We were a bit nervous before arriving but the photos do not really do this apartment justice. It is very well appointed and modern. Very clean and clearly well look-after. Good bedrooms and lovely bathroom with powerful shower. The balcony is actually over the small public parking area but there is a very good sea view from it. And it is just a minute from the beach. The agent was very efficient, helpful and friendly. As other reviewers have mentioned there is no wifi but I just 'touched down' at the agent's occasionally. There are a couple of beach restaurants very close and a few more within walking distance. Pals is a family resort and not somewhere to go for a rocking nightlife - but that suited us perfectly. Two points. As the listing makes clear this is on the third floor and you have to walk.Not a problem for us but something to bear in mind. The air conditioning is in the main room not the bedrooms, but this is fine because it spreads through effectively and the apartment is naturally coolish through design. OverallI would highly recommend it.

Came in June this time and unfortunately the weather let us down. The apartment however was just as comfortable. We didn't watch the 40 inch Samsung but it was there should you wish to. The modern cooker,fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine all came in handy. As before sitting at the tabe on the large balcony looking at the Med is a joy. In my last review I said the one thing lacking was wifi even though the lovely ladies at Sa Punta let us log onto their office broadband. We were delighted to be give a little Vodafone 4g device that converted it's super fast signal to wifi for up to 10 devices all within the cost of the rental. The free off peak parking is a real boom in season as the traffic wardens are very determined. Will we come back? Definitely!

Stayed in this lovely apartment for a week in early September after a few days touring through France. It has two bedrooms one extremely comfortable and the second furnished with bunk beds which were unused as there was just the two of us and a lovely walk in shower (no bath.) The lounge kitchen is large and comfortable with full sized fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The nice man from the agents fitted a new satellite receiver on the first day so we could get a couple of English news channels on the 40 inch Samsung flat screen TV. The living room is air conditioned but because of the lovely through breeze we did not need to use it at all. The balcony is very large with lovely views and has a full sized table for alfresco dinning. An added bonus was the private off street parking as the local traffic wardens were still in full flow until eight o'clock in the evening. This area has little in the way of WiFi so we were delighted when the local agent Mariona invited us to use the WiFi at the office and gave us the code to use it even when the office was closed. Really lovely people. We have visited Platya d Pals many times but never stayed there. Having found this little gem we will definitely be back. The location is ideal for exploring this part of the Costa Brava and a real break from hotels where after a while searching for restaurants become a bit of a bore.
