and Klaus made us feel very welcome, and had left some goodies in the fridge for us, which we very much appreciated. This apartment is a little piece of heaven. Very clean with everything provided, including toiletries, suncreams etc and lots of towels. It is very quiet and perfect for a couple who just want to 'get away from it all' and relax. However, it really does help if you are a cat lover. We counted at least 10 in the garden, playing with each other and sunbathing. The cats are very friendly and are more than happy to be stroked. Every morning at least 8 cats were waiting for us to come out to play! We really enjoyed sharing their garden. We were very lucky to be able to try Klaus' home made paella, which was delicious. Thank you Klaus. A few minutes walk down the hill you will find restaurants and bars, and there are more just a little further on. We also had a BBQ in the garden at the apartment (with the pussy cats). We really can't wait to return here, and thank you so much to Carmen and Klaus for allowing us to share your beautiful home, and being wonderful hosts xx

Enjoyed every minute!
Carmen and klaus made us feel very welcome. The apartments was perfect for our needs. We spent a lot of time in the pool and sunbathing by the side. The cats are wonderful.
We used the buses and trains, It was so easy to move across the coast. There’s shops and restaurants within walking distance. We used cheaptaximalaga.com for our airport transfers @ €45 each way. We will definitely be returning 😀

Totaly relaxing with cattastic entertainment.
First time we have visited La Cala and we could not resist the apartment for cat lovers. Everything was really nice with fresh fruit and all the start up essentials in the fridge. Carmen made us very welcome on arrival and helped us settle in.
Then it was let the entertainment begin, forget the TV and sit out in the evening and watch the cats play. They are very friendly and we soon had half a dozen coming around for breakfast ( we took quite a few packs of Dreamies with us ).
To see them getting down and drinking from the pool was quite something.
So if you are a cat person give this place a try, you will not regret it.
We will be going back later in the year.

A Sanctuary for Humans and Cats!
Beautiful self contained Villa with everything you could possibly need. Lovely private sunny garden and pool, you can smell the Orange blossom as you relax and unwind. The cats are most welcome visitors to the garden. We did not hire a car and didn't need one. Within easy walking distance are several very good restaurants and bars. The beach is five mins walk although we preferred the privacy of the beautiful garden. There is a regular bus service to get to places further afield and we visited the beautiful mountainside village of Mijas Pueblo and also went to Marbella. Carmen and Klaus were very friendly and they make sure you have everything you need, but having said that you never see them unless you want anything as they leave you in complete solitude. We came back refreshed after a wonderful week of peace and rest, and are certainly planning to go back to our little human sanctuary again!

Perfect Place for a Peaceful Private Holiday
The apartment is a very short walk to a small but very adequate supermarket plus a handful of bars and restaurants. However if you want to walk a further 10-15mins and use the underpass you will be greeted with many more restaurants and bars and an amazing beach in Costa de Mijas.
As for the beautiful cats that share the garden with you, we believe it added to the tranquillity of our holiday. Well behaved and fun to watch.
Carmen and Klaus were the perfect hosts, very discreet but available if necessary. The welcome pack was much appreciated and was a lovely touch. The apartment was spotless and had every facility and utensil that you need.
