Sa Pleta Rustica Manacor, Majorca, Spain
Found this Finca, a place to stay for up to 12 people in Manacor, Spain. The island itself has a number of great areas the most expensive is Deia on the west side of the island of Majorca or Mallorca as it is sometimes referred to. Manacor is nearer to the main city of Palma. Palma is an old city with Arab influences like many in Sicily. This Finca, Sa Pleta Rustica is a farmhouse property like any of Argi Turisme that dot most of Puglia in southern Italy. A friend knew of thus place and we took his word despite not finding it on Trip Advisor. The property is immaculate, consists of some 7 hectares and the house dates back to an estimated 200 years. No concrete, just stones and mud hold this beautiful property together. It has a really good sized pool of maybe 25 meters, an entertainment room, dinning room outdoor patio, full kitchen and private baths plus a laundry room and dishwasher. What else does anyone need? Take a short ride from there to the Raefael Nadal Academy and enjoy the virtual reality games for young and old. Visit the trophy room of the greatest tennis player, Nadal, who lives on the island. You may just bump into him in a restaurant. Again staying at this place we four couples had a blast, not far from Manacor and its shops nor from the more touristy spots. Get a car trip over to Deia or Palma for a visit to the largest cathedral in Europe. Tried to write a review but it sadly wasn’t on Trip Advisor so I convinced the owner to do whatever. Great place to chill. Great people, kept spotless. May just go back next year.
