Looking at the pictures on the website I knew going in, it was going to be old-fashioned. Arriving the pictures on the website do not represent the disgusting nature of this Basement apartment. The picture of the door for the West Wing apartment is not the door you walk into, it goes downstairs into the basement, as the AC unit from an above unit drips on your head and all over the ground. Walking into the unit the is a dehimidifier blowing HOT air into the kitchen, very counterproductive when it is 90 outside and the small AC unit in the window is trying to cool the place. There were holes in the walls, so many layers of paint on the wall the doors dont even shut. The linens has stains all over them and the couch looked like it had not been cleaned in 20 years. Upon further inspection there was mold in the bathroom, and due to allergies in our group we could not stay. The whole place just felt disgusting. I did call the health department, who inspected it and called me and told the owners to shut down the room and take care of the mold (which was also found in the kitchen (the reason for the dehumidifier perhaps). The owner is telling us and other people that the health department found nothing, but this is inaccurate. Please call the health department if you have questions, they will tell you what they told me. The owners dis show us another unit which was very nice, but due to back issues, and it being upstairs I was unable to take it. After a while they did refund out money, but I would definitely not stay here, especially in the West wing ever.
