The location is amazing but we had so many bad surprises ...
Since our arrival, the wifi was not working and did not get fixed the whole week.
The house is poorly equipped for the expected standard (no kitchen towel, basic cooking material, some not working like the juicer). Weak water pressure in the showers, one with only cold water...
We knew there would be construction work in the back of the house, and the deal was that we could leave if the noise became bothering. In that case, remaining days would be refunded.
The consequences of the construction work were way worse than only noise. The air conditioning was disconnected on the third day and never reconnected.
Some fresh concrete was falling on the front part of the house, therefore we were unable to use the terrace during 2 days. All that was very inconvenient, together with the fact that the pool guy did not show up for the first 3 days, leading to the pool turning green. Then he shock treated it and we were unable to use the pool for 48h. We complained several times, but were left with no empathy, solution or discount.
But the last straw was this: the roof had been removed for the construction, and a heavy seasonal rain flooded the house with a couple inches of water. We spent many hours trying to remove the water from each bedroom, the stairs and the living room. The water was even pouring through the ACs and the electrical sockets. The next morning we had enough and left. The owner of the house was totally unapologetic and did not offer a compensation for the last night and previous issues.
We understand he was not present on the island to see the issues with his own eyes, but we sent him pictures and videos, and yet he made nothing to made us even.

The guest was notified that there’s was a big construction and remodeling of the house. She agreed to rent the house and pay less than half of the regular price amd agreed that it won’t be nice but she really wanted to stay in the house.
She used the house and wanted a full refund and basically told me if I don’t reimburse the money for all nights she will leave a bad feedback
I guess this happens when you try to agreed with pósele that only looking for a free stay

Estancia en Casa Libelula
Nos hemos alojado una semana en Casa Libélula, 3 adultos y 3 niños. La casa tiene una situación espectacular, a 10minutos del centro y sin embargo en una playa poco transitada. Está literalmente en la playa con una alberca preciosa y bien mantenida.
La casa está muy bien equipada y el equipo de mantenimiento y limpieza funciona perfecto. Dispone de wifi y de electrodomésticos menores. Si se requiere limpieza de ropa la casa también ofrece el servicio.
Rene el dueño es una persona atenta y que está accesible para responder cualquier tema de forma inmediata. Nosotros incluso tuvimos un inconveniente al llegar y él estuvo pendiente para resolver de forma inmediata.
Nos encanto la casa y repetiremos sin duda.

Reservation cancelled 10 days before arrival, 6 months after reservation
Shock is all I can say to describe the cancellation.
No recourse for the 6 of us in regard to the reservation. Monies were returned quickly by Trip Advisor, but no compensation by them.
In hindsight and after reading those who replaced us at Casa Libelula, I see now that our replacement location, Casa Mariposa, (sugggested by this owner) was a major improvement. Near town, TV, concierge, maid service and $1000 less for same week and time frame.

Casa Libélula
Perfect vacation home for the whole family with a complete functional kitchen and while there is no dryer and washer Joceline will gladly help you with that she is tha housekeeper end a sweet person we were glad she was there to help .The house is complete with everything you’ll need to have the best experience while in the islan .The house sits on the northwest side of the island in a semi aislaste area within steps from the ocen all 3 rooms have the perfect ocean view and about a 10 minute walk from the downtown the pool was the perfec evening hang out A perder way to unwind from all The daily activity there are two kayaks for the guests to use the rain spoiled our vacation for the first 3 days with nothing to do but play cards and have long conversations the house offers free wi-Fi but with the storms it was really slow and at times nonexistent there is also no tv’s in the house which during the 3 days of storms could’ve been a big help with the kids but all along we had the best time in casa Libelula and the kids really enjoyed it I will definitely come back . The owner Rene was there via Phone the whole time prior to the arrival making sure we were taking care off and other times while we were in the house he is a nice person I will defenytly recomend this house if you trying to experience the best time in holbox
